"It doesn’t matter that the hotel is old. The look at the front desk that looked like a widower really made me worried for her. The service quality in Japan has declined after the epidemic. It is no longer the Japan it used to be. I don’t recommend staying there."

"All aspects are OK, the service needs to increase staff, the catering needs to be improved, especially the handling of raw and cooked food, cold and hot food, it would be better to have separate instructions"
"We like the traditional Japanese room experience. The bed is very comfortable.
The indoor onsen is okay. The outdoor onsen condition is not very nice and quite small.
Their restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the food a lot. Definitely to book a night with set dinner. Very friendly staffs."
"Super fast check in. Self check in available.
Big lobby area for R&R with free amenities provided!
Room was ok, nothing worth noting. Worth staying a day or 2 as prices for the hotel is very reasonable."
"Although the location is a bit inconvenient (about 10 minutes walk from the station) and there are no other attractions/shopping spots nearby
But the facilities in the hotel are enough to enjoy a whole day, including hot springs, table tennis, karaoke, and a lot of comics in the reading area.
The buffet in the restaurant is also delicious, and there is also fish for breakfast
A very cost-effective choice!"
"I traveled with my mom since she came to visit and hasnt been to the area, it's easily the best service I've ever received - the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful and the property is absolutely gorgeous. I definitely plan on returning in the future, perhaps yearly for a getaway. Thank you so much for the delightful stay!"
"The hotel room is very modern, the health is good, the room is equipped with a massage hot spring bath, it is very convenient to soak in the room!
The staff is very caring, the service is attentive and thoughtful, the food tastes super good 😋😋 I stayed for two consecutive nights and the meal was not repeated. The exquisite and delicious food was very comfortable in the independent room.
The breakfast choice is rich. I thought it was a general buffet breakfast, but there is a designated table with the room, and the food tastes good, the preparation is attentive, it is a good buffet breakfast.
The public hot spring is fully equipped, and you can also make an online reservation for a private style. It is equipped with shower facilities. It is very convenient. It is very convenient to take a bath with friends!
If you have the opportunity, you will definitely book this hotel next time you go to Shihe Hot Spring Area 😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

Great
GGuest UserA classic old-school modern hotel with ryokan-type service. The room is huge and has excellent views of the river. On a good day, it should be possible to see Mount Fuji as well. There is also big onsen area with an outdoor bath area.
Dinner is served on the ground floor restaurant and it was a delicious multicourse meal which includes really good wagyu steak with wasabi shoyuzuke. Dessert also includes the region's famed grapes. Breakfast was served buffet style with selection of Japanese and western items.
I drove to the hotel with a rental car. It is not too far from a station on a local line but I recommend driving around to explore instead. The patrons to the hotel also seemed more local.
GGuest UserBoth children and I are very satisfied with the sudden change and the meals are more variable than I imagined.
Only one point ... I checked in at the relaxation corner and thought that I would make a reservation immediately, and when I went to the reception, I was told that it was impossible to make a reservation at 17:00 and I was very looking forward to the massage. It was a pity.
The response of the female staff at the relaxation reception was not good.
JJollyConvenient to drive to, plenty of parking spaces, the service is all Japanese, very warm, polite and reliable, unlike new hotels where there are foreign workers affecting the experience
The hotel is old but well maintained. The area is larger than expected. There is a Japanese garden for taking photos. The food is good and tastes better than expected. There is a cherry blossom street near the Ishiwa Onsen Street.
GGladys KimotoFor family of 4, the room of this hotel is EXCELLENT! So comfortable, cozy, spacious, clean and safe! Complete with ALL AMENITIES we need, plus they have complementary drinks and snacks, Kid-Safe environment plus the night lights at the backyard of this room is STUNNING!!!! We went to Yamanashi to visit Mt. Fuji and super thankful that we got to stay in this Hotel, 15-20mins drive away from Lake Kawaguchiko, where the best photo spots for Mt. Fuji, they also have in-hotel food and beverages for sale, easy to transact, and would really feel at home because of the Privacy and Security plus Cozy ambiance ☺️ Will definitely come back here!!!
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay with our 5 year old
It was a treat to stay in a traditional hotel with Yukata and sleeping on Tatami beds.
The food was absolutely amazing and very delicately prepared. Luckily, we had our own private open air bath, otherwise it was extremely difficult to book any reservations for the onsen and private baths.
By the time we checked in, everything was pretty much fun
Our kid loved the cute kid's amenities kit, feeding the carp and walking through the garden.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
AandylyVery good oil hotel, perfect equipment, clean and tidy rooms, daily necessities are all available, convenient location, courteous staff, thoughtful care, next time you book the choice.
