It is located on a hill side where the entry road is a bit too steep for vans to get up and down. If you are travelling with the private van, you may need to get off and to walk up to the hotel. it's not a too long walk but it's a steep one. Also, you will need to walk up to the stairs to your room and your toilet inside the room is not on the same level as your room so be prepared to have quite a lot of stairs walk. The hotel's balcony has a beautiful little Adam's Peak view and it's the best part of staying there. There is air-con for people looking for a hotel in Ella with this.

I really liked the location. If you go there by car, you need to have the skills of a professional driver. The view from the upper rooms is very beautiful. At the moment, until November 30, there is a renovation of the pool located in the hotel. But all hotel residents are accompanied by a pool located below and there is a beautiful view of the mountains. Very good photos of the lounge pool, I highly recommend. In terms of price, most likely average of all those presented in this area, in terms of quality, a very quiet hotel not far away, the nearest street, we went down to the cafe for 6-7 minutes, this should be taken into account if you are not a sports person. Then it will be difficult for you. Tomorrow, the average European American fried eggs sausages salad. Nothing extra. The EKHO hotel is on the edge of Eller town, not far from the main street, making it easy to travel. The characteristics of a good hotel are: clean, quiet, comfortable and modern, rich breakfast, and warm staff. Seems very ordinary ... However, isn't it very unusual to encounter a hotel without regret during the trip. ok, for the fun of travel, recommend it!

Дружелюбные хозяйки, очень добрые и приветливые, никаких проблем не было. Балкон с прекрасным видом на достопримечательности Еллы. Единственный минус это немного грязная постель и с крыши постоянно падала что то черное и по ночам там что то бегало) но это Шри ланка, проблемы с полом и потолком здесь распространены.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. This hotel trades off the views which are undoubtedly quite lovely. My room was clean, and bed very comfortable. Overall, this is all very acceptable and the staff are excessively helpful and attentive which can't be faulted. The location is very good albeit up a steep hill from the main street thronging with restaurants. There are some challenges that would, otherwise, make this a luxury experience... selecting TV channels on the two remotes is clunky; there is no chair in the room other than a beanbag, so lounging on the bed is the only option; there's no luggage stand, so leaving open luggage on the floor is not ideal with occasional creepy crawlies around; the light switch is not within reach of the bed; the hot water for the shower never gets beyond tepid which is ok given the hot weather; shower gel and soap is limited to one small plastic bottle and a tiny hand soap which doesn't compare to modern luxury hotels offering refillable shower and hand gel; drinking water is limited to two small bottles during your stay unless you ask for more (they are very accommodating). So, while this independent hotel is lovely and welcoming, and a cut above most local options in Ella, it's not quite a polished luxury experience if that's what you're expecting. Overall I'd recommend Hotel Onrock as a great Ella option though.

We spent two nights here and we were comfortable even though the room was basic. Breakfast on the balcony was lovely - great food and lovely view. There’s a short, steep climb back home after going down to the main street, so you will give your calves a good stretch, but it’s worth it for the view of Little Adam’s Peak that you get in the morning. Overall a very good choice of accommodation in a small, quiet and friendly guesthouse.

The view from the breakfast balcony was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. We asked for extra pancakes! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. It is a short walk to the city centre - good location because it is quiet.
