Peaceful and quiet. Spacious. Office service is good (helped me call a taxi, promptly fixed a smoke detector issue). The only complaint I have is that the shower water doesn't get very hot - lukewarm at best.

My family and I stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott this past weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. The newly renovated rooms were absolutely beautiful—modern, comfortable, and impeccably clean. It was the perfect mix of luxury and relaxation, and we truly felt at home. Every interaction with the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, was warm and genuine, making us feel like valued guests. A huge thank you to the entire team for making my Dad’s birthday getaway so memorable. We will definitely be returning!
Fantastic brand new hotel with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Despite the location being set back from the beach and next to a busy road they've managed to create a feeling of a quiet tropical sanctuary. The pool area is fabulous, and fantastic for kids. The walk to the beach is lovely and really not long. The beach bar is very cool with amazing food. No complaints about the food at the hotel restaurant either. However,we have to give a big thumbs down for the non-existent sound insulation between rooms - we heard peeing sounds and talking all night, but worst of all the music from the rooftop bar was banging loud in our room. Reception offered earplugs and a white noise machine when we complained, giving us the impression we weren't the first ones to complain. What a shame that they've been cheap on something so important when otherwise the fitout is beautiful.
This is our third stay at this property and we will return. We love the seclusion of this property which is on the north sound. The room was clean and maintenance responded when we called. I do have a few comments: The hallways need to be renovated with brighter lighting and new carpeting or new tile and the rooms need to be exterminated on a regular basis. Being near the water I expect to see some insects. We had several small clear or tan spiders. We were able to control most of them with insect spray. We are hopeful that the dock will be rebuilt and operational before we return. Lastly the hot water pressure in one of the sinks was poor, I shared the other sink with my husband when I needed hot water. We especially were pleased that we were able to take our covid-19 tests to return to the US at the hotel. This was very convenient. The Driftwood restaurant on the property had excellent food which kept us from leaving the property to eat daily. This property is beautiful, relaxing and kept clean.
I love this hotel 😭😭😭 like there is a beautiful beaches inside the hotel, a nice swimming pool there, and a delicious restaurant!! 😭😭 and there is musician performance at night (I really love it)!! The staff there are just sooo helpful!! Like our stingray city snorkelling trip got cancelled by the agent we booked, but then the captain in cayman sun splash tours just being SOOOO helpful, and he helped us calling different agent within cayman island, and eventually we make out stingray city trip before we left 😭😭 we re absolutely grateful for that!! Overall the experience is just soooo good for me & my frds, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel!!

Checking it was flawless. No waiting for room. The grill was best place to eat on the island. Save some $ and stay here vs the Westin. You can use all of the Westin’s facilities and even charge back to your room at Sunshine. It’s about 5 minute walk to the beach but there’s a sushi place, a sports bar, a yogurt shop and a liquor store all on the way. Pool is nice and warm. Rooms are cozy with working appliances. We’d stay here again

CcarmenbO1969WOMy family and I went to Grand Cayman in August. I am so happy that I chose this resort. Hands down, a 10 rating from us. From the moment we arrived, we were treated amazing. Nataly checked us in and although our room was not ready, we walked around, ate at Coccoloba and waited until around 3:30pm when the room was finally ready. We were exhausted. Although we had a nice room, I wish we would have been offered a complimentary room upgrade as the resort really did not appear so full, but we were not. Maybe next time. The resort is immaculate, the food amazing and the worker incredible. From the doormen, to housekeeping, front desk, pool towel guys, etc., everyone was just great. One person that stands out and I must mention is Laszlo, the morning manager at Ave. This man could not do enough for us. He epitomizes the title of manager. The resort is so lucky to have him. Another person that stood out was Mo from the towel hut at the pool and beach. He was so attentive and so nice. Another gem for the resort. We did not encounter one bad meal during our stay. The Library is top notch, such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. My husband said he had the best Old Fashion there. We also went into town and ate at Pepper's (totally recommend) and Ragazzi (totally recommend) My birthday was amazing, we did the Stingray tour and it was a once in a lifetime experience. All in all an unforgettable trip and we are looking forward to returning soon. The only downside, and I hate to say this - is that in the rooms they stock up the fridge with different things that if you are not paying attention when your bags are dropped off and listen, you will miss the part where they tell you that whatever you take from that fridge, you will be charged for. Now I totally understand being charged for alcohol, but water..? Come on, that's a bit much and that is the only thing that I found negative. Yes, they offer water stations at the pool and beach, plus free sunscreen (total plus), but a person should not have to collect water from these places to bring up to their room. Water in the rooms should not be something a guest has to pay for. Especially since the resort is pretty expensive as is.
KKatie CThe staff were all super friendly and helpful. They had lots of great recommendations. We stayed in the family suite and it was perfect for our family of 3 but could have accommodated 4 comfortably. Very clean. Great location. Things to do within walking distance but also easy to drive around. The made to order breakfast that is included with your stay was delicious. I would most definitely stay again.
