The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing with top notch service. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Darjeeling. It’s one of the best hotels with amazing Mountain View with beautiful sunset and sunrise. Hotel staff especially hotel manager Ms Tamanna Ali went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Darjeeling. This hotel is in walking distance to all the famous eateries in Darjeeling ***** with plenty of shops for shopping and souvenirs. Took advantage of the hotel’s location to walk to dinner, checked out couple of shops and have drinks. Rooms were even provided with heaters if required or chilly weather.
This is a transit hotel for people going to various destination within north bengal, sikkim, bhutan. Hotel has all amenities as required for short stay. Good location, connected to major rail, bus auto, taxi stands. Food is good, breakfast us ok not much choice. Staff behaviour is ok. Only one negative is allowing lobbies to be smoking.

Our stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the staff were friendly and the restaurant offered a stunning view, several issues impacted our comfort. The room, located in the basement, was damp and lacked proper ventilation, with no AC or fan available. The bed arrangement was uncomfortable, and the bathroom was smaller than expected, missing the advertised bathtub. The hotel's lack of a lift also made it less accessible for elderly guests. Despite these drawbacks, the 24/7 hot water service was a plus. Pros: Friendly Staff: The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout our stay. In-house Restaurant: The restaurant offers a fantastic view, enhancing the dining experience. Hot Water Availability: The geysers provided 24/7 hot water service, which was very convenient. Cons: Room Location: Our room was located on the second floor, which was actually the basement. Bed Arrangement: Instead of a king bed, we had two single beds joined together, which was uncomfortable. Dampness: The room was quite damp and lacked proper ventilation. No View: The single window in the room only faced the wall of the next building, resulting in no airflow. No AC or Fan: There was no air conditioning or fan in the room, adding to the discomfort. Bathroom Size and Amenities: The bathroom was very small and did not have a bathtub as mentioned in the amenities description. Food Quality: The food at the in-house restaurant was average, despite the great view. Accessibility: There was no lift in the hotel, making it difficult for older guests to access the rooms.
Review of Taj Chia Kutir, Darjeeling We stayed at Taj Chia Kutir, Darjeeling, from 15th to 17th February 2025 to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. While the property itself is stunning and the overall stay was pleasant, our experience was significantly marred by poor service coordination, which ruined our special occasion. Service Disappointment Before our arrival, our travel agent coordinated with Mr. Rishi, the F&B Manager, regarding a special anniversary dinner, estimated to cost around ₹25,000. We were advised to connect with him upon arrival, which we did. Mr. Rishi assured us that he would make arrangements and get in touch with us. He even mentioned sharing his contact number, but he never did. Neither did he reach out to us nor did he arrange anything, leading to a complete disappointment. This lack of communication and follow-through showed a serious disregard for guest experience, which is unexpected from a brand like Taj. Other Aspects of the Stay • Property & Ambience: The resort itself is beautiful, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. • Food: The food was average at best, with a limited spread. For a luxury property, we expected a more diverse and high-quality culinary experience. • Service: Apart from the anniversary dinner mishap, the overall service was decent, but not exceptional. Final Verdict Taj Chia Kutir offers a picturesque setting, but the lack of attention to guest requests and poor service coordination left a bitter taste. For a special occasion, we wouldn’t recommend relying on their team for event arrangements. While the stay was comfortable, this service failure overshadowed our experience. If you’re visiting for a casual getaway, you might enjoy it, but if you’re expecting top-notch service for a special occasion, think twice.
This is a lovely hotel well positioned with excellent views, lovely terraces with hundreds of flowers, really well designed rooms and public spaces. The staff are all excellent very welcoming and service level extremely high Parveen mixes amazing cocktails and was very attentive. The food was excellent both the buffet and off the menu. Housekeeping, nothing was a problem and if the temperature drops they bring hot water bottles and set a real fire in your room. We loved relaxing in the library over tea after a hectic day in fascinating Darjeeling. Highly recommended.
The location is perfect, even non suite rooms (we stayed in the Rangbhang Manor) are very large, and staff is amazing In my years of traveling, I don't think I have ever met service staff with such an amazing attitude, going out to serve to an extent you almost feel embarrassed being waited upon like that, and all done always with a smile on the face. Salim and Mukesh who also went with us down into the tea gardens where ladies were plucking leaves (it does take some effort to go down the hill the way they do!), Mukesh who went for the river Trek with us, Suparna and Akshay who served us during our meals, led by the Manager, Tauseef. We paid a price higher than listed on Cleartrip and the GM, Sanjoy Bannerjee, said that they don't honour Cleartrip bookings (or any online platform other than MakeMyTrip). Sounded fishy but I don't have a way of knowing.

Outstanding
Udaan himalyan hotel services is very excellent and staff are very cooperative,Room services is fantastic. Restaurant food was also very tasty . Thanks to Front Desk team for making our stay very special and memorable. BIG SHOUT OUT to Mr. Saroj, Ms. Anisha, Ujjwal and Abhinay.
The team at Siliguri Club ensured every detail was flawless, making the planning process seamless and stress-free. On the wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations, from the beautifully decorated ceremony area to the spectacular reception hall. Our guests raved about the delicious cuisine, impeccable service, and the overall ambiance. The in-house coordinators were always available and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Siliguri Club made our dream wedding a reality, and we will forever cherish the memories created here. Highly recommended!
Living in NE India, finding a warm-hearted place to stay while traveling is always our desire. We found it at Ramada Encore Siliguri. Lobby ambience was beautifully created, receptionist very warm, escorted us to our room, front doorman respectful in greeting us, dining attendees very mindful of our needs, maintenance staff responded well to our “heat-in-the-room need, rooms very well maintained, new, hallways warmly carpeted, room numbers lit up well, bakery in lobby lounge tasty, so many good things to share! It was a happy place for us!
KKAIFENGIn Darjeeling, it can be regarded as one of the best quality hotels. Although the surrounding area is very shabby, it is a small harbor, which is especially suitable for two people (because of the double breakfast). From Darjeeling Railway Station, drag the suitcase to the hotel for about 15 minutes. Young people are fine. It is only 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Peak Plaza. It is very convenient. There is a night market with stalls nearby. There was even a miniso, and I was drunk too, and the holiday brand that lost the Chinese face was flooding everywhere. The video was shot in the room with a time-lapse. In addition, free luggage storage is provided here, you can go for four or five days on foot, leave your luggage here, and pick it up later.
GGuest UserIt’s located next to Pradhan Nagar. Ideal place to stay for seeing doctors. Excellent breakfast. Good swimming pool located in 2nd floor of the hotel. Breakfast has plenty of varieties of food. Perfect and clean rooms. Everything well ***aged. Hygienic to stay during COVID time.

Best service comfortable good location calm nearby to the mall and very good food love the stay you must visit this place if u are travelling to siliguri if wanna have comfortable stay good spa as well loved every moment of stay here in sarovar
Stayed here for 2 nights. And I'll give the real picture. Good things first... 1) Room was perfect as per the amount I paid. Eventually, they upgraded me even before I asked for it. Room had all amenities one might need during a stay 2) Behaviour of the entire team is awesome. They served me with a smile... Every single time. And they never said NO for any of my requests. Now, few serious stuffs to look into.... 1) Location, which is 1 Km from Darjeeling Mal, While Keventers & Mahakal Chowk are 500 mts. And you don't get any view from the room 2) They have communication issues, perhaps language barrier. On Day-2 I requested to replenish the complimentary drinking water. But IRD team member arrived with packaged drinking water. But again, their behaviour is damn good. He took that back & catered to my actual request 3) This was troublesome. I was supposed to check out at 0730 Hrs. And my room was with breakfast. I informed the Front Desk about the scenario in the previous evening. The ever friendly lady at the desk confirmed me that although Breakfast won't be available at that time, but she'll send sandwiches for me which I was Ok with. But when I called the desk at 6AM in the morning, the guy was clueless. He paid a courtesy visit to the room & said the message of providing sandwiches wasn't passed to him.... Again communication laps Overall the hotel is good & recommended. But don't book your room with breakfast if you have early morning departure.
Stayed in family suite. Pros - The room is spacious and has good interiors. 2 TV sets, 2 bathrooms, a mini freezer (empty by default). A sitting area with sofa set and dining table. There is a electric kettle with tea/coffee kit and bathroom kit also provided. Food is tasty and good, reasonably priced, room service available. Cons - there is absolutely no window in the room. So they fitted 2 exhaust fans in the room for air circulation. I have not seen this anywhere. One of the bathroom had issues with water outlet, so the floor was getting waterlogged. It did not go away even after 12 hours. I attached photo. Some tiles were broken. Finally, for a railway transfer to NJP station which is just 5 km away, they charge Rs. 700/- for a cab. This is not a 4-star or 5-star property so that rate is too high for such a hotel.
GGuest UserPeaceful stay, the place who want to stay away from crowd. Food needs some improvement, also like other comparable hotels/ resorts breakfast should be in the form of buffet with more varieties, it is new property & may be started very soon.
