The new and high tech washer dryer in room was great but because we’re not familiar with this combo appliance, it was a bit of a shock to find out a small load takes almost 4 hours to wash and dry! The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was just right. The casting feature on the 2 huge tv screens were a nice bonus but seems a bit buggy. I absolutely loved the bidet! I wish it was a standard in all Hilton hotels! The staff are awesome and the customer service from the engineers who adjusted the aircon in our room is top notch! It made all the difference to our quality of sleep.

I don't think I have met more unfriendly staff than at this place. As well, upon check-in, I asked the staff on duty if where I was parked was okay to leave the vehicle, and he checked, and said 'absolutely' (parking is a bit challenging, and I wasn't sure where to do so; it was also quite late - middle of the night). When I checked out in the morning, I found two parking tickets on my vehicle. This could have been avoided if I had been given correct information (there were no signs saying I could not park there). The bed was brutally uncomfortable (sagging, broken springs), and there were no pillowcases on the pillows. The air conditioner unit was broken. This place is also exorbitantly priced for a hostel, even for an expensive location like Maui. The bathrooms were clean and pancakes were delicious. The common area/lobby was clean and attractive.

We did a sister trip for our birthdays and thru the recommendation of a dear friend we were able to get a room here and we couldn’t have been happier. Everything was amazing from the location which is perfectly centrally located, to the room and most importantly the hosts from Joanna and Kaui to everyone I spoke to at the desk. Working in the industry for 27 years I know good customer service when I feel it … and the host of the Maui Coast Hotel are top notch! My sister and I can’t wait to go back! The hotel feels like a vacation, with beaches and airport shuttles. Parking fee. The room is relatively large. There are also many gas stations nearby. The airport and Wal-Mart are only a few kilometers away. In the morning, you can see the glow of sunrise on the opposite mountain, which is very beautiful. A bit noisy near the road.
