My stay at Kharaa Hotel was wonderful! From the friendly and efficient check-in to the moment I left, everything was perfect. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had a stunning view. The restaurant served delicious food, and the breakfast options were plentiful and fresh. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool and found the fitness center to be well-equipped. The hotel’s location made it easy to explore the nearby attractions, and the staff's recommendations were spot-on. Lastly the hotel was very affordable

I made a reservation for 3 nights, but I arrived at 8am on the first day to leave my bag, but I heard I could check-in early so I left my bag in the room. He was very kind and pleasant. But when I got back around 9pm a female employee called me in and forced me to pay MNT10000 for early check-in. I said, You didn't tell me in the morning and I can't pay. Then she said, ”Then he who worked in the morning should pay instead of you.” It was also very unpleasant of her to say this to me. She was so unkind. 3박 예약하고 첫날 아침 8시에 도착해서 가방을 맡기려고하니, 일찍 체크인 할 수 있다해서 방에 가방을 두고 나옴. 남자직원이 너무 친절하고 상냥. 그런데 밤 9시쯤 호텔에 돌아왔을 때, 여직원이 날 불러서 조기 체크인 비용 MNT10000을 내라고 두번 강요함. 아침에 말 안해줬고, 낼 수 없다하니, ”그러면 아침에 일했던 남자직원이 당신 대신 돈을 내게 할거다”라고 함. 호텔에서 이런말을 나에게 하는것도 나를 불쾌하게 함. 그리고 가성비 너무 안좋음. 조식도 별로, 헬스장도 너무 낡은 고장난 기계들뿐..

Bearing in mind that English is not one of their native languages (which was way better than my Mongolian to be sure) the staff was as helpful and patient as they could be with me. I stayed at the hotel for a week for business (in January, with -25'C weather - not my first choice!), and as it was close to my work place, it was ideal for me. Things I really liked were: the heated bathroom floors, the bath / shower options, the big towels, the comfort level of temperature in the rooms (I never felt cold in the hotel, which I was amazed about), the gym and the breakfast each day, and the staff bringing water whenever needed (the tap water is not considered potable). I took advantage of the airport pick-up and drop-off, as well as the drop-off to the work place, which was most convenient. I recommend this hotel to others considering staying here, if the location works for you.

Stayed 3 nights with my wife. I heard that hotels in Ulaanbaatar, even luxury hotels, have inconveniences such as weak water supply and hot water not coming out immediately, but this hotel was also the same. It took 3-15 minutes to get hot water in the shower. Times changed from day to day. There was also rust in the water, and it smelled of iron and turned pale red. After running water for about 3 minutes, the smell of iron disappeared. Furthermore, all outlets were disabled on the first day of our stay. It was restored immediately after responding to the reception, but at first I was impatient. I was caught up in this kind of inconvenience, but maybe because I was prepared in advance, it was only inconvenient for the first two hours or so. The room was large and it was OK to leave the suitcase open. There were about 4 outlets, so we could use the dryer while charging our phones. The staff at the reception and the attached restaurant could speak broken English, so I didn't have a big problem. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. In addition, we were able to arrange a car (or maybe it was a white taku?) that will pick you up between the airport and the hotel. At 100,000 Turg (4,500 Yen) one way, it was 50% more than a regular white taxi, but it was cheap enough to buy peace of mind. The accommodation fee was about 10,000 yen per night, even though it was not at its peak. I used a VISA credit card. It was a 3-minute walk to Sukhbart Square, and there were several restaurants around, so it was a very convenient location. This hotel is recommended.

The Flower Hotel has 180 rooms and is very popular with local, Asian and Russian travelers. My room was very large, the bathroom was also and there was a bathtub. Room service was confusing, sometimes lacked toilet paper, some other thing. The facilities were good, but they came into the years and without much snack. The bed was very good, air conditioning worked. The Indian and Japanese local in the house I personally found moderate and overpriced, the Korean on the cross is fantastic. Breakfast is versatile, but unfortunately in a jewelry windowless room. Very difficult: the indoor rooms close shortly after 21:00. I didn't understand that at all - often I came there just from the work and finally worried about the corner of the mini market. The staff is very careful. Location: The hang down is the shopping mall Emart with mostly Korean range and large food department - closes at 22:00. At foot you can reach something - sometimes faster than in the taxi through the bust. What was really nice: from the lobby to the room you have to get down a stairway to one gang, then again a stairway to the lift. As I always took several baggage to work, it was my daily sports exercise - although not rarely an hotel staffer hurried and helped. But all in all I felt very well.

Hotel is same building with a bank. Next building also another bank and thus changing money is easy. B1 is small supermarket with prices displayed. Level 2 is restaurant for meals. Level 3 hotpot restaurant.. (did not try) Big TV. Toiletries provided. Mini bar at your cost with fridge. Level 8 sauna is apparently not open during my visit. Opposite hotel is another small supermarket and prices are displayed for your convenience. Nomin supermarket is about 500m away..

Stayed for three days, and the room was indeed not cleaned by anyone.
I give a good review to the front desk staff, who will help call a taxi. There is a coffee shop downstairs, which is very convenient. There is a supermarket next to it, and there is a small shopping mall on the right where you can eat and withdraw money.

GGuest UserThis is a capsule hotel perfect for solo travelers. The reception doesn't speak much English, but it wasn't a problem since I didn't need to communicate. It was very clean and the showers had hot water. The breakfast was also pretty good. An older lady spoke to me in Japanese, saying ”Good morning! Breakfast!!” The capsules have an auto-lock and there's no place to hide, so it's safe even for women traveling alone. I didn't feel particularly scared. The location is about a 30-minute walk from the center. It's not impossible to get around on foot, but I recommend taking a taxi. It's close to Narantuul Market.

CCaptain KenZaya is an excellent place to stay in Ulaanbaatar! The facilities are complete (including a fully equipped kitchen), modern, clean, quiet. Everything is maintained and functions well (hot water, heating, lights, etc.) The owners are helpful and friendly. The location is great - walking distance to many museums and other city sights, as well as markets, stores and restaurants.
The Trip location map is accurate, and once getting to the building, you need to find the access door to the 3rd floor (where the Zaya office is located), which is to the right and the back of ”Urban Beats” (see my photos). Also, the entrance has an electronic lock requiring a code or key to enter (as does the entrance door on the 3rd floor). If you did not get the entrance instructions by email (we did not), you should contact the owner via the number provided by Trip. This is also the owner's WhatsApp number.
We enjoyed our time at Zaya and intend to stay again after our foray into the Mongolian outback.
We highly recommend Zaya Hostel.

I stayed at Edelweiss for a total of 7 nights as a solo traveler. It is considered centrally location but it is actually a little west of central, still a great location. Because of the traffic congestion, walking is the best way to get around (I averaged 2-9 miles a day). The rooms were clean, 2 bottles of water provided daily. The reception and housekeeping staff very nice, always available. The restaurant cafe is run by a different company/owner. It feels like a lounge and is nice place to hang out with glass of wine after long day touring. It is also popular with locals. It was closed on Sunday. The pasta dish & pizza were excellent. The complimentary breakfast buffet included tea & coffee (with warm milk for your coffee), juice drink, a very yummy cold oatmeal concoction with apples, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs with meat to order. The breakfast coffee was subpar, but the restaurant served a great cappuccino (approx US $2.332). I didn't see an elevator; all rooms are on the 2nd & 3rd level. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the art on the wall is for sell. Just 1-2 blocks west are two restaurants that I highly recommend: Italian restaurant Albero's (on the east side of the Mika Hotel) and Lonsdale Art Lounge. There is no airport transfer service. I took a shuttle from airport for US$10.00. For my return to airport, it cost me $20.00. Allow minimum 1 hour. The street names in UB are confusing with poor signage. I consider the hotel to be on Embassy Rd., not Chin Van whatever Street.

JJens BThe hotel is acceptable and a valid price (around 30$). You can have your private bathroom. The bathroom is small and the water is not really leaving the sink. Air smells a lot due to the smoking behaviour of prior guests. With open window you can survive. We got a welcome soup and the check in was fast. Good location of hotel.
