The room was everything you need for a hotel. The staff were super friendly and always wanted to make your stay great. Although the hotel is not close to the main tourist plaza, it is close to a great shopping ***** and the neighbourhood is nice. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cusco for 4 nights total - 3 before our Inca Trail trek with Alpaca Expeditions and 1 night after the trek. We arranged with HGI to store our large luggage while we were gone for the 5 day/4 night trek. Very simple process to do this and all our belongings were kept safe and sound and returned to us in good order. Overall the HGI was a good place to stay. It is is about a 15 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, uphill all the way. We didn't mind so much since that helped get us ready for our trek. It's in a quiet area. The Plaza is quite busy and noisy, and was especially the night a political rally was being held. I was glad our hotel was not right on the plaza that night. Rooms were a nice size. Our first room was a king-size bed with a view of Cusco. The second room had a view of the courtyard. Both had hot showers, room safe, blow-dryer, and toiletries. One thing to note is that the hotel floors are reversed from the norm. You enter the lobby at street level and then go DOWN to floors 1,2,3, and 4. Ask for a room on Floor 2 or below. Floor 1 is right underneath the lobby and we were kept awake by the sounds of walking, chairs scraping, etc. until quite late at night after we returned for one night after the trek. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered quite a variety of choices. The main reason we give this HGI only 4 stars is for the laundry issue. After a week in Peru, we needed to do laundry when we arrived at HGI. Yes, there are laundry facilities in the hotel. However, you can't just put in a few soles, add your own soap, and wash a load. Noooo, they have it fixed so that you MUST purchase a packet of tokens, detergent, and softener from them for a whopping 52 soles!! That's outrageous and taking advantage of a ”captive audience.” Well, not these guests. We simply bagged up our laundry and dropped it off at one of the dozens of laundry shops on the street right around the corner. It cost us 36 soles AND we supported a local, family-run business. Win-win. And boo on HGI for boasting about laundry facilities they actually charge an arm and a leg to use.

We stayed at Hotel Taypikala for our weeklong stay in Cusco. The hotel was nice, the staff was very accommodating, they even prepared sack breakfasts for us to take when we had 4am pickups for our hiking trips! They have oxygen available in the lobby if needed and staff at the desk 24/7. All the staff speaks English which is so helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of the main plaza which is great. The breakfast in the mornings is delicious with a lot of selection and the dinner at the restaurant at night is great and convenient after long days of hiking! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Cusco.

All the staff at Eco Bunnu are really welcoming and friendly. The hotel is affordable, has everything you would need and is clean and quiet. The cafe which the hotel has is great, so much so that we had snacks and meals there other than just the breakfast that is included with the room. The empanadas in particular were a great affordable option for a quick and tasty snack. The hotel is in a quiet area, but is still close to the centre of town - only about 15 minutes walk to plaza de armes. If you want a central location with great access to the city of Cusco, Hotel Plaza de Aramas will fill that request. Located on the southwest corner of the Plaza de Armas, this hotel puts you directly in the active center of Cusco. The staff are more than polite and helpful. When we had early expedition departures, they provided a sack lunch and even stood by to ensure all was safe when we waited for our rides at 0300 in the morning. The rooms were quaint and clean. Our room was off the street and it was wonderful as we did not have to contend with any possible traffic or noise from the Plaza activities. There is a fabulous little restaurant on the second level, that is always full with either hotel patrons or guests from the community. They were more than gracious in allowing us to store our luggage for 4 days while we hiked the Inca Trail. The price is also right with breakfast included with most rooms. I highly recommend this hotel due to location and the great service they provide.

This is a beautiful building in a great location. The doormen and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with most amenities. I was however quite shocked to find paper cups in the room to drink tea from. I’ve never come across that before! I had to put one inside another so’s it didn’t bend when I picked it up. The bed was large and comfortable although it was quite noisy from very early in the morning as breakfast starts at 4.30. Breakfast was adequate although we found it hard to get orange juice. Papaya was the juice on offer . The bar and restaurant were very good. A great hotel in a great location to explore Cusco.

It was a great experience staying here, the host is very helpful and friendly, and the room was exactly as described in their website. The place is charming and located at walking distance from the city center. / Fue una excelente experiencia alojarme en este lugar, el anfitrión es muy amable y esta siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La habitación era exactamente como se describe en su sitio web, el lugar en sí es agradable y esta muy cerca del centro de la ciudad.

Pésimo servicio, en las habitaciones no reponen las toallas necesarias y cuando las solitas te hacen bajar desde tu habitación hasta recepción porque dicen que no cuentan con personal. Aparte! Se cortó el agua y no fueron capaces de ofrecer aunque sea embotellada , siendo que les expliqué que me quede con el shampoo en la cabeza, me dijeron que esperara e la ducha una hora para ver si lo podían solucionar, cosa que recién 4 horas después la dieron… y lo peor que cuando les dije del agua su primer comentario de la recepcionista fue que ella no podía hacer nada porque no sabía
