The guest house was in a convenient location in the old town and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with lock foods. The service was amazing. We were picked up from the trains station and given a lot of advice and help in visiting locations outside of Datong.

Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

What an amazingly unexpected service we received from Carter and the hotel management at Longxuanju! We were picked up at the train station with a big welcoming smile by Carter and Ms Zhang, hotel manager. Afterwards, Carter drove us to have lunch and tour the ancient town. When we got back to the inn at night, we were served tea and some sweets in the courtyard area. The next day Carter gave us a ride to/from Yungang Grottoes. Then we were taken to the train station early in the morning with breakfast thoughtfully packed to go.
Longxuanju is only 15min walk from the ancient town and located steps from one of the gate to city wall which is really nice to stroll at night. The room was stocked with fruits, snacks and water. And you can enjoy watching TV on the large movie screen in the room!
We had an unforgettable experience in Datong thanks to Carter and hotel management!

I love this place so much. I feel like l’m staying with my cousin. The location is great, you can walk sightseeing the ancient city anytime. The breakfast is great, you can choose what you want. When i show the picture of this place, most of my friends want to visit this place too.

I brought my kids to Datong before school started. I compared several accommodations and finally chose Longxuanju. It was so wise. The price-performance ratio exceeded my expectations. 👍Following the location sent by the boss on WeChat, it was easy to find the location of the homestay. The car was parked directly in the basement. The boss came out to greet us warmly and walked directly to the second floor below the homestay (front desk and restaurant). There is a direct elevator to the room on the second floor, so you don’t have to worry about heavy luggage. Free snacks, fruits and drinks are prepared in the room. The boss will also bring tea sets to make tea, which is very considerate. 👍I stayed for two nights. The service and hardware are not inferior to hotels. It feels more like home than hotels.
