Crieff Hydro

We enjoyed our stayed as a family but the service and food in the buffet style restaurant at night was very poor as food was cold and we were finished eating before we received our drinks. We eventually managed to speak to a manager about it. However, we have stayed before and ate in other restaurants and they were good. Upgrades to winter garden bar were nice but again service for drinks very slow. Overall a 6.5/10 stay.

Very relaxing and good ambiance. Friendly, helpful staff have added to our stay. Thank you. We will be back.

Slightly disappointed We have stayed at Crieff Hydro several times over the years. We came back on this occasion to see the new renovations. Very disappointed with our room. Despite being told at check in the hotel was quiet we were allocated a ground floor room, overlooked by a car park and exit to the hotel. Not very private. That evening there was function directly below our room and the disco was unfortunately quire loud. On top if this our room had an interconnecting door, although locked we had to listen to the noise of next doors TV all night. Given the noise disturbance not a relaxing stay. We considered asking to move but after being all unpacked we didn't want the inconvenience at that time of night. The new renovated bar area is beautiful. But sadly let down by really slow service. On both occasions we visited we had to wait a long time to order a drink, and a long time to arrive. Other tables experienced this also. Our table was dirty and didn't get cleaned. Personally we miss the informal nature of what used to be the Winter Garden cafe. You now have to wait to be seated, then wait to order. The quality of breakfast was excellent, attentive, friendly staff. Just slightly crowded at times around the food area. We weren't asked whether we enjoyed our stay on check-out. We didn't feed back on our stay as there was a queue behind us.

A wonderful overnight stay while in the area for work. Lovely welcome, fantastic meal and a relaxing evening walk around the grounds. All the staff that i met were very friendly and helpful.

A very expensive hotel for what you get. My room was tiny. Also hotel always bothering you for reviews the day after your stay. Parking not good. Really busy with families. Check in takes for ever.

We are very satisfied with our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is very well maintained and clean inside and out. If you like high standard and very good food, I recommend visiting.
