Excellent experience. Hotel has such rich history based on Wang Zhaojun, a famous ancient Chinese heroine beauty and the story of her playing pipa. The history even published a book on her history. It is in central area within the Datong ancient history. Boss lady served on Sunday and eagerly shared local delicacy at breakfast.

Fabulous hotel for all types of travelers with a fantastic location. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the English-speaking staff extremely helpful in organising excursions and providing guidance on what to see.

We had a wonderful return visit to this hotel. Amazing location and wonderful staff. Love the traditional decor. Fantastic hotel. Would stay again.

The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the ancient city. There were some international options at breakfast, which was very appreciated. The staff is helpful when you ask for information. For what I have personally experienced, the hotel was super quiet too. The room i was given (308) was clean and the bed was comfy, but I must admit it was very cramped for two people. It would serve better as a single room. Also, I think the bathroom in room 308 could use a good restyling, especially the shower. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

Great location, very clean, super friendly staff. Very filling breakfast and the rooms were really well taken care of! Especially appreciated the heated bidet :P Thanks for a great stay!
