El Balcon

Hidden gem. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming and you can tell they really care about this place. Extremely romantic solo or alongside someone else. The food is amazing and the rooms are gorgeous. Great views as well. Worth every penny and more, definitely check this place out if you are visiting Cusco!

We had a great time during our stay in El Balcon. The rooms are super clean, the garden is well maintained with a cute focus on little details. Our highlight was Juanita, the kitchen chef. She served us every morning delicious pancakes and eggs. We always had a smile on our faces after having breakfast :)

What a gem in Cusco! We loved this place as it was affordable, comfortable and close to everything we needed. The staff were so nice and the brownies made in house were delish. Large portions for breakfast, wifi worked in our room and showers were hot.

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at El Balcon and it exceeded our expectations! It’s a cozy place near the city center with kind staff, great breakfast and authentic vibes. If you see a jar of brownies in the reception, definitely try one! You will not regret it!

We spent here our last night in Cusco—were warmly received and loved the authenticity and vibes of the place! Some nice touches were the bathrobes, fruit and water. The beds were comfortable and warm, loved the layers with typical wool blankets in between. Would go back for sure!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The building and the view are beautiful and the restaurant was very good too. I would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel jn Cusco.

We stayed at El Balcon for five days before our Inca Trail Trek and then one night on the return. It is a lovely, cozy hotel with a beautiful garden and very close to the center of the city. The breakfast provide lots of choices and the chef was very accommodating with out food allergies. The dining area was great and varies hot drinks were available all day. I left laundry to be done while I was on the Inca trail and it was ready when I returned (and very inexpensive). The staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will return to El Balcon on our next visit to Cusco.

A nice stay in Cusco. Hotel is nice, if not a bit basic. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and staff on reception are really friendly and helpful. A couple of things which could be improved is the breakfast is very unorganised, no water to help yourself to meaning you repeatedly have to ask for a refill and eggs were undercooked both times we asked for them which meant we had to leave them. However, that wouldn’t put me off returning and it is very reasonably priced.

If you like quiet and clean, this is the place for you. My mom and I just spent four nights here and it was a great experience. When we arrived the check in was seamless, and we were also able to check in early because our room just happened to be ready. The staff is SO nice. Anything we needed, they were there for. The room was cleaned daily, restocked with water and they even offer a laundry service for a fee. We took advantage of that, totally worth having clean clothes for the remained of our trip for such a small price. Also, the front desk staff was always helpful as well as the wonderful people at the area we had breakfast. As breakfast is included, take advantage and definitely get the scrambled eggs. Another thing that was really nice is the availability of coco leaf tea at all times of day and night. I had a terrible time with altitude sickness while in Cusco and it was really nice to be able to have a cup of that tea. If you choose to stay here, you will not be disappointed. Oh, and I forgot to mention - the grounds are BEAUTIFUL.
