Jetwing Vil Uyana is in a fantastic location. Just a short drive from several national parks where you can see elephants, monkeys, and wild cats it is also beautifully secluded. If you want to see wildlife at the hotel, there is even a resident croc, loris and plenty of large lizards. The hotel itself is filled with friendly and helpful staff who are more than happy to help with anything you may need and the food is truly top tier. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

My sister and I went on several guided tours with Yesitha and we truly had the best experiences! We enjoyed the Loris Night Trail, hiked up Sigiriya Rock to watch an unforgettable sunset, visited the stunning Dambulla Caves and went on a private jeep safari tour in Minneriya Park. The jeep safari was absolutely unforgettable—we were fortunate enough to see about 150 elephants, which was beyond magical! What made these experiences truly exceptional was the time and care Yesitha took with us. His knowledge of Sri Lankan wildlife and culture is unparalleled, and he was ever so polite, well-spoken and passionate about his work. It was clear how much he loves what he does and that energy made every moment feel even more special. If you're visiting Sri Lanka, we highly recommend booking these tours with Jetwing / Yesitha. You won't be disappointed!

Lovely location with stunning lake complete with resident crocodile and herons. Close to nature location with a wonderful loris walk option. Very good restaurant with attentive staff. The rooms are very large and well equipped but tired now and needing some maintenance. The Aircon in particular was a big issue for us, it was partially broken, forcing extreme cold air down onto the sleeping position which over three nights made us both ill.

Vil Uyana was a very nice hotel offering a different experience. The hotel is situated in the dry zone of Sri Lanka, but constructed with water and nature all around. We stayed in one of the Forest Dwelling with a Pool, which was great. Almost the whole ground floor was a very large bathroom with a shower, tub and two sinks etc. This opens up to your private pool, which has a lot of privacy. The top floor is a bedroom with an attached toilet, with very nice views of the surroundings. Our view included the restaurant and the lake and the evening and morning views were superb. The hotel has many electric carts which you can call anytime to get to anywhere. Each room has a personal butler as well. The hotel pool is very nice too, and has nice and warm water around noon for a refreshing swim. The bar menu and restaurant menu, food and drinks are all good. However, during the busy dinner time, its best to come a bit early to the restaurant since there could be a bit of a delay with the meals. We also went on a night safari, but unfortunately missed the fishing cats, although we saw some other animals such as elephants, owls and birds.

Beautiful central reception. Serene looking out on the surrounding water ecosystems from the library and from the infinity pool. Lovely open air upstairs restaurant. Rooms spacious and look impressive but could do with some updating as had an issue with air conditioning.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We had such an incredible experience at the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were blown away by the surroundings and the lake and cannot believe all the wildlife we got to see. The room was incredible with incredible views and so spacious! The hotel is close by to local attractions but feels so peaceful! Dissa made us both feel special and provided such a fantastic service. He was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed and more. We cannot thank him enough for making our experience so fantastic.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Vil Uyana to celebrate her birthday. Vil Uyana is one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka and this was our 5th visit here since 2016. The unique setting, food and service are all exceptional. Special thanks to Charith the new F&B manager who interacted with us throughout our stay and made sure our stay was a really memorable one. It was also nice to see many old staff, including our butler Gamini who had been assigned to us on our last visit in 2022.
