The hotel is in a great location, beach with its fine sand a very long ocean frontage is the place to chill out. All the room have a balcony, safe and quiet environment. Property is very clean and well managed, with wonderful views but the Staff is made my stay truly special. They were attentive, friendly and a joy to be around. I will go back again next year. Cons: The chef cooks absolutely delicious food that I could not resist eating and I put on weight

The room was very clean and tidy if a bit dated, two large beds with a sea view (room 720).The food was good,we were above the bar but was very quiet, lovely beach, very relaxing holiday. The staff were good,it does tend to cater for the germans more than other nationalities. The wifi is not fantastic however if you sit in the lounge area it is better. The day activities were held by a german girl who spoke english, however she only asked the german speaking people if they wanted to take part. I would go back there as it was very relaxing.

If you want a relaxing break in a beautiful setting on the beach then a stay at the SBH Crystal Beach Hotel we would highly recommend. This is our third visit and the following is applicable to all three visits. This hotel is very clean every room has a balcony and your room is serviced every day excellently. We stayed in a sea view suite which was large bedroom bathroom and sitting room. These rooms have a very large balcony furnished with table and chairs, sun loungers with small table and the ground is covered in artificial grass. From your balcony the view is fantastic, you are overlooking the lovely pool area and also the full length of the beautiful beach. The hotel is small in comparison to neighbouring hotels the entertainment is limited as is the facilities perhaps, but as previously stated if you want to chill out this hotel we think is unbeatable. We were half board, breakfast was very good, as was dinner with a good selection of dishes and the food very well cooked and presented. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very attentive, always pleasant and made your dining experience very enjoyable. We would again like to say a big thank you to the reception staff who are excellent. Of course during our three stays a few small problems arose but with no hesitation and absolutely no bother the staff sorted them quickly so as not to cause any impact on our enjoyment of our holiday. If your looking for a lively busy, resort with many restaurants, bars, shops and places of entertainment we couldn’t recommend the Costa Calma area which has none of the these. If you only want a beautiful beach, lovely weather, an excellent hotel and a stay of total relaxation then give the SBH Crystal Beach Hotel a try.

Check in was fast and efficient. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and explained everything I needed for my stay. I had booked half board for 5 nights as a solo traveler. Room. My room was a large twin room for sole occupancy. I had the choice of two small queen size beds. The bed was comfortable but the pillows could've been better to suit my preference. A seating area, large bathroom with bath shower bidet toilet and plenty of towels. Shower gel and soap provided and a hairdryer was available. The balcony was huge and had astro turf flooring plus a table and chairs and the most amazing view over the sea. Facing east I was able to watch the sunrise in the mornings. Stunning. The balcony was also very private. No one overlooking me as I was on the side on the top floor. I was unable to hear any noise from the bar area here too. There is a kettle for use. And a fridge. Tea coffee water are provided but these are not complimentary, so I bought a small jar of coffee in the shop across the street. There is also a safe in the room which you pay €4.5 per day. Pooloutside Very quiet and clean. Plenty of loungers and close to the bar. It's on the 6th floor with great views over the bay. You can walk down to the beach it overlooks. Down the steps lift to the ground floor you will find more loungers on a sandy terrace which leads you directly to the beach. There are pool side activities such as aqua exercise and yoga etc should you choose to join in. Bar. Friendly staff. Everything was signed for using my room number and I paid the bill at the end of my stay. This was hotel policy. There is an entertainment program with different actsevents each night. Restaurant. On my first night when I arrived for dinner I was told I would be seated with other solo travelers. This might suit some but not me so I politely declined and requested a table for one which they granted without any questions. The staff where friendly and helpful. The buffet had plenty of choice to suit all tastes. I ordered a bottle of red wine with my meal and as I didn't drink it all, was able to have it put aside for the next night. Drinks are payable extra at meal times on half board booking. You are allocated a table for your stay and a meal time from a choice of two seatings. I was given the early time 1730_1900. The second seating is 1930_2100. You can change if you don't like the allocation, the staff are very accommodating. Summer dining times are a little later. Breakfast seating is unallocated and again plenty of choice. This includes soy on dairy milks and yogurts and a vast array of breads and fruit in addition to the usual omelet bar, hot food selection and continental options. I don't eat meat or eggs so I can't attest to the quality of these options but the choices I had were good at breakfast. I will be honest and say the dinner choices although various were hit and miss, but I think that's standard for buffet style dining. I have no compl

Excellent hotel, adults only, room clean, spacious and staff very friendly.Restaurant have allocated time and table for dinner but if the time doesn’t work for you they are more happy to accommodate you. Food is excellent and the waitress they always smile and say hello. Special mention to the Lady chef, always attentive to all details. At the entrance of the restaurant you will find a Lady who I believe is the Manager of the Hotel and Diego ( hope the name is right) he is in charge of service. Both of them are amazing, they will do everything to make you feel welcome. The staff at the bar are great as well, the lady who looks for you safety at the swimming pool really friendly and she always make sure the pool area is clean at all times. Definitely we are coming back at the end of December and I have to try to get the same room (731) very convenient for everything.

Lovely adults only hotel. Pros and cons below, don’t let the cons put you off, just so you know what to expect. PROs Spotlessly clean, bright hotel. Rooms very good size with large balcony (830), 2 double beds. Food was good, some items could have been a bit hotter, but a large variety buffet style with good choices both for breakfast and dinner. Staff were magnificent, very friendly and helpful. We didn’t visit the beach, hotel split over levels. Road/reception is actually level 6 with 2 floors above, then other rooms on lower floors reached via steps/lift down to beach level. Lovely views over sea from swimming pool area. Fake grass made walking around pool area comfortable. No issue getting sun beds, but hotel was nowhere near full and we were slightly too early in the season to dine in bookable restaurant which was a shame, it was only open for lunch and we were on half board (breakfast & dinner). CONs Breakfast you could sit anywhere, but evening meal you were allocated a sitting (6 or 8 pm) on the same table. Found this a bit restricted as 6 bit early and 8 a bit late. Also we sat at the same table every night (as instructed) but was disappointed as it was never set for 3 of us, even though they knew there were 3 in our party. Relatives booked for 2 nights on all inclusive basis, but turns out they ended up with quite a bill as all inclusive only covered drinks taken with meals and NOT those from the bar. Bar staff said this was an issue they had to try and explain to many guests. Supermarkets very close to hotel for water, drinks etc, but prices were very expensive. There was water, tea bags and coffee sachets in room, but a charge of 1 euro for a tea bag or coffee & 2 euros for water. This was very disappointing. Overall very nice, quiet hotel. Evening entertainment was limited but you could always visit the sister hotel next door. After full day in the sun we were happy to climb into comfortable beds early!

I spend a week here with a friend of mine, 09.03. -17.03.24. First I have to say: The room was beautiful, wonderful view, was cleaned every day by the friendly maids. BUT: something with the food (breakfast) seems to be very wrong here. My friend and me both got food poisoning on separate days (we ate different things, so not sure what it was exactly, but in my case I barely had anything else but the hotels breakfast when I got sick).

Solo travellers beware - on the first night you will be made to sit at the "singles table" - great if you're the sort of solo traveller who wants to meet new people, but a lot of solo people like holidaying by themselves and do not wish to have the singles table forced upon them. I immediately asked to sit by myself and was told I would have to sit with the singles for the first night but I might be able to have my own table the following evening. I wasted a lot of the next day worrying about whether or not I would be allowed my own table, luckily when I got to the dining room and asked for my own table, this time they said yes. I do understand that the singles table is a positive thing for some people - but maybe you could forewarn us about it when we check-in and give us the option of whether we want to sit with other people. I am a huge water baby, constantly in and out of the water, so for me the swimming pool was too small - it somehow looks bigger in the photos, but I couldn't do proper laps the way I usually would on holiday. If you're not that bothered about being in the water, then this is a lovely sunbathing terrace with plenty of sunloungers, astroturf, a friendly atmosphere and the most stunning view of the beach, but if you want to spend hours in the pool then perhaps look at booking one of the other SBH hotels nearby as they have much bigger pools. There are eight floors of this hotel - floor 6 is level with the main entrance. Because of the layout of the hotel there isn't one lift that goes from eight to zero, you can go from 8 to 5, but then you have to walk to another lift to get from 5 to 1. The beach is on 0, but the lift only goes to 1 so you have stairs for the final descent to the beach. I was happy to have a workout every day getting from my room on the 8th floor down to the beach, but people with mobility issues may want to consider this. I am not writing any of this to put people off, just to give you my thoughts on the hotel. I did have a wonderful time here. It is a lovely hotel full of friendly, hard-working staff. Special mentions to Alexandra on reception, Javier the evening chef, the smiley breakfast lady chef and Ana from the cleaning team. Lovely spacious comfortable room with a fridge and balcony. I was there in the run up to Christmas and it was a lovely touch to come back to the room and find a festive surprise left by the cleaner each day. The communal areas are beautifully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in, the bar staff and lifeguard are super friendly and get to know you over the course of the holiday. Food is delicious, plenty of choice at both breakfast and evening meals. There's entertainment of sorts every evening - sometimes a professional performer (loved Piko), sometimes karaoke. But if you don't fancy what's on offer here, you can go and have a look at the other SBH hotels in the vicinity and watch their evening entertainment - Hotel SBH Costa Calma Palace has a big stage so often ge

I stayed here for 1 week in June 2023 and had a pleasant stay. The food was excellent (huge and good quality selection for both breakfast and dinner) and the staff friendly and accommodating. I had a large room on the upper floors at the front of the hotel (room 723) with a large balcony (covered with artificial grass) and a unique view of the beach, sea and also the hotel pool. A small drawback of the rooms in this area, however, is the fact that one is involuntarily at the mercy of the daily evening entertainment program in the pool bar. It is impossible to sleep before midnight (normally the entertainment runs from 21:00 to about 22:30/23:00 but it is usually still relatively loud until about 24:00 by guests/music in the pool bar and by the staff when the pool bar is closed). After midnight, however, the hotel was very quiet. I have rarely experienced a hotel where you hear so little from the other rooms, or even from the staff in the morning (in other hotels you are often woken up at 6am by the activities of the staff, here you can sleep until 8am without any problems). Also, in my room the air conditioning didn't seem to work properly. Not that I needed it (it wasn't yet so hot that you couldn't stand it without it), but I had only tested it once. The air conditioner was running, but I couldn't tell that it had much effect on the temperature in the room, even though I had set the thermostat to the lowest setting. However, it may be that the air conditioning is generally set to limit the temperature downwards (especially with the current energy costs). In general, however, I can highly recommend the SBH Crystal Beach Hotel. I definitely had a pleasant and relaxing week here.
