"The room was nice with a beautiful view of the town and over the river with a comfortable bed and all amenities you could want including a washing machine and drying room. Staff were nice and I had a few conversations with the younger guy who told me he was new to the hotel only working there for the last week or so, with impressive English and a charming attitude he made a very good impression and made us feel at home and it felt like all our needs were met. if you’re thinking of booking a place to stay in Fenghuang I would recommend this place in a heartbeat"

"The guesthouse is located on a commercial street right next to the ancient town. Be aware that the street is quite narrow for vehicles, making it tricky to pass other cars. Upon arrival, the owner thoughtfully led us to parking on an electric scooter and then brought the driver back to the guesthouse, which was very convenient. The highlight for us was the guesthouse's balcony, offering direct, unbeatable views of the ancient town! Even when the bars in the old town were lively at night, the guesthouse remained remarkably quiet with the doors and windows closed, ensuring our rest was completely undisturbed. There are plenty of great food options nearby, and you can step directly into the ancient town from the building. Overall, it was a decent stay. However, a significant drawback was the lack of hot water for showers in the evening. It seemed hot water might not be supplied late at night, as our entire family ended up taking cold showers."

"Upon entering the guesthouse, a subtle floral scent greeted me, immediately lifting my spirits. I absolutely adored the beautiful view from the balcony; it was so captivating that I wished I could sit there all day. While the room wasn't huge, it was perfectly adequate. The guesthouse hosts were incredibly warm and friendly. A special thank you to the lady owner for helping me arrange a taxi. Many thanks! My trip was truly enhanced by meeting all of you."

"The owner is really a nice person and helpful, i was coming for the first time and not sure about the route so she helped me with it and when i am going the next day she helped me to get a taxi. They even helped me carry my luggage to the taxi and since there are a lot of stairs i am really grateful for it. The room is really clean and new, the toilet and shower room and right next to each other. Its also very convenient since they use AI thus we don’t really have to walk from the bed to open the curtain 😆. The view is also awesome especially during night time. I love the vibe of the room, to me it’s the mix of modern and a little vintage feel. Really recommend this place !"

"Firstly, we booked a street side room, but I saw the room with a balcony over the river and it is well-worth the upgrade!! Highly recommend splurging for the river view. The owner/manager was great, spoke English, and was very helpful. He met us where the taxi dropped us and assisted with carrying our luggage. He did the same when we left, which was much appreciated. If you book pretty much any of the hotels along the river, you will need to walk a bit and it might be a bit difficult. One thing to be mindful of is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the vicinity. That’s just part of the experience being along the river. The hotel provides a plug in device for mosquitoes and once you turn on the a/c, the mosquitoes tend to go away. Still, you may want to bring some bug spray. There were a couple other types of bugs around, but overall not too unpleasant. Again, nothing much any of the river-side inns can do about it. We stayed for just one night so even though the room is small, we managed ok. Overall, we highly recommend this inn, but go for the riverside view with balcony. It’s beautiful and you will be able to take very cute photos there."

"The owner is very nice and helpful. There are 14 people in our group and the owner and his team arranged 3 cars to pick us up at the train station and help carry our luggages to our room in the second floor. They also upgraded some of our rooms to the better ones. The river view from the room is very nice. The location is out of the busy area which took approx. 15-20 minutes walk to the main area. I think the location is fine for non-party group like us. Really recommended this hotel for your visit in Fenghuang town."

"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great—slightly away from the main tourist areas, so it’s peaceful and less crowded, yet still very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to find food and essentials. The hotel faces the river, offering a nice view, and you don’t have to drag your luggage over any rocky paths—the car can drive right up to the entrance, which is a big plus. We stayed in the rooftop room on the 4th floor. While there’s no elevator, the staff were very helpful and carried our luggage up during check-in and back down when we checked out. The owner and staff were all friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable."

"Our hotel stay was in a suite with a spacious balcony offering a stunning view of Hong Bridge (虹桥, Hóngqiáo) in Fenghuang. At night, the bridge was beautifully illuminated, creating a breathtaking scene. The hotel owner, Ah Ming, provided excellent service, always taking great care of us. He helped carry our luggage and even offered a shuttle service to and from the train station. The heating system, including the room heater, worked perfectly, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. Ah Ming was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist and provide useful information throughout our stay. This hotel truly offers one of the most spectacular views—an absolutely unforgettable experience!"

"Had a fantastic stay at Jianyun Riverview Hostel. The location is fantastic as it is a minute’s walk from the main road where I got dropped off but it is also by the river and about 20 meters from the tower and about 100 meters from the central bridge. It is right in the middle of the ancient city with attractions in both directions. The room and the bathroom are modern, and well done. The views from the room are perfect and there are comfortable seats with views of the river for relaxing. The front desk staff Xiao Zhang helped with all my queries using WeChat translate and went above and beyond in ensuring a comfortable stay. The only issue was that the noise in the ancient city dies down only after 11pm but that’s not the hotel’s fault. All in all, a fantastic stay that rivals my stay in the Gdansk waterfront and at a fantastic price."

"The location is excellent, very close to the performance venue, and the riverside views are absolutely stunning. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond: she drove us to the bus station to catch a taxi and even helped us with our luggage in the rain. A huge thank you to her! The scenery was so beautiful that I couldn't resist extending my stay for another day."
