A family business that can be preferred with comfort. The prices are very reasonable. That is enough for breakfast price. If you have a vehicle, you can stay in all of the centres like Uruguay terminals. The view was a little more touristic, the air was a little more expensive, and Uruguay was more suitable for us because the big and restaurants were at good normal prices. The view was also beautiful but more foreign tourists are popular unfortunately. He doesn't like the casualty much of the local tourist.

Cave Konak Hotel is a very clean, well maintained hotel, steps away from lovely restaurants and souvenier shops. After a tiring journey with delayed flights at every stage, we arrived in Cappadocia at 3.00 am. It was a pleasant surprise to come out of the airport and find Adnan, the co-owner of the hotel, personally waiting for us. We did not have the cave room and had the suite instead which was quite lovely. The care and attention that Adnan, his co-owner, Colleen, and their staff (especially Hashim) put into the hotel clearly shows through. The personal attention to detail, the homemade jams for breakfast, the recommendations for local restaurants and the suggestions for what activities to do; it was all much appreciated. There's only one reason why I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 and that is Colleen. I'm hoping that Colleen is open to some constructive criticism. She's the classic example of someone who is penny wise and pound foolish. The fact that she asked for payment for a bottle of water we'd used from the minibar left a sour taste at the end of our stay at Cave Konak Hotel. When we could buy a pack of 6 two liter bottles of water at less than $2 at the local convenience store, it seemed petty for Colleen to ask us to pay for a bottle of water! Especially given that in all our travels, we've never come across a hotel where a complimentary bottle of water is not provided in the rooms. All the good vibes Colleen had built with us in the previous 3 days went down the drain at that point. To be brutally honest, if it wasn't for Adnan, I'd have rated Cave Konak 3 stars just because of that one incident. People will forget what you said or did but will never forget how you made them feel! And the feeling Colleen left us with as we were driving off to the airport was not a nice one. The hot-air balloon ride is a definite must. I'd do that again in a heartbeat. We thoroughly enjoyed the Green Tour in Cappadocia. I wouldn't recommend the Red Tour though as it just involved being bussed from one valley to another to see rock formations, with marketing stops in between at a leather showroom and a ceramic/pottery store (maybe it was just our luck with the tour guide we had for the day as he seemed rather uninterested and sounded like he was just regurgitating information that we'd already read online). The sunset ATV Tour was great fun and I would recommend it. However, we had an extremely scary experience when the brakes failed on the quad bike my wife was riding and the only way she could bring it to a stop was by ramming into another quad bike. It was either that or going over the cliff! The equipment was obviously not well maintained and we had the added difficulty of the operator/guide not being conversant in English. Maybe we should have done our own research and booked the tours ourselves rather than rely on Cave Konak Hotel to do it for us. To summarize, Cave Konak is an wonderful hotel. We stayed at Dere Suites during a film production job at Cappadocia. We were a team of ten and all of us loved our experience staying in this special hotel. The cave rooms were all unique, some quite big with multiple rooms and others small and cosy. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, organising food, laundry services, transport and always attentive to our needs. The hotel is located just a short five minute walk into the village which has really good cafes and restaurants, all with wifi. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast and while we didn’t have dinner there we heard it is very popular for tourists. Well worth booking for group or small bookings.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Ceylanj was very helpful. When our rooms were hot, she brought us fans to make us more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, it is a buffet style with many options- from cereal to pastries to traditional Turkish eats. As we are vegetarians with diet restrictions, Ceylanj had the kitchen staff make us veggie omelettes. Overall, our experience was amazing and would highly recommend staying here on your trip to Kapadokya!

The stay by itself was very good . The hotel was good , the people were (then seemed to be) good . However I could have never believed that a tourist hotel like this would cheat us later in a very weird and unfortunate manner . I had left behind one of my expensive noise cancelling apple AirPods Pro. I realised as soon as we boarded the flight to India and we messaged the hotel giving them the exact location where I had left it at (under the left hand side pillow) They found it on the spot and agreed to keep it safe till they had any Indian guests visiting. The plan was to hand it over to an Indian guest who would courier it to us once back . We kept checking with them and they kept responding that they hadn’t had any Indian guests yet . A month later , last week , our friends visited turkey . We coordinated with them and requested the hotel guys to deliver it to our friends . That is when the hotel guys sent us a picture of an AirPod to confirm if that was ours . We had no reasons to doubt since they had confirmed finding it under the pillow in our room ! Most AirPods look the same in a picture . Our friends paid delivery charge of 400 lira and received the AirPod from them . When I finally received it in India , to my horror I found it was a fake AirPod ! It wasn’t my noise cancelling Apple AirPod . Had no serial number and the double vents of the latest version. Now the guys have simply refused to take responsibility for the cheating . They keep saying they had multiple AirPods and hence sent us the picture to recognise ours ! Not once did they mention that they had multiple AirPods or send us pictures of all the AirPods they had and asked us to give specifications ! I am so disappointed.. so disillusioned! How does a hotel catering to tourists cheat so easily and blatantly ?? How can they be so petty ? How can they lie so stupidly saying they had multiple pieces after having acknowledged finding my piece in our room a month ago. Their final response is that they r sorry and such accidents happen . Really ?? None of my friends are ever going there for sure !
