Tmall Elf Hotel (Yongtai Baisheng Branch in Datong Ancient City)

This hotel is super cute! I really love the design and decorations. Even the hotel staff is wearing cute Totoro themed clothes! The staff is really kind, and communication with the help of a translator worked well. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, with everything one would need. The location is good too, we always walked to the Ancient City Center and the City Wall.

This is a themed hotel featuring the titular character Totoro from My Neighbor, Totoro so the design of the hotel was quite interesting. The room was surprisingly big. I liked that the wet and dry areas for the bathroom were separated. They have free coffee/tea in the lobby. If your room is in the 4th floor, there are some steps leading up to the room so it is a bit inconvenient if you have heavy luggage but the overall experience was really good. The service is also quite good as they responded quickly to my questions!

Not too far from Datong city center. Good amenities especially at the reception. Clean facilities.

Really nice hotel, close enough from the ancien city to go there on foot. Friendly staff and big rooms, the bathtub after a long day walking is a major good point 👌

It's not our best experience here. The room was really hot, and the heating was still on. There was no AC, and they couldn't turn off the heating. Also, the smell out of the bathroom was terrible. Be aware that there isn't a bubble bath, only a bathtub. The location was good.
