Size of the room is good enough for a family. Convenient location to have family mark, local restaurants and pharmacy around. Keyless room door access is amazing, I don’t have to worry my key card while going out. But we have difficulty to get into the main entrance without any password on our 1st day arrival. It made us sooo confusing that there has no front desk. Still wondering why I didn’t receive any email or msg before the check in date. Luckily one of the Japanese couple help us to solve while they passed by. A bit strange but never expected I have to pay extra 200yen per person before check in from a machine. Still don’t understand why we don’t have any notice before booking but on arrival. Wish all that can help the hotel to improve better in future.

It is clean and hygienic, with a washing machine and kitchen, suitable for family living. However, it may be difficult for first-time users if no one is checking in. It would be better to add a few more clothes racks.

The room was fine. I had to pay an additional fee when I checked in, and it was only by credit card, which was very inconvenient! If it had been included in the hotel rate in advance, I would have been able to stay there without any problems, so that's a shame.

We stayed here for a total of ten days from July 21 to 31. The hotel uses a machine to arrange check-in. It is necessary to pay a tax of 200 yen per day for each guest. For tourists, it is necessary to pay with a credit card. This is pay attention. In terms of location, it is basically within a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Hakata Station, Tenjin Station, and Tenjin-Minami Station. Its environment and indoor facilities are clean and comfortable, just like ordinary residences. However, since he basically has no front desk staff, we need to buy our own daily necessities (such as shower gel) when we need to replenish them. And they state that cleaning service will not be provided during the check-in period, so for those of us who stay in the same hotel for a long time, we need to clean it ourselves.

We spent 4 nights at the end of December 2023 at Grand Base Fukuoka. The room seemed a little smaller than the photos, however was alright for our family of 4 including 8 and 11yo kids. Much appreciated was the modern bathroom with shower and self-filling bath tub, and the washing machine. Would have liked slightly wider double beds and space for more seating in the living/ dinner area (the couch was just cosy for 2 people). We had to wait a little while for another guest to complete their procedure to check in at the terminal (for some reason I couldn’t click the link to pre-check-in on the website. Maybe as I am not a resident?). There was some server connection error but once I called the help number on the counter they helped me out. We sought help two more times when we keyed in the wrong room code and for help to book an early morning taxi. The first was dealt with helpfully, the latter was not so successful as the staff eventually explained they couldn’t help with booking taxis (we managed to book via the Go app eventually). The location was convenient - we walked most places - to Canal City, the Tenjin underground market. All about 10-15 minutes walk. We also walked about 7 minutes to catch the bus to Ohori Park. Overall a smooth stay.

We loved our stay at Grand Base Fukuoka-the beds and pillows were comfortable. The duvet/comforter can be improved since it bunches up at times. Within walking distance to Canal City and Tenjin Minami station. We liked how spacious the room was, with a dining table and sofa, 2 balconies and 2 bedrooms with 4 beds-just right for our family of 5. We were lacking 1 chair though. One of my few concerns was the trash, there no specific instructions on how to dispose of the trash since this was an unmanned hotel. We chanced upon a cleaner 1 day and had them dispose of our trash. The wifi conked out the last 2 days out of the 7 nights during our stay, so this was a major issue for me. We had no way of letting our hotel know about this issue. So communication with hotel got a low rating. Better bring some dishcloth for cleaning up stuff since there was no cleaning service included.

Pros It took 5minutes to bus stop and 10-15minutes to train. And around 15minutes to tenjin. It was quiet and there was supermarket near the hostel. Cons There were insufficient kitchenware, only provided a very dilapidated pan and pot. We had to buy laundry detergent which was not provided.

They forgot to send us the room number and password for checking in which made us to wait for a hour!

When I arrived at the hotel to check in at 3pm, it was still being cleaned. I was really surprised. I was very disappointed because I had plans after this. They didn't have enough toilet paper, so I went to a nearby convenience store to buy some.

It was very clean and I felt comfortable using it. However, even though I had made a reservation for 5 people, I was only able to find towels and toothbrushes for 4 people, so I tried to contact them using my tablet, but I couldn't connect, so I was in trouble. In the end, I had a spare one on the shelf above the entrance, so it was okay, but I was worried about not being able to contact them, so I wanted them to fix it.

The location is convenient, close to the subway, there are many restaurants nearby, and there is a supermarket 2 minutes' walk away The large area of ​​the living room bench makes the living room space narrow, and children may bump into it easily. The worst thing is the sofa in the living room. It has two holes and is impossible to sit on. Why not replace it?

The equipment is well-equipped and it is very convenient to cook simple meals by yourself. The accommodation location has a good environment and high cp value. The only drawback is that cleaning is not provided for consecutive stays.
