Datong Jingyuan Guest House(Datong Ancient City Store)

Affordable price, relatively new four-star hotel. The view outside the room window is okay. The bath center on the first floor is said to be free for hotel guests, so I didn't go there. The breakfast is rich, with freshly made noodles, haggis, and fresh fruit. There is no USB charging port in the room.

The hotel doesn't have any service. The front desk didn't know anything. The tap water was yellow. I wanted to buy bottled water but the hotel didn't have any, so I went to the nearby supermarket to buy it at 11pm. There were crickets chirping in the room at night, and I barely slept for two hours that night.

The room was full on the day we checked in. We asked for two pillows but they didn't have any. The bathroom was flooded when we took a shower. The kids wanted to watch TV but it didn't work. We called the front desk and they said it was broken. We took the kids to have breakfast but the eldest was a little over the height limit so we had to pay for it. This was the first time I had to pay for breakfast with my kids after staying in so many hotels in the past year. Except for the convenience of parking, there was nothing that made me happy.

Datong Jingyuan Guest House is neat and clean, with a spacious and bright lobby, and is cost-effective. Pets can also be brought. It is not far from the ancient city of Datong and is a good place to stay when traveling to Datong.

I am a native of Datong. My friend stayed here. The facilities of the newly opened hotel are so bad that it is not worth the price. There is nothing around. Walking up is the village. It is located in the suburbs of Datong. The air conditioning is not turned on, so the cleaning staff has to do it several times. I called from 16:00 to 18:00 and no one came to clean the room. The room was like a small hotel. The wooden board at the head of the bed was not fixed properly and it rang when I turned over. The team that answered the call was very noisy at night. There was no soundproofing at all. I didn’t take a shower at night. Hot water, it really embarrasses Datong. Datong people speak like knives.
