Beware! During a recent stay €200 was stolen from my room. The staff could have done far more to help. The police were called, and a criminal complaint was filed. No resolution has yet been reached. My room was locked—someone had a key and broke in. This was not my first time staying here. The rooms are very good, and the location is excellent. Bad experience because of robbery.

The room was very clean, but it advertised internet. Internet rarely works and only if you sit outside with the bugs. Staff (I think it was the owner who was the worst. He seemed to set the example for the others.) was very rude. Breakfast paled in comparison to other hostels. In city center, so very loud. Definitely ranks low compared to many other hostels I have stayed at. There’s really no excuse for being rude.

Went here for a school trip and it was not enjoyable. The food most nights (except one) was inedible and the bedding was almost starchy if that’s the correct word. They don’t provide towels or even hand soap. There is a small shop in the lobby that only accepts cash. Key wouldn’t work and I wouldn’t go back unless you paid me.

this hostel is the most minging thing ever, I was stuck eating lettuce at all dinners and nothing more.Hardly anyone ate everything. The bathroom was okay, the shower pressure was good. The beds, oh my the mattresses are rock solid and also they make you put the sheets on. If you lose your key you have to pay $60 to get it cut. Being honest I wouldn’t go here.

Clean, the best accommodation for visiting Kolln/Cologne fairs. Walking distance to fair and also famous Deutz Bridge. Douring the ANUGA fair, the prices for other accommodations are extremely expensive. So this hostel is the most convenient and budget friendly option Rooms are clean, private bathrooms, etc. Just book single occupancy.

The JHB is located directly at the Deutz train station. From the main train station and cathedral it is only a 10-15 minute walk over the Hohenzollern Bridge. The Lanxess Arena is 5 minutes away and behind the JHB is the legendary Lommerzheim restaurant. That and the value for money are absolutely top. The hostel itself is well equipped and the 6 man room was spacious and quite clean. The breakfast is sufficient and completely okay. If you're just looking for something to sleep in, this is the place for you!
