Nice room, nice food, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice bar, decent pool (heated and clean but needs revamping) and nice grounds. It was very quiet as it was New Year’s Day but they still charged £10 for an extra hour at checkout.. otherwise perfect stay.

I have been coming here for years and find this hotel one of the best in Hertfordshire. The grounds are stunning and the restaurants and lounge spaces are a pleasure to sit in. Staff are amazing and will always go above and beyond to help you Thank you

I had the misfortune to use this B&B some weeks ago, except that, I am not quite sure you can even call it a B&B. Instead, it is simply a chap, looking to make some extra money on his big house – whilst still wanting to retain the benefits that come with not opening your house to strangers, and paying ones at that. So, here is my warning to anyone interested in renting a room in Leafy Suburban Bed & Breakfast (LSBB). It is in effect a sort of scam that is misleading, and here is why. Do NOT even try and rent this property if… You like B&Bs that are fully transparent in their advertising and you get what you paid for courtesy of your hard earned money You (and anyone that comes with you) do not want to suffer the indignity and embarrassment of having to take off your shoes upon entry (stuff a private owner may demand of you but, a place, intended for public rental changing you also?). I wonder why this is not stated in the his glitzy ads? Because he knows, if he did, nobody would even look at his so-called B&B You want a bit of privacy when using the bathroom/toilet. LSBB advertises its nice looking bathroom/toilet on accommodation seeking websites. What they do not tell you is that, you’ll be sharing with several other tenants. In short, you will need to be dressed appropriately and have to peep out into the corridor each time you wish to use it, to ensure nobody else is using it You like to get what you pay for and get the little things that typically come with a B&B (such as cups or glasses perhaps, coffee making facilities perhaps, etc.). You do not get anything with LSBB – just a small room and nowt else! You want to be close to civilisation such as public transport and some shops maybe. This place is in the middle of nowhere and to even find the place, you had better have a degree in place finding. There are no signs on the long and badly lit road it is on. The lovely looking and spacious kitchen and garden (advertised) are nice, no doubt. However, they are largely for show. During my unfortunate stay there, at NO point was I invited to use either, and although I did not use the kitchen, I have since read on here that, its more one of, it’s all DIY (Do-it-Yourself) in this poor excuse for a B&B. Do not use this property also, if you want to be able to talk (at normal sound levels) in your room whether on the phone or to your companion. We were asked to keep our voice down, which I thought was rather rude. The prices he charges are even MORE than many quality hotels that offer 10 times better service. For one search, he was charging £64 a night whilst many hotels were either the same or less. In short, this is an owner wanting to have his cake and eat it. Someone wanting the best of both worlds. Charge the peasants to have a room in his sumptuous house and keep their money whilst, on the other hand, wanting all the benefits of a private house owner with NO visiting strangers. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with moden décor throughout. Our toom was on the second floor, and the room wasn't bad, clean with crisp white bed sheets. The hotel offers breakfast as an added charge. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately, I can't not remember the two staff members' names whilst staying there, but customer service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Really nice and clean. Great beds. Plenty of room. Good shower. Perfect location. Polite staff. Value for money. Close to Warner Brothers and shopping centre. We only stayed a night and hardly touched down but it was great. I will always wonder why every hotel puts out just two teabags though 🤣

Quick booking we arrived at 7pm had to check-in at the reception next door holiday inn very quick and smooth, was confused as its within the hotel itself and opened the doing to a beautiful spacious apartment we bought food from a local restaurant was lovely to eat and use the kitchen with a dishwasher too! The bed was huge but rock hard... the only thing we disliked was the stifling heat absolutely no air and no air conditioning whatsoever! There was a tower fan and a normal fan provided but didn't make any difference whatsoever although it was July it was torrential rain outside English weather so wasn't hot outside I had to have 3 showers and kept having to go outside during the night to get air , didn't have a comfortable sleep whatsoever and tge fans on all night long either side of the bed with the windows open only around a cm because that's as far as they would go, but if there was aircon this would of been my favourite stay ever ,the local shops restaurants and town centre is a 10 min walk away and parking is £8 per night even with a disability badge. Your able to use the facilities in hotel for food and drinks but we used the local restaurants nearby and used the fridge for our own bought alcohol because it was raining outside... staff was above and beyond.

My line manager had booked the room for me as my IHG account wasn’t approved yet by my GM and I was greeted by Zahr if I spelt that right, I do apologise if I’ve spelt that wrong, he was very friendly, he did his job by trying to figure out if I was an employee of holiday inn, which he did his checks and my information had come back correct, I left earlier that night and come back and I was still greeted with a friendly welcome from him. It’s been a pleasure to stay with the holiday inn, my room was cleaned to perfection and I’ve had no issues, Zahr deserves to be employee of the month if that’s a thing here. I really loved the stay. The shower room was nicely decorated and amazing to use. They had a nice setup for the room I.e the bed was comfortable, you could watch tv to pass the time, a kettle with amenities such as sugar/tea. The view outside was also beautiful. Overall I really felt relaxed and at home
