I had a fantastic stay at the Taprobane house. Communication was great when I needed to change dates prior to my visit, and the room turned out to be even better than I thought as it was spacious and clean. Even my driver was impressed with my hotel selection, as it is located in a really nice Colombo 3 area of the city. The water pressure and temp were also good. There is an on-site dining area in which you can eat all meals of the day, but breakfast does start at 7:30, which is late for people going on daytrips that start at 8am. Staff are friendly, had no issues with noise, and the rooftop pool has an amazing sunset view. The only thing is that the hotel is located on a narrow street with limited parking so it will be hard for those who bring rental cars. Highly recommend.

This hotel is a gem. What a find! I absolutely loved my stay here and I was very sad that I only had 1 night. The room is beautiful. It is clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud. The location is perfect. It is quiet and you can access everything very easily. The pool was clean and pool towels are provided automatically in the room. A towel bin by the pool area would be good and the sunbed cushions could do with a clean. This was the only flaw. I do wish there was breakfast included in the price, but I understand that you can book this separately. Also, some creamer in the room for tea and coffee would be good. The staff are attentive and helpful - thank you again for making my stay so enjoyable.

This was our 4th stay here. We love it. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The staff are friendly, professional and extremely attentive. The location is perfect nestled in between Barefoot and Raux brothers. It is close to all the local shops and railway station at Kollupitiya. The rooftop pool is a bonus. It's now become our first choice when staying in Colombo.

We stayed at Taprobane House twice in December 2024 and absolutely loved it. This is a real gem of a place. It’s comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. Restaurant food is very good and the rooftop pool is a nice addition. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel- exceeded expectations. Newly refurbished and very up to date. Very friendly staff, the rooms are really good size with comfortable beds and pillows, lovely shower. The food also really good quality and you can enjoy the roof terrace and pool. Highly recommend!

Modernes und sauberes Hotel an guter Lage. Die Ausstattung ist neu und die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig. Der Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Der Service ist sehr gut. Sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Zeer goede ervaring gehad in dit hotel. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Schone en moderne kamers. Lekker eten met een moderne Franse twist. Het zwembad is een aanrader om even af te koelen. Voor ons een mooie afsluiting van onze vakantie. Daarnaast een super leuk en verrassend valentijns menu gehad.

We hebben dit hotel geboekt om 21:00 in de avond en kwamen om 21:30 aan. Dit was geen probleem en al het personeel is enorm behulpzaam. De kamer zag er op en top netjes uit. Het eten was ook erg lekker en het zwembad is ook netjes. Een hele fijne afsluiter van een fijne vakantie!
