When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk apart from a guy who ignored me as I walked in. I arrived at the front desk and was stood there with a gentlemen just point blank ignoring my presence. After prompt it turns out he was an IT assistant. I eventually get signed in and got given my room key to a room accross the other side of the building complex having to walk outside and around to a separate unattached building. Got into my room and it was dark dingey, dated and basic but clean. Unfortunately there some noise above me, my mobile signal was non existent with zero bars showing on the signal screen. I had a very important day following, so needed as much quiet as possible, therefore I went back to reception to request a room above the ground floor. I was given my new key, & an employee the same lady who checked me in, followed me to my room, took my key off me and was made to feel untrustworthy. Went to my new room and tried connecting to wifi, so that I could prepare for my day ahead and do some necessary work online. I could not locate a room telephone to contact reception, and there was no contact information anywhere on my booking or checking in card other than a main switchboard number. Which is already giving me health and safety concerns. I popped down to reception where I was advised that the internet is down and is not going to be working that evening unfortunately and that there’s nothing they can do. I wasn’t offered any remedy or sympathy for this issue other than to be made to feel I need to just get over it. It was 4 minutes until the Bar and restaurant was open and I asked if I could go sit inside it, considering my room is accross the way in a separate building. That being said I was denied entry and had to go back to my room and wait as the reception area wasn’t very spacious by any means and had no seating area. I return for food and ate which I was satisfied with however i was shocked to find out that the same 2x hotel workers that assisted me with check in and room change plus 1x more male were the same 3x running the Bar, Restaurant, check in and Guest queries. Evidently the business is understaffed and workers forced to do multiple jobs dealing with Food, arrivals, and guest queries within a fast paced environment. This makes me worry about the H&S factors when NOT wearing protective clothing when in and out of the kitchen / Bar / Reception. This caused severe delay in all aspects of the running of the hotel with me witnessing guessed waiting to check in whilst hotel workers are busy running food, clearing in and taking drinks orders. After I eaten I went back up to my room and was readying myself for the next day. I noticed my room had no iron or ironing board. And again there was no telephone in the room and no contact number. So I had to again walk down to reception 2x flights of stairs and then out from my building to enter the car park to walk around to the main entrance back into re
