The hotel is located close to Xialv Hot Spring Street. Book the Dragon God Festival that night. Turning down the street is already a food stall location. Then there is Bailu Bridge 👍 The hotel entrance registration location is neat, there are coffee and other drinks, and there are bathrobes for male/female guests and children to wear out 👍 guest room size is still Yes, very comfortable, with separate toilets and bathrooms. Although there is a loan cut, the lack of baths is still a fly in the ointment. Breakfast was great, with hot Japanese-style miscellaneous soup in a thermos bottle, bread and juice 😋

Gero Onsen is located in one of Japan's three most famous hot springs and is famous for its high-quality hot spring water and beautiful natural environment. I had a great experience staying at a traditional ryokan in Gero Onsen. First of all, the hotel's architectural style combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comfort facilities, making people feel a strong Japanese style as soon as they step in. The service staff at the hotel were very warm and friendly. They provided me with attentive service in fluent Japanese and some English, making me feel at home. Next is the hot spring experience. The water of Gero Hot Spring is clear and rich in minerals, which has a good nourishing effect on the skin. I particularly like bathing in the open-air hot springs, especially at night. While enjoying the warm spring water and looking up at the stars, the feeling of tranquility and relaxation is indescribable. Dinner is another highlight. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is exquisite and delicious. Each dish is a work of art. It is not only delicious in color, aroma and taste, but also has fresh ingredients, which fully demonstrates the charm of Japanese cuisine. Overall, my stay at Gero Onsen was very good. I was deeply impressed by the hot springs, service and food. It was an unforgettable travel experience.

The location of the hotel is very partial, not in Gero, it is at Hida osaka station. It takes about half an hour by JR from Takayama to arrive. It is a very, very small platform. After getting off the train, there are no people in a radius of 10 kilometers. All shops are closed. If you don’t make it in advance Raiders will probably cry out at the station because of helplessness. We took the address and took the bus. This is an original hot spring hotel with a century of history, full of human touch and warmth. Most of them are Japanese locals who come to soak in the hot springs by themselves. The hotel owner and staff do not speak English at all. They rely on the lame translation machine➕sign language to communicate. When entering the store, they will first make an appointment for the bath time, which is only 40 minutes. It seems that there is no need to make an appointment outside. For breakfast, all Japanese-style home cooking is exquisite and there are many types. After taking you to the room, Obasan was very polite. He felt sorry for us because the room was still cold. There were two hot water bottles in the bed. Quanyuekan is named for the high concentration of carbonated springs. The two pools have a lower temperature inside and a higher temperature outside. There is hot spring water at the entrance of the male bath that you can drink directly. It is soda water. The mask paper is provided, you can go directly in to get the hot spring water to apply, or you can feel the bubbling under the bottom, and the skin will be slippery after soaking. Inadequate: the location is really biased! Although the dinner and breakfast provided are very rich, it is inevitable that you will be lonely in this wilderness! You need to bring your own dry food! There are no other activities except bathing, the hotel is very, very quiet! Compare

Staying in a room with an open-air hot tub is full of mosquitoes, like a bathtub on the terrace, which is twice as expensive as an ordinary room, not too expensive. Breakfast and dinner are buffets, the food is ok, this season is for beef and pork hot pot. There is free parking. There are free massage chairs in the lobby.

The shaking of the elevator 🛗 spills the cup of coffee. I felt very dangerous. Welcome drinks were very good. The service of Oden 🍢 and Ramen 🍜 is the best. The private open-air bath was not good, but the underground bath was good. For dinner, grilled meat on a pottery plate 🥩 Hobamiso is delicious. Free alcohol drinks were also good. The water splitting of the sub-flowing water in Hida was the most fun. At breakfast, Orange 🍊 was very sweet and delicious. I wish I had ice cream. In terms of price, I will give you a passing score. In addition, please provide customer service. I would like to use it again. Fireworks 🎇 also looked a little!

Experienced the best satisfaction at a ryokan and not expensive price. The building is old and old, but it was well maintained and clean, and unlike the appearance, the interior was quite spacious. The owner's family were very friendly and provided the best service and meals. The hot springs are small too, but the water is very good, clean. It's a place I definitely want to visit again later. Thank you! :)

Very memorable experience, the whole process from the start to leave was wonderful, touching service, perfect meal, only a little bit I'm not too used to is there is no shower in the room, it's my personal habit. But it was a very memorable journey and I am very grateful to all the staff of KKR Gero for their care and service, thank you again

The waiters were very polite and kind and we had a very good experience. The rooms are very comfortable. Each room has a private bath, so you can enjoy the hot spring in the room. There is enough space and two beds are provided. The hotel provides two meals, and the food is excellent. It also provides a shuttle bus to Gero Station, which is a very happy experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel has few rooms, but it is very clean, tidy and warm. The food is Japanese style and the ingredients are very fresh. The indoor and outdoor hot springs are on two different floors, which is not very convenient. The service is very good. When checking in, they will introduce the hotel facilities and some precautions for check-in. Every service staff is very enthusiastic. Alipay and UnionPay cards are not accepted for payment at check-out, and it is not very convenient to use cash.

MmagelIt's far from the JR station, but the hotel provides free round-trip taxi service. The hotel photos show that it's old, but it's actually much newer than the photos. Compared with other hotels, it's very private and elegant. There are indoor and outdoor public hot springs and a private hot spring, but there are few people staying in the public hot spring, which is like a private hot spring. It's worth it! The dinner is amazing, and the breakfast is ordinary (a lot of fish is a bit fishy). Disadvantages: I don't know why there is no floor heating. The room is very large, but the air conditioning is not strong enough, so the room is always cold and not warm enough.

GGuest UserOur stay at Suimeikan in Gero was nothing short of amazing. Despite the hotel's age, it has maintained its charm and offers a truly remarkable experience. The facilities were well-kept, and the traditional ambiance combined with modern conveniences made our visit both relaxing and comfortable. The onsen was a highlight, offering a serene and rejuvenating experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Suimeikan perfectly captures the essence of Gero – a blend of timeless beauty and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very convenient. It takes only a few minutes to walk to JR Gero Station. I booked a set meal with dinner and breakfast. There are many kinds of food, but the children are not used to it. The room is Japanese tatami. It was snowing heavily that day. The room temperature is relatively cold. I set the air conditioner to 30 degrees and it was still very cold. There is no bath in the room. The bathroom is super small. The bathing place is on the first floor. There are relatively few people. The outdoor hot spring is very comfortable. The toiletries are Pola brand. There is free coffee in the lobby. The restaurant is on the second floor. The room is keyed. There is a huge lucky cat store nearby. You can go shopping. The snow scene is very beautiful.

GGuest UserAn old hotel that retains its grandness.. Although at check in, I was informed there's a charge only if I take the flowery yukata. There are free surprises in the Japanese room every day. Clean Japanese socks, towels in bags and a different Japanese sweet every day with Japanese tea My room faces the Hida River, it was beautiful looking out. It is very near the rail line, but it didn't disturb me. And I suppose all river facing hotels face the same light loving insects. But if you follow the instructions placed in the room, it is alright

JJoyce**Hotel Review** Unfortunately, my experience at this hot spring hotel did not meet expectations. The dinner service was particularly lacking. The food had already been set up in the room before we arrived, and the waiter offered minimal assistance, only asking if we had lit the fire. There was no explanation of the dishes, nor was a menu provided. To make matters worse, the necessary cutlery for different courses was repeatedly overlooked, which detracted from the overall dining experience. The food itself was unremarkable and didn’t compare to what other hot spring hotels typically offer. The private onsen also posed a challenge. The water switch was broken, leaving no way to adjust the temperature or water flow, resulting in water that was uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning was very basic and lacked the variety or creativity I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the standards I’ve experienced elsewhere and left much room for improvement.

WWiKiSUNGTraditional ryokan hotel with only real Japanese Overall spacious and well maintained hotel You can relax quietly while visiting the snowy mountains at a very reasonable price Free parking Very very large and various natural hot spring public baths Two luxury open-air baths based on men It's a bit far but there is a bus transfer so no burden The road is improved, so rental cars are enough for snow tires. Very good breakfast and Kaiseki (dinner) for the season It was a little long, but it didn't smell at all and it was nice to have a atmosphere. Small but with local souvenirs and gifts

GGuest User2.1 night 3500RMB, it feels a bit expensive. But this is a hot spring hotel with an excellent experience and impeccable service. Take a taxi from JR Gero Station to the hotel, free of charge. The reception staff is warm and thoughtful, and takes good care of every detail of the hotel and the room, which makes people feel very considerate. They don't even charge tips, which is very polite. Accommodation includes one night and two meals, the dishes are rich and varied, and the taste is amazing. Especially dinner, it can be called a feast for taste buds, but breakfast is slightly ordinary in comparison. The room I stayed in has its own private soup, and you can also watch the gorgeous fireworks festival. It is so comfortable that I didn't go to the open-air bath on the eighth floor of the hotel. The hotel also thoughtfully prepared welcome snacks, exquisite kimonos, and coffee in the lobby bar is also free, showing quality and care everywhere. Everything here makes me very satisfied, and the price of drinks is also very affordable. The only small drawback is that you have to eat breakfast at 8 o'clock and check out at 10:30, so you can't sleep in, otherwise it really can be called full marks💯

GGuest UserExcellent! Very satisfied for this onsen hotel!! Definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays.

DDonovan_lIt was a comfortable, family-run Ryokan style inn. There is free parking for those who drive. It is also walking distance from the train station. We arrived after dark and the staff told us there was no more dinner, so they recommended us a dinner place nearby. For breakfast which was included, it was a full set and really delicious Japanese platter. We ate to our heart’s content. The onsen is located on the basement and the 4th floor, I like it specially for the rooftop onsen. The men and women onsen will swap at certain timings to allow each gender to enjoy the facilities at the rooftop. They give clear instructions on a piece of paper, and you just need to look at the colour of the cloth hanging outside the onsen. The hotel is located near the town centre, so you can walk around easily.
