Fenghuang Hotels with Wifi

"This is a wonderful hotel to stay at when visiting Fenghuang. Its about 15min taxi ride from train station and right to the hotel front door for 26 yuan. The staff are super friendly and helpful - communicate to them via wechat. I had a 25kg suitcase and staff carried it up 2 flights of stairs for me, theres no lift. The room and view is as pictured - has everything you need for a pleasant stay. 1 full day is enough to see everything - started around 10.30am and went back to hotel by 4.30pm to shower and rest then ventured out after 7pm for dinner and the night lights... got back at 10.30pm. If you pay extra to visit the local historical attractions and watch the show then its best to stay 2 nights - I just wandered the streets, ate and shopped. Theres some very nice and cheap souvenirs here! I really enjoyed my time in Fenghuang thanks to the hotel and staff. Simply amazing! Highly recommend this hotel. It may look far from ancient town centre on the map but only 10min walk. Wear comfy shoes, you will get a good workout exploring here!"

"Upon entering the guesthouse, a subtle floral scent greeted me, immediately lifting my spirits. I absolutely adored the beautiful view from the balcony; it was so captivating that I wished I could sit there all day. While the room wasn't huge, it was perfectly adequate. The guesthouse hosts were incredibly warm and friendly. A special thank you to the lady owner for helping me arrange a taxi. Many thanks! My trip was truly enhanced by meeting all of you."

"Firstly, we booked a street side room, but I saw the room with a balcony over the river and it is well-worth the upgrade!! Highly recommend splurging for the river view. The owner/manager was great, spoke English, and was very helpful. He met us where the taxi dropped us and assisted with carrying our luggage. He did the same when we left, which was much appreciated. If you book pretty much any of the hotels along the river, you will need to walk a bit and it might be a bit difficult. One thing to be mindful of is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the vicinity. That’s just part of the experience being along the river. The hotel provides a plug in device for mosquitoes and once you turn on the a/c, the mosquitoes tend to go away. Still, you may want to bring some bug spray. There were a couple other types of bugs around, but overall not too unpleasant. Again, nothing much any of the river-side inns can do about it. We stayed for just one night so even though the room is small, we managed ok. Overall, we highly recommend this inn, but go for the riverside view with balcony. It’s beautiful and you will be able to take very cute photos there."

"We are an English-speaking family of five, and the communication with the front desk staff was easy enough with a translation app. A staff member met us at the top of the road to help with luggage. Beware-- there are lots of steps to take luggage down from the main road, and then lot of steps to take luggage up to your room-- but that is par for the course staying in an old building with a river view. It would have been nice for the front desk to offer us a wechat account for ease of communication, as we didn't have a way to communicate with them once in our room without that due to the language barrier (we forgot to ask and certainly could have). Our room had an amazing view of the river and scenery and is literally right on the path within the ancient city. It is super close to other restaurants or convenience stores, which also means it's really loud at night (but we bring noise machines with us to block out the noise for sleeping). We would stay again!"

"Based on other travelers' reviews, I ultimately decided on this guesthouse. Its location is excellent – just a few seconds after turning left from Nanhua Gate. If you're driving, you can pull right up to the entrance, and the owner will personally guide you to the parking lot. As soon as we stepped out of the car, a staff member was there to help with our luggage. We booked a triple room with a terrace. The elevator goes up to the fourth floor, so we had to walk one flight of stairs to reach our room. However, upon seeing the spacious terrace and unobstructed views, I was absolutely delighted. Having compared the terrace views of other places nearby, this one was truly ideal – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. It was very pleasant to enjoy a beer on the terrace in the evening, cooling off, but a sudden heavy downpour interrupted us. Although there was an awning for shelter, the rain was simply too heavy. In the middle of the night, with the rain beating down on the roof, I initially thought I wouldn't be able to sleep, but surprisingly, it turned into soothing white noise."

"Had a fantastic stay at Jianyun Riverview Hostel. The location is fantastic as it is a minute’s walk from the main road where I got dropped off but it is also by the river and about 20 meters from the tower and about 100 meters from the central bridge. It is right in the middle of the ancient city with attractions in both directions. The room and the bathroom are modern, and well done. The views from the room are perfect and there are comfortable seats with views of the river for relaxing. The front desk staff Xiao Zhang helped with all my queries using WeChat translate and went above and beyond in ensuring a comfortable stay. The only issue was that the noise in the ancient city dies down only after 11pm but that’s not the hotel’s fault. All in all, a fantastic stay that rivals my stay in the Gdansk waterfront and at a fantastic price."

"Happiness is full! Who knows! ! ! ! It is very quiet and comfortable at night. It is super close to the North Gate Pier and the Snow Bridge. The best thing is the service of this homestay. I originally booked the homestay next to the North Gate Pier. I wanted to see the night view, but! It was really noisy at night and couldn’t sleep at all. I found this homestay online at two o’clock in the middle of the night. I called the homestay with the attitude of trying. The owner of the homestay answered the phone (hearing the sound, I was probably asleep), but there was no bad tone, although I was also surprised by my stay at two o’clock in the middle of the night. But I was very warm to receive me, worried that I was not safe at night and specially asked the young lady in the store to pick me up! ! I ~ there are still many good people in the world! And this homestay is also very close to the night view of the North Gate Pier. It takes only three or four minutes to walk. You can go to the hot and lively night view, and you can come back to sleep at night without any noise. (What is the river view room I specially set? 😭), Completely compensated for the damage I suffered from my last stay, like, like, like, like, come back next time, I will definitely choose this one! !"

"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great—slightly away from the main tourist areas, so it’s peaceful and less crowded, yet still very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to find food and essentials. The hotel faces the river, offering a nice view, and you don’t have to drag your luggage over any rocky paths—the car can drive right up to the entrance, which is a big plus. We stayed in the rooftop room on the 4th floor. While there’s no elevator, the staff were very helpful and carried our luggage up during check-in and back down when we checked out. The owner and staff were all friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable."

"The location is excellent, very close to the performance venue, and the riverside views are absolutely stunning. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond: she drove us to the bus station to catch a taxi and even helped us with our luggage in the rain. A huge thank you to her! The scenery was so beautiful that I couldn't resist extending my stay for another day."

"Great location, close to the iconic Snow bridge 雪桥, where the hustle and bustle is. There's alot of bar/karaoke downstairs, but the volume lower down by midnight. Owners were very prompt with replying via WeChat, with any questions or map, helped us with booking the ticket combo of 8 sight seeing spots and boat ride, cheaper than the counter. Took a cab from the railway station (for 25yuan) to the designated parking spot, and the owner came to pick us, helped us with our luggage to go through the ancient town. Overall very good stay and we had a memorable time here in Fenghuang. The picture is our view from the balcony."
