I've never wanted to review a hotel so much. I really think it's good. It's my first time to Datong. In this off-season, a high-end hotel ranked first in Datong is only more than 400 yuan a night, but I still chose the more cost-effective Manxin Hotel. We stayed for four nights. The hotel provided pick-up and drop-off services from the train station and the Yungang Grottoes. Needless to say, the decoration and environment of the hotel are very good. The key service is also very good. The mutton offal for breakfast is very delicious. It was the winter solstice, and the service staff asked us if we wanted to eat dumplings in the morning. When we checked out today, it was Christmas Eve, and they had to give us peace apples. There is usually enough bottled water in the room, and there is warm bottled water in the incubator downstairs. There are drinks in the refrigerator, all of which are free. There are also fruits and yogurt in the room every day. There is also a gym, laundry room and billiards downstairs. When eating, the clothes accidentally dripped with oil, and they were washed and dried on the spot and worn the next day. It was so happy. In short, it is perfect. I recommend people who come to Datong to choose here. 😁😁😁

It was a very satisfying stay. The service is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast buffet is diverse and plentiful. The location is perfect for all the city sights. I'd definitely stay there again.

Thanks to the lovely staff of VIP Building for giving me a perfect trip to Datong, especially Wang Gang from the front office of the hotel. He was patient and thoughtful when I called to book a room, and helped me to confirm with the scenic spot repeatedly. I was so touched👍 Hygiene: The hotel is clean and tidy, and the waiter cleans the room very carefully every day~ Facilities: The hotel has a large parking lot, and it is very convenient downstairs! Who knows, there are so many channels on the TV! Environment: The hotel is not far from anywhere! Service: The service is excellent, and fruits are delivered every day. It is worth staying in the hotel at this price now! 🤩

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.

Very good experience with hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom design is good. Reception staff was very helpful and provided good advice of Datong's tourist attractions. Hotel provided refreshment in the evening which was an excellent way to differentiate itself from the competition. Tried their chicken during early lunch and it was really tasty. Also, the staff kindly allowed me to play their Yamaha piano at the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Datong.

I loved this hotel. It has an old-fashioned charm that made me feel right at home. My room was very large, comfortable, and well-equipped. All of the staff and service people were extremely courteous from start to finish. The Chinese restaurant on the 7th floor has a great choice of dishes! Highly recommended, and excellent value for money. A great base for exploring the sights around Datong.

You have to stay here! Everything is perfect. Hotel is lovely. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. We had a problem and one staff member had excellent English and could solve our problem. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thank you again, I highly recommend your hotel.

We spent two wonderful nights at Yungang Hotel in Datong. First of all, our deepest gratitude to Yang wen yuan - 杨文元. When booking from Europe, we did not realise correctly the time required to get to the caves and to the hanging monastery (a must view when in Datong). We thought that by using public transport we could manage to do both in a short period of time. So wrong! We arrived and Yang wen yuan - 杨文元 reassured us and in less than 30 minutes he was able to help and book for us a private car for the next day. He made our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot from both of us if you are reading ! Plus, this hotel is wonderful : super new, technological and the staff is super kind (from the ones in the lobby to the ones in the restaurant/cafeteria). Breakfast is amazing. You can have everything, freshly made for you.

Super! They have bathtubs (a rarity in China) and a swimming pool! I booked this place after leaving another hotel and had no idea it's has 5 stars. It's very fancy. The beds are incredibly soft and comfortable. The staff is generally kind and helpful, except for the restaurant staff, who seemed not very cultured. The hotel hosts a lot of businessmen and wedding parties, so you have a few guys smoking at in the hall at night, but it's not a big problem. The rooms are quite big so the noise doesn't carry very far.
