Hotel Agustos Cusco

Location was not ideal, but if you like to walk a mile or two ( at 11,000’ agl) it’s okay. The staff is very friendly, however the hotel itself self is very run down. There are no seals on the doors so the hard wood floored hallways are very noisy inside the rooms. My room had a window to a wall and a neighboring room. I also had a small sliding window in the shower/bath, but it was only to access the sewer lines and other plumbing to the story above mine. The bedding was very thick, stiff, and rough on the newly acquired sun burn I received in the Sacred Valley. The mattress was very hard and squeaky. As I rolled around looking for comfort, I realized the bed frame was on wheels/rollers and I woke up with the bed several feet from where it started. All was okay for the most part, but if you are exploring everything this amazing city has to offer you will be tired and want to sleep comfortably so you can keep going, but I must admit, I woke very tired the 2 nights I stayed because of the conditions of the hotel. Again, the staff were very nice. I also used their laundry service. Not sure if they have staff to do it or if they farmed it out. Either way, it was done well.

This hotel was booked for us through EXOTICCA and was a disappointment. Itis located away from the city center we were advised to take a taxi if we wanted to go to the town center. The water isn't drinkable, we had to fix the toilet and our fridge doesn't work. Oh the noise.....until 12-1 am and it started again 4 am. The building is dingy and sad. Our room was ok but not inviting. There is no real place to relax in this hotel. The bar had no charm and felt thrown together and had an over whelming smelll of the food being cooked in the kitchen. We ordered Mojitos and they were mixed with sprite. The staff how ever were wonderful. If you are looking for a relaxing stay this is not the place!

Having seen some dreadful reviews I wondered what to expect, in fact it's a perfectly nice place to stay and the staff are keen and helpful. The rooms are a good size, WiFi works well, no shortage of hot water. It's a good well equipped and maintained hotel with comfortable beds

Staff were amazing, breakfast was nice. We returned for a second visit.

This was a great splitting the difference between paying 80 or 100 a night or all of the really horrible 20 and $30 a night experience as I had. Clean room. Clean shower. Warm water. Decent breakfast walkable to the mall. Cheap cab ride to anywhere else you want to go.
