JI Hotel (Datong South Railway Station) Reviews

We stayed one night on our visit to the grottos in Datong. This hotel is friendly, clean and modern. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel (around one mile). Would definitely recommend.

My wife's favourite hotel. Exceeded expectations in many areas. I feel like going back now. The room is new, big and really comfortable. Lots of little things made us feel so good: e.g. free snacks and dessert, books for browsing, free laundry, dining table, huge TV, big window. Now the down sides: There are not many eateries within walking distance. But I guess you can order delivery. They deliver to your hotel room here. It is so new that many cab drivers do not know the place.

This all season hotel is close to Datong South Railway Station, which makes travel very convenient. It costs about 10-30 yuan to take a taxi to the city or attractions. The rooms are very new, and the hygiene and facilities are very good. Free Coke and Sprite are delivered every day. The buffet breakfast is rich and delicious. There is also a 🆓 coffee machine in the lobby. The service attitude is also very warm and meticulous. I stayed here safely and comfortably. I will choose here again next time.

The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was separated into wet and dry areas. The shower water was hot and strong. I checked in at 10:30 on the first day. When I came back at 9:00 in the evening, the front desk manager enthusiastically served me two bowls of Tremella porridge and recommended local delicacies and addresses. When I checked out the next morning, the young man took the initiative to deliver hot bottled water. The only regret was that the power supply in the room might be low-power. The power bank was only half charged overnight, and there was no uninterruptible power supply in the room. When I had breakfast, I just put the power bank at the front desk to continue charging.
