Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's "aged". Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying "gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it".

A very pleasant surprise. The hotel is located just outside of Fort William (thankfully). A picturesque estate. We stayed in a coach house room, which was nicely appointed with parking right outside the door. Modern heritage style. Fantastic view of Ben Nevis. Dinner in the main house was wonderful. As you would expect from Mr Roux junior at £145, it should be excellent and did not disappoint. Cocktail on arrival, pianist in the hall and great food. We could not fault the place, apart from the soulless pub on the grounds. I totally recommend Inverlochy Castle Hotel.

We stayed here for (2) nights in a suite which was spacious, gorgeous and beautifully appointed. We didn’t leave the hotel so had all meals at the property. From delicious salmon and eggs for breakfast to a gourmet sausage roll for lunch and then a beautifully presented, perfectly delivered evening meal in two different dining rooms. We really enjoyed the privacy of Inverlochy, the discreet and professionalism of all the staff. It’s a lovely property to have a getaway to and the sun shone and we had stunning views of Ben Nevis out of our window. I mean, who could ask for anything more.

We entered this hotel/castle experience expecting it to be the highlight of our trip. It was a gorgeous hotel experience for sure! The views are amazing. However, it did not meet our expectation! We purchased the 5-course meal which was a fun experience, but for the cost (£145/person+drinks on top) versus the benefit we did not think it was worth it. If you do not love thinks like chicken liver or munk fish then spend your money at their Pub instead! The room was clean and large but the faucets in the bathroom were loose which I would not expect given the category of stay this is. We also would expect that the windows would be dusted for spider webs, but they had massive webs in them (outside the window, but window open to keep room cool). Overall, for the price/experience, we recommend finding another castle to stay at.

Service is a total joke in this hotel. The staff keeps on stressing you out from arrival about tight schedule and jacket to be worn and do not know how to allocate rooms to start with. Cleaning staff putting on a show cleaning off walls and stairs in 5 people when you exit your room. The food is good but not outstanding, not worth the money, nor the airs they are putting on. This is exhausting, ridiculous, and a ripp off.

The staff is 5+. The breakfast was fabulous, the grounds were breathtaking. We visited the Pub for dinner and the food and staff were wonderful. The overall Castle building is in need of some structural updates. Some fresh paint, wall paper and carpet would be lovely. The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars. It needs a refresh.

My wife and I have just spent a night at the most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed at. From the moment we stepped in the front door, the staff treated us like royalty. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to The King's Suite which was amazing with sumptious furnishings , a separate lounge and a spectacular bathroom. We ate at The Seasgair restaurant and enjoyed the tasting menu . Thank you for a wonderful stay

We found it to be extremely subpar. DO NOT fall for these photos. The service was poor. We pulled up and no one was there to greet us or help with bags. We arrived a bit early and couldn’t check in so when we inquired about lunch the restaurant was booked out for a driving group and we had to eat in the lobby. When we finally did check in the room was literally awful. We booked the garden room and it was tiny, dark, and dirty. The entire room was so cheaply done. The shower floor was a plastic tray. The “tile” on the wall was plastic. Even the bedside lamps were plastic. The bed was HORRIBLE. Hard and lumpy with a dirty thin cheap cover. We then went for drinks and the waiter didn’t even come over for 30 minutes. We had to literally go get someone. The Wi-Fi is essentially unusable unless you are in the lobby. The “amenities” are cheap lit We have yet to have the dinner here… but so far this hotel is a TOTAL pass. At least the new addition of the Garden rooms are.
