Find the Best Campalto Hotels

Hotel very clean, comfy mattress and pillows; the room quite small and attached to the wall. My observation is the room was extremely quite, I believe there was not anybody in the hotel, except for the two of us. That’s make me feel a little uncomfortable, probably I have a lot of imagination, but what will happen if someone decided to break in? Anyway it was a different experience and I am glad we left at 4 in the morning. The taxi was arranged without any problem. I do recommend the hotel, if you want a peaceful place I for a good price.

On arrival, pretty friendly. Walked into the smallest of rooms, no balcony as advertised and no fridge as advertised. Disappointing even after asking the reception for a fridge , just got told no. We were only there for sleeping really but the view from the small window was that of next doors back garden. The shower, even though looked poor actually was powerful and refreshing. Beds were hard but bearable. For the price it kind of served its purpose but a fridge would have made life a lot easier rather than putting our drinks on the air conditioning unit to cool them down. Fortunately the air conditioning worked well. Overall, bearable but would look for better in the future.

Stayed at Antony overnight & enjoyed the convenience of being close to airport for flight out next morning. Shuttle was convient for pick up/drop off (8 euros). Located right off Bus No 5 route so went into Venice for half day. Very good breakfast buffet offered in restaurant.

HOTEL: **After I checked-in and paid, the hotel/restaurant manager and possibly owner told me the front door would be locked at night. Immediately, although now dark outside, I looked out my room’s windows trying to estimate the distance to the ground for what would be the only ‘escape’ route in case of fire. I haven’t yet written to the country’s department of tourism. I intend to notify them. Another guest’s review talks about going to the door at night and finding that triggered the alarm and caused the police to be summoned. **My room had minimal lighting, and a tiny bathroom where it was necessary to leave the shower stall door open to be able to move your arms as you shower. Surfaces in the room needed to be wiped with antibacterial products to remove the grime and stickiness. Furniture was old and dark. Carpet was worn. **The check-in lady opened the window in my room letting in a supply of mosquitoes and flies from the grassy area and pool outside. Then she closed the wooden window covering while glaring at me and then finally closed the glass window. **No toilet paper in the bathroom. Had to ask and was directed to a closet at the end of a hallway where I could get some toilet paper and take it to my room. **A family of guests I met at the hotel said their air conditioning did not work **Few guests at the hotel despite the fact it was July and high season for tourist stays. First thing in the morning there were five cars in the parking lot. And perhaps some belonged to staff. **It appears the owners make their money at the restaurant and from the outdoor swimming pool day user fees. They leave the impression that hotel guests aren’t wanted and are an inconvenience to them RESTAURANT/EVENING: **Loaded with flies and mosquitoes at night **Dirty tabletops needed a wipe **Manager/food preparer/possibly owner had dirt or blood stains under all her fingernails **Poor sanitary practices in the restaurant **Pizza was not restaurant quality flavor or texture RESTAURANT/SERVED BREAKFAST: **Breakfast was an hour-long ordeal of waiting, ordering, waiting, asking for what was ordered and not delivered, going to the kitchen to repeat the order. **As far as I know only toast and coffee was available **The juvenile staff did not coordinate with each other on what to deliver to the tables and made it clear that they were only there putting in time to get paid. One breakfast attendant spoke English and had pool attendant duties, so he was difficult to find when wanting to communicate in English. WHERE TO STAY TO AVOID VILLA SARA: Checked out of Villa Sara after one night and went to an airport hotel nearby for the same rate as Sara. My airport hotel room had a comfortable queen size bed, a big flat screen TV with satellite channels from many countries, a spacious bathroom with rainfall shower, was quiet, comfortable, new’ish, with a delicious, cooked breakfast, parking just outside the hotel front door, and no mosquitos.

Typical Hilton so quality was not bad. Rather than paying v high hotel rates in Venice people should consider Hilton as it is v reasonable. There are two buses right outside the door with the 2nd stop that brings you to Venice bus terminals. You can walk in to Venice or take a ferry within 30 min with things to see whilst you are walking. Another plus is that with a 5 to 10 min taxi ride you and your luggages will arrive at the door of Hilton without the trouble of taking your luggages to your hotel in Venice after transport through boats But you need to time the return journey especially when the weather is cold or wet as it is hard to get a taxi in the evening when people are leaving after dinner.

I would recommend staying here for flights out of VCE. The hotel is minutes away from the airport and we found it to be clean and modern. Our room comfortably fit four people and was quiet. It is also nice to have a restaurant that is open relatively late.

This hotel is advertised as 3 stars, but comes nowhere near to meeting the minimum requirements for 3 stars - It may have been a long time ago but it is definitely not anymore. Staff are not Italian, but from Bangladesh. Communication was an issue - there was only one staff member that worked in the afternoon that could understand English. If you ask them to order you a taxi, they get one of their ”friends” to transport you (which costs more than a normal taxi). The rooms are very small and tired. The bathroom floors are very slippery - my mother fell and hurt herself. Check-in was only available from 3 pm. We arrived on an 11 am flight and were made to wait till 3 pm. There is nowhere to leave luggage securely until check-in. After waiting till 3.30, the cleaner was still busy in the room when we went upstairs to settle in. There is no dining facility (the dining room is closed up). The air-conditioning only operates in the cooler hours of the day - not active between 1 am and 6 am and also between 9 am and 4 pm, which are the hottest parts when needed most and turns off if you open a window and you have to call reception to reset it. It turns off when you leave the room and remove the key. Lots of mosquitoes. We had two different rooms during our stay and both had issues with non-working lights and power points, no bar fridge, and only 1 skinny pillow (more were supplied after multiple requests). There is a lift, but only large enough for one person and a small suitcase. the two of us had to take turns in the lift with our suitcases. There is nowhere in the bathroom to put clothes, toiletries, etc (only one small towel rail and hook) - nowhere in the shower for soaps, etc. Rooms are only serviced (cleaned and re-stocked) every second day. It is convenient to public transport, however, there are very limited and mostly poor eating options in the area. The beds were comfy enough. Only Italian channels were available on the TV in the room.
