The hotel is pretty nice with a very nice hot spring and a nice comfy bed. Cons are that the interior is slightly worn and the toilet has some slight smell, probably due to the age of the hotel. The common hot spring interior area also has a fairly strong smell which I didn’t experience in other Dormy inns.

This lovely hotel (its a bit dated, but everything is clean and very nice) is right on the lake, and very quiet. Its 10 minutes driving distance from the Kawaguchi-Ko bus stand/train station and there is a free hotel shuttle every hour. I would definitely go for rooms with a view - either of the lake, or of Fujisan. We went for rooms with lake view, and very much enjoyed it. I went in the early afternoon on a Saturday and, while initially I shared the onsen with 4 other Japanese ladies, eventually I had the whole onsen for myself.
