Is seemed to be a good value for money. You have general cleanliness, relative closeness to the beach, decent selection of food, nice personnel. Fantastic view from the rooftop bar. The way from the beach back to the hotel is upwards with a staircase involved, so might not suit everyone. The food is tasty, the amount of alcohol allowed (3 glasses of wine or beer at lunch and dinner) is enough. Would recommend this hotel.

It was a good hotel, cheap and in a good location. All inclusive is worth it here.

Stayed here for a cheap 5 night get away end of October and I wasn't expecting anything fancy as it's a 3 star but on arrival and looking over the balcony it looked more like the berut. The room was very basic and was very dusty and outdated but at the end of the day it's only a bed to sleep in for 5 nights so didn't want to make much of a fuss. The all inclusive breakfast was disgusting and ate out 4 of the 5 mornings during our stay ,all inclusive drinks don't exist as your only allowed 3 small alcoholic drinks or soft drinks with all inclusive in the afternoon but only between certain times. And you get a card which they mark when you get a drink at the bar. On exploring the sky bar it was beautiful and spent a couple of nights up there which is probably the best part about the hotel but was very disappointed as they decided to close it a couple of night with no excuse given. Each time looking about the room it became clear that the cleaners didn't do a very good job as I found rubbish, coins and toilet paper under the bed, there was cigarette ash all over the balcony which had never been cleaned on day on and it was still there on day 5 and this is why me and my partner decided to spend as much time out of the room as possible. There was two disgusting plastic chairs and no table but el arenal on a whole isn't very nice and obviously only catered for German and Dutch holiday makers. Didn't feel comfortable atall and sadly won't be back there again.. roll on next year for Palma nova.

Lovely and clean hotel but shouldn't really be advertised as all inclusive as there is the 6 drinks only per person rule each day due to the new rules introduced in the area, you can have 3 alcoholic drinks with lunch and the same with your evening meal and that doesn't include spirits, it's just local wine or beer, anything other than that you have to pay for, we knew this before going but not everyone did, a very small area to socialise after your evening meal so once the 5 tables have gone you have to either go back up to your room or go elsewhere, the view from some of the rooms are awful, we changed rooms 3 times but had a nice room in the end, most of the staff are friendly, the food is as you'd expect, breakfast was lovely, the area itself is more orientated towards the Germans and all the bars are German bars so to watch the English football was an issue, the view from the rooftop bar is stunning however your not allowed to take your drinks up there and the drinks that are served there are around 6 euros each, the beach is beautiful but was hassled a lot by vendors selling there wares, you get what you pay for so was fairly happy

Just got back from 5 days here, firstly start by saying the hotel room itself and the actual hotel is lovely (in some areas) friendly staff. All inclusive wise avoid unless you enjoy living off bread, some ok chips or boiled eggs for breakfast, all inclusive drinks your only allowed wine or beer nothing else with your limited 2 drinks so if you don’t like wine or beer unlimited fizzy drinks is all your having, pool bar you have to pay €1 for the soft drinks for the cups then later they return it. There is a roof top bar but that’s only open from 5:30 and you have to pay up there (guests get 10% discount) The food was bland, we had stomach problems all the time we was here and we stopped bothering with the all inclusive towards the end as we had some desserts that we found had mould on it! Truly made us sick! All in all if you want somewhere just to lay your head great but all inclusive is a firm avoid!

I was really worried after booking because I looked at previous reviews but honestly this hotel was perfectly fine. If you're expecting the Ritz then you will be disappointed, but the price we paid for all inclusive seemed cheap and that's what we expected. If you're the sort of person who wants to stay in the hotel all day then it wouldn't work for you, but if you go out exploring (like we did) you should find it satisfactory. So, drinks - cocktails on the roof were lovely and cheaper than anywhere else, you just need to check timings for when it's open (I didn't see the issue). You don't get loads of alcohol - 3beers/wine each with meals but any other drinks in the day from the pool bar downstairs or inside at night (this seemed fine). The pool bar asks for a euro for the cup and then return it when you bring the cup back, I don't see a problem with this...you get the euro back. Food - I was really worried about this but again, it was fine. It wasn't fine dining but the food was edible. Breakfast I thought was great - mainly continental with meats, cheeses and pastries but also "Full English" style with sausage, bacon, toasts, beans and eggs. There was also cereals and various milks available. I thought there was plenty at breakfast even for vegetarians! Lunch was also adequate - salads, bread, fresh fruit and a few dishes on the buffet. Of all the meals I would say that dinner was the most disappointing. It was salads again which is fine and then a selection of shellfish each night, and then meats, plain pasta which you added sauces to, chips, rice, bread rolls and paella every night. It was basically the same dishes each night and not a large selection for vegetarians ( which is obviously a personal choice) but I think dinner could have been better. The room was clean, beds were super comfy (you get two twins and not a double). It was dated but it's a 3 star hotel so I wasn't expecting more than a nice bed. We were lucky to get a balcony with a nice view. The door handles are a bit dodgy and you have to learn how to turn them to lock the door, but that wasn't an issue. Once locked it's secure. We didn't use the TV so didn't need to rent a remote. We had AC that worked when you fiddled with the thermostat. It turns off if you open the sliding doors, which makes sense! The staff seemed happy to help when asked, smiled if I smiled, I didn't find anyone particularly enjoying their job but also didn't find any staff rude at all! It's a walk down a hill to the beach, which night be an issue for some but we enjoyed walking up and down to the seafront in between meals and excursions. You get your steps in! We didn't use the pool, it is small and usually had people in it but I am not a person who goes abroad to sit by a swimming pool anyway so we weren't bothered. Over all I think the food was fine considering it was included, if we wanted to save money we ate at the hotel and if we wanted a treat we went to a restaurant. There is a pizza pla

The hotel online is a complete catfish- it says it has been refurbished but I can assure you only the lobby and sky bar has been refurbished nothing else. The all inclusive is very Limited, I understand the three drink rule however the options you have are even more limited. Only San Miguel and wine at dinner/ tea. And through the day only fizzy drinks available. Then the food is very repetitive, and could have been the cause to my partner being stuck on the toilet for one of the days. The sky bar is beautiful however you pay full price - for all drinks including coke/ San Miguel etc. even though in the lobby the coke is fee and San Miguel is half the price you pay at the sky bar. This hotel also advertises that there is a DJ on in the evening however the whole time we were there, there was no DJ just music which wasn’t even loud. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a gent who had two black eyes (which wasn’t a great start) we asked about a safe which was €10 deposit and €3 a day. Also asked to pay €22.50 tourist tax (higher than expected). We then went in the lifts up to our floor the lifts are scary and small also very dirty- writing scratched into them. We entered our room, which the door was all chipped away at, and was greeted with two twin beds and a kids park view (although we booked sea/pool view.) There is no tea/ coffee facilities in bedroom, the shower leaks and is mouldy, no tv remote, silver fish bugs in the wardrobe, ***** on the mattress (under sheet) and then to top it off we booked a adults only hotel to get away from children, for a break, yet the children’s park is full of children until at least 2am (we’re not party people so like a sleep before a busy day.) In the dining room there was a cockroach, which put us off our food- even though this was the only day we were eating , and when chilling around the pool there was either a revolting fish smell or sewage smell which was very unpleasant when trying to relax. Having spoken to a few people who were in the same hotel as us they said the same - the hotel being advertised for something it isn’t, and I definitely won’t be booking this or recommending it to anyone.

Great overall experience. Friendly, helpful staff, delicious cuisine. Clean rooms and great location. The restaurant and bar are good, the rooms are cleaned frequently, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can hear your neighbours due to thin walls. Easy check-in and check-out with receptionist Alex, thanks you ;-). At the end of May the sea water was warm enough for swimming. Definitely recommend as for a 3-star hotel!

disappointing holiday .. When arriving, we found out that the ‘all inclusive’ is not actually all inclusive you get given a card with a total of 3 drinks for lunch and 3 drinks for dinner.. which you only had a choice of sour wine or beer, they didn’t have any cocktails or spirits. The food was absolutely shocking. The food selection is awful and most nights we ended up eating out, the food was cold and dry. The rooms were basic, the beds were very squeaky and uncomfortable. In the morning we went down to the pool to find out it doesn’t open until 10am and for a hotel that has 152 room there was a total of 20 sun beds, the pool was tiny and ice cold.. if you love the sun then definitely go down to the beach as when your around the pool you get the sun for a maximum of 2 /3 hours and then your in the shade. There is a ‘pool bar’ but when getting your soft drinks you have to put a deposit on the cups you use.. Never have I stayed anywhere like this before and definitely won’t be returning! Please check the reviews when booking as I didn’t and was massively disappointed.
