"I stayed at Highland Resort Hotel & Spa and had an amazing experience! My room came with a stunning Mount Fuji view — it honestly felt like a dream waking up to that sight every morning. 🌄
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the onsen was super relaxing after a long day. The breakfast buffet had so many delicious options too!
The location is perfect — just beside Fuji-Q Highland and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Everything about this hotel made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely come back again! ❤️"
"A great hotel. Though the immediate area felt a little remote, it's very close to Fuji-Q Highland. Within walking distance, you can find small restaurants, a yakiniku buffet, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. The rooms were quite spacious, offering views of Mount Fuji from the window. Breakfast was also good, with a decent selection. As we had a private car, I'm not familiar with the public transport options in the area."
"We experienced a water outage, but the staff were very responsive and even refunded us. You can buy Japanese ingredients to cook at home, and they provide pots and pans, which was awesome."
"The place is huge, able to fit at least 5 pax. It split up the shower into dry and wet area. The toilet bowl is also in a separate room. We cooked at this place as it has all the necessary wares. You could also rent the barbecue set for a price. When we are there it came with 4 ticket to the public onsen just beside the cottage.
The only cons in my opinion is you should probably drive to the place."
"The guide is written in various languages. When I inquired by phone, a foreign staff member who could speak Japanese answered my phone. The response was very smooth and there were no problems. There seem to be a lot of foreign guests staying at the hotel. The location is also very convenient."
"Less cooking utensils and seem deteriorating
Washing machine not clean and even dirty
Lighting at dining and living room not sufficient
Bedroom should be provided with TV
Air conditioning and bathroom are good
No sabu sabu device available"
"The location is decent. There's a shuttle service available to Fuji-Q Highland and Lake Kawaguchiko. You can also take a train to ****, and the train station itself doubles as a shopping mall with various shops and eateries. On the downside, the facilities are a bit dated, they still use physical keys for the rooms, and the area gets very quiet at night with no convenience stores nearby."
"I was very satisfied with every aspect of my stay. Hotel interior was beautiful and pictures can’t do justice to how amazing the views of Mt. Fuji were. Service was incredible and the in room dinner was amazing. Would definitely come back for another stay."
"Fujishan Station is a 5-minute walk away. It is convenient to travel. The page may not be clear enough about the facilities. When booking the room, it was considered a homestay because of the cheap price, but it was actually a business hotel. There was a separate bathroom in the room. The room was small, but the environment was clean and the price was very high. I only stayed for one night this time. Have the opportunity to stay again."
"Overall, we were extremely satisfied. It's conveniently located right behind Mount Fuji Station. The rooms are spacious and have a lovely Nordic design. The twin beds can be combined into one, which is perfect for families with kids. The shower has excellent water pressure, making it very comfortable."

Outstanding
SSTReceived the instructions to check in days before our stay, and instructions are super clear.
The house is very clean, and comes with everything we need - stove, washer and other basics. Ground floor is the living hall and bathroom, upstairs there’s one bedroom and outer area where are floor bed are placed.
We went there with average temperature of 4 degrees so the floor were freezing cold and it took a while to activate the heat.
Location wise pretty good, right opposite there’s a 7-11, and down the street 10-15 mins walk there’s the Hikawa Clock Shop, but we don’t see any restaurant nearby maybe because we were there during New Year closure
GGuest UserI stayed for two nights on the first floor in a bunk bed.
It was my first time staying at this type of accommodation, but I had a comfortable stay.
My mom is also a nice person, and she was using it for a Johnny's concert.
My mom is also a Queen fan, and when she told me about going to a LIVE show next year, it was easy to talk to her because I felt a little sympathy for her ^ ^
AAnonymous UserGreat location, friendly staff, nice room. We stayed in a private room and they provided towels and toothbrushes. All common areas were clean. There were shower gel and shampoo in the shared bathroom, wich is nice. There is a good restaurant across the hostel.
The only thing I don't like was the smell in the room. It was strong and unpleasant. There is no window to open to get rid of the smell. It was hard to stay there long. They use air fresheners to deal with the smell but i don't like it too. I prefer no smell indoors at all.
SShennongjiasuoniIn the hotel's R1 room, you can even see Mount Fuji directly while lying down🥰The Japanese boss has a very good attitude towards Chinese people, and there is no problem communicating in English. The room is quite big for two people. There is a 711 and the very famous Inari Shrine within a five-minute walk, 100%💯💯💯
PPpemikaI arrived late at night from Fuji Station and had to pay 3,700 yen for a taxi. I was surprised when I got there because the house was located on a hill and the road was very dark. I asked the taxi driver to wait while I walked down to check. Luckily, the lights were on and I found the host waiting to welcome us warmly, even though it was already late.
Owner had already prepared hot water and asked what time we would like to take a bath. She even guided us to a small onsen. The host was very attentive and kind.
Although the place looked a bit scary at night from the outside, the inside was very warm and cozy. When I woke up the next morning, I felt completely rested. The room was clean, and the host’s hospitality made the whole experience feel so worthwhile. I felt like the money I spent was totally worth it—it gave me not only comfort but also beautiful memories.
The atmosphere was like staying in a countryside vacation home—quiet, peaceful, and heartwarming.
If you’re planning to rent a car, this is definitely a place I’d recommend. There’s a parking space, and it’s not crowded at all.
I truly want to recommend this place!
GGuest UserA fun glamping experience. I really think the cabins could benefit from management staying in them overnight from time to time - things like no hooks to hang things, dark and smoky vestibules outside the cabins, pots that don't work on induction heat etc. could be resolved.
But overall a well-managed place in a nice location.
