Located a short walk from the bus terminal as shown on Google Maps. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Harbour Center. Very convenient. The reception lady was friendly and helpful. I stayed in a standard single as I was only transitting. The room was small, basic and clean. Small desk and chair. Some hanging space but no shelving to lay clothes. The aircon and tv worked fine. Lighting was good. The bed had clean linens and provided a good sleep. The bathroom was a small wetroom. The shower had hot water and good pressure. Walking distance to 7-11, KFC and other shops. Excellent all round value for an overnight stay.

We had an awesome stay over. We enjoy ourselves in the house playing board games and we went out to tapau back to eat in the house cause we really enjoy the spacious hall cause we were tired from the day activity. Love the aesthetic and the house concept. Theres 3 bathrooms suitable for 6-7px adults.

Its an old hotel with sufficient necessities if u need to spend a night or two.The location is good next to the beach n opposite Hospital Mersing in case u need to pay a visit..But sad enough theres negligence in the basic aspects of cleanliness.Something has to be done to this hotel.. at least spruce it up wt new coating of paint.Mouldy & old stains here and there..Toilets not so clean.Im sure if some money is thrown into this hotel it will definitely lives up to its name by being berโSeriโ again n collect much revenue since the capacity is full during my stay there since tourists dont hv much choice..Price of rooms okey .The picture is the beach behind the hotel during low tide ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ

Cheapest hotel with basic necessities provided. Best for solo traveller or group. Clean and also very near to Mersing Harbour for those whose seeking for best hotel for short stay. The male receptionist also very good and always ready to help.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and for some reason they have disallowed reviews on the site - likely due to their poor facilities and fear of (deserved) bad reviews. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because we were able to sleep in the beds, as they were passable. However, the shower stank and was so gross we did not use it even after a long travel day - it smelled of mould and fungus. Service is poor, you are left standing in front of reception for many minutes despite being the only people there before anyone acknowledges your presence or helps you out at all. The town of Mersing is also pretty lack lustre and the only reason to go here is to get to Tioman Island, but if you can avoid staying overnight I would do so as Mersing has bad; over priced food and a rubbish filled, dying ocean.

The hotel is modest, good for the money. Shower, water, air conditioning. iron on the floor. 20 minutes to the pier with a backpack. Also to the bus station. The staff is very friendly. They left our luggage for a couple of hours after check-out while we waited for the ferry. For my purposes - to wash myself, to spend the night, itโs very good. The city is very cozy, we walked around with pleasure. I recommend the hotel. Bus to Kuala Lumpur 43 ringit, ferry to Tioman 60 ringit one way. Plus tax 30.

I'd say Merlin Inn brings for me nostalgia of a building that stood still since the 70s. It has a rustic charm to it. The property sits on a quiet hill side, about 800m away from the sea. It is separated by the main road. Room is basic in a good way. It is well maintained, and clean. AC is working perfectly well. Bath Room is cleaned and good. There's no food or a cafe in this facility. So you need to either pack your own snacks. But that's not a deal breaker. Within a short 10 minute drive, there are food, eateries at the roundabout after the arching bridge.
