Find the Cheap Oakland County Hotels

First night of a two night stay. I approached a member of the room service staff, only to be informed that cleaning would only occur upon instruction from the front desk. After relaying my request to the front desk, I received assurances that it would be taken care of. However, upon our return that night, our room remained untouched. Frustrated, I sought an explanation from the front desk, only to be directed to either inform the receptionist or the room supervisor if I want my room cleaned next time. Second night of two. While my son and I were engrossed in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, an unexpected power outage plunged us into darkness. Despite our hopes, the TV remained dormant until the following day, and to our discomfort, the heat failed to return as well. Seeking some form of compensation for the inconvenience, I inquired about a discount, only to be met with a dismissive response citing that the circumstances were not there fault. During check, I was once again reminded that the situation wasn't their responsibility. To compound matters, the culinary experience was further marred by undercooked eggs on both days of our stay. I took the time to complete their survey, hopeful that my concerns would finally reach corporate ears. Yet, once again, my pleas seemed to go unnoticed and unanswered.

Our family stayed at Residence Inn Pontiac for 13 days in May 2022 while our daughter was attending the Euro-Therapies clinic across the street. This was our fourth stay at the hotel and it was terrific. The staff is, without exception, extremely kind and helpful. The customer service is impeccable. Sondra was especially instrumental in making our stay so fantastic. The facilities are clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The kids had a fantastic time. I cannot thank the staff enough for how our family was treated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

As a titanium elite member I have stayed at every type of Marriott property in the United States. This was my best experience of any of them. Thanks to the Marriott team of Randy, Tim, Ocher, Deseri, James, Darius, Ebony and several others that I have encountered. Even the GM took time to stop over and talk even though there were two weddings and another event in the hotel. Smiles Abound Here! This cohesive team's only wish is for you to enjoy your stay to the maximum. Thank you to all and I look forward to returning soon

We had a great experience at this location. The staff were friendly (especially at breakfast) and helpful. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Parking was available close to the entrance which made it easy to unload with the kids. Would stay again if we were back in the area.

Great hotel

I come to this area every year for a classic car cruise and visit family. This is the closest hotel to my family. I have stayed here in years past and its been average. Nothing special but I don't spend a lot of time there to begin with. This visit the room was overcome with a musty odor. The only way to combat it was to run the A/C very high and keep the bathroom fanning running. After a day in the sun we would come back to this ice box. Without doing that the room smelled and none of the linens would dry. And it was't really that humid out. The Wifi was also very glitchy. These are enough factors that when I return next year I won't be coming back to this Hampton Inn.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Farmington Hills - Detroit. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

This place is seriously in need of an update. The beds were old and worn out, the entry light to the room did not work, so we were scrambling to try to find a light source because the room was getting dark. The heating unit was set at fan only so the room was 51 degrees when we got there. It took several hours to heat up to 70, then it continously turned on and off every few seconds throughout the night and it was loud. The bathroom was dingy with peeling wall paper, that was actually throughout the whole room as well. I might point out that I paid an upgrade charge to have the privilege of this room. The hallway smells so bad they had several strong air freshners plugged in that made us all cough. We went to the pool and the first step was so slippery I fell going in, as well as two kids that came in behind me. When reported the guy gave me a canned response about the steps being under water etc. I've been going to hotels my whole life and never had this issue. The breakfast was the worst, the premade cheese omelets were burnt around the edges and rubbery, you could not eat them, the sausage was the same way. I only gave 2 stars because most of the staff were super friendly and tried really hard to make up for the disaster that this place is. The sad part is this is the only ”decent” place to stay within a half hour of my daughter's house.

We chose this hotel over a different less expensive hotel down the street because of the highly reviewed restaurant and the beautiful interior photos on the website. We paid around $400 for this room. When we arrived, we discovered that the hotel was hosting a Classic Cars event. All of the parking spaces at the front entrance and along the sides were taken up by Classic Cars and parade tents filled with partying people. There was a very loud band blocking the hotel entrance as well, and it was raining. This all might have been fun if we were Classic Car enthusiasts, but we are not. We're just regular family people and we were there for a baptism at the church down the road. The hotel bar and restaurant were completely filled with event guests. We discovered we had been booked into an Accessible room, meaning that it was outfitted for wheelchairs, but we are young(ish) and not disabled. Other than that, the room was pretty......until we opened the curtains and were staring at what must have been the entire HVAC system for the hotel. Possibly worst of all, there was a piped-in scent throughout the hotel - even in our room - that reminded me of cheap 1980's men's musk cologne. It was awful. It permeated our clothes, and my hair. All night, cars were revving their engines. However, the front desk staff was very nice. What we experienced was definitely not what was advertised by this hotel.

This is my favorite hotel. I stay at Sonesta in every city I go. Always clean, always so comfortable. I would recommend it to everyone. For business, pleasure, or just to get away, Sonesta is the best choice for all of your travel needs
