"The hotel has a variety of bed type rooms with separate or non-independent washrooms, and rooms with separate washrooms have wash basins. The location is very good, the Auckland University campus and the city, train station, etc. can be reached on foot, the train station is a little far away, about 1.6 km. There is a simple breakfast sharing in the common area, coffee, hot chocolate and bread, instant noodles and more. No extra beds, children can rent a room in a family hotel, free parking. Although the room is a bit old, the whole building is very historical, and the landlord is very kind."
"Ideal location if you want to avoid town and stay near the beach. I enjoyed evening walk from hotel to Saint Kilda beach. It was less than 5 km for return trip."
"The so-called living in a castle is actually a room converted from a stable. The room is very small and the shapes inside the room are also different, so it is easy to hit your head.
But apart from the above objective conditions, I think all the aspects are good. The breakfast is very good. You eat on the first floor of the stable. The coffee is amazing. The water and milk in the small refrigerator upstairs are very good. The waiter is very responsible for introducing each family and taking them to check in.
The so-called castle is a relatively large house, not even as big as some old houses of Fujian people. It cannot be considered as a castle. The garden... well... is not as flowery as the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. The plants are mainly succulents. It is not necessary to expect to see flowers, but it is also a feature.
The most recommended is dinner. You can make an appointment for dinner when staying here. It is a rare highlight of the food in this New Zealand trip. There are only four dishes, which are exquisite and attentive, and taste good. If you don't mind sharing the hall with strangers, you can experience the long table dinner and have a drink and chat with the neighbors who live in the stable that night. The English spoken in one night is almost the sum of the past two years. It is very relaxing and happy."

"It is an old hotel with good sanitation and breakfast. However, there is no elevator. If you live upstairs, it will be a headache. In addition, the sound insulation of the windows is not good. The side facing the street is full of cars at night, which is quite noisy."
"Located around the city centre, with a lot of restaurants and shops just outside the hotel. Free parking for staying guest, guest can also use their washing machine. Room is clean and big, with free wifi access."
"There is a microwave refrigerator, it is very convenient to go to the supermarket to buy things and simply cook some food. The hot water is also very good, it is very comfortable to take a shower after a day of playing. The parking space is a guest, and the extra vehicle charges. I left earlier, they hadn't been to work yet, just stuffing the door card into the box at their door."

"The hotel is in a great location, between the First Church and the train station, and more than 100 meters away from Countdown supermarket, which is convenient for shopping and can also solve the 90-minute parking problem. There is an elevator. The room is large, the kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, and the living room is very comfortable. The only problem is that the door hinge is too tight, which makes it inconvenient to open and close the door."
"Very good hotel, very good location, very close to the city, to eat, stroll, can be done with two feet. There are also many Chinese food restaurants nearby, that is, it is a pity that the store is closed too early."
"Very beautiful! The hotel is the reception grandma's own house. It looks a bit old, but it is very clean and comfortable! The entrance, that is, the street, is full of various flowers, which is very beautiful! The grandma is also very enthusiastic. After checking in, she specially introduced us which local places are worth visiting and where there are delicious foods!"

Amazing
GGuest UserStayed in Dunedin for one night and chose this motel which is relatively centrally located. It has free parking and plenty of parking spaces. The two bedrooms are small but fully functional, with one king-size bed and one twin bed. The living room is relatively large. The kitchen is at the entrance. Although there are kitchen utensils, the place is small and not very convenient. It does not allow for cooking with strong odors, so we made breakfast. The bathroom is very small, comparable to that in Japan, but the room is very clean and tidy. The landlord is very friendly and helps with luggage. There is no elevator in this hotel! You can walk to the Botanical Gardens and the University of Otago, and other attractions are only a few minutes drive away. Parking here is quite convenient, and the beach is about 15 minutes away by car.
DDuerjiaThe hotel is very exquisite and retro, the front desk guy is very enthusiastic, the room is very beautiful, spacious and comfortable, the heating in the room is very powerful. There is a parking lot, parking is still convenient.
MMoodyMerryThe hotel is very convenient as it's located in the central city, Every attraction and food outlet is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk which I don't mind. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet all day and dinner from 6pm to 9pm. The customer service is very professional and friendly! I got a king bedroom that also includes air conditioning which is very cosy. The bed is very comfortable, however am not really a fan with soft pillows.
They have plenty of amenities and facilities in the room, i love the experience and have a nice sunrise view in the morning. Would definitely recommend to family and friends to stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel is clean and tidy, the service is warm and thoughtful, the facilities are simple and elegant, and it is a different kind of surprise.
CChalinee SamutphongThis hotel is very good, clean and comfy. I love their bed. It's so soft and comfortable. It's located in the good location. If you don't mind hearing the noises of cars and sirens.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very convenient, right on the main street, and the owner is very helpful. The environment is good, the service is good, the sanitation is comfortable, very satisfied, will come again, recommend friends to stay in Dunedin.
PPhilippa16This hotel is very handy to central Dunedin. The unit was warm when we used 2 lots of heating sources. It had everything we needed for our stay. Great little kitchenette. Bathroom was OK, no ventilation system to extract moisture, so just had to keep windows open. (A tad chilly)
My only minus was how much street noise and student noise we heard every night. Hard to get to sleep. However this is not a fault of the hotel.
GGuest UserThe lady staff at the front desk was very helpful. She went out of her way to accommodate my family checking in a couple of hours early. She also made available a two queen bed room so that my teenage daughters didn't have to share a bed. The breakfast buffet delicious and worth the buck. Thank you Kingsgate Hotel staff for ur wonderful service.
GGuest UserLeviathan Hotel is a classic hotel with a nice interior of the common areas (wooden stairs, old fashioned furniture etc.) and an old style elevator and keys for the doors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My rooms is in the small side and if your want a super new and spotless hotel this one is a little bit old and worn which is part of its charm.
GGuest UserA very retro and stylish hotel. It is indeed very old, and the facilities are also very old. The traces of time can be seen everywhere, and the bathroom is also very small. But its biggest advantage is that it is in the city center, very close to the most popular and beautiful station, the Octagonal Square, and other places. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, providing breakfast and dinner. In addition, the price is also very cost-effective. It depends on your opinion. It depends on each person's choice.
