樓下酒吧餐廳，樓上及後院是房間，服務設施都還行，但是有些房間會比較吵，馬路和bar裏聊天的聲音，以及莫名其妙持續的不知道是什麼機器在運作的噪音。有點被圖片欺騙了…

We were visiting Talton Mill for a friend's special birthday and, we booked 3 rooms (2 coupes and 3 adults father and 2 sons), We stayed in the cream room, which had stunning views of the fields. We had instructions on how to let ourselves into the gpuse and individual rooms, so could arrive when we wanted to. As we were all arriving at different times. Al the rooms we booked were lovely. We were woken in the morning by the sheep, which was better than the usual alarm at home. Our continental breakfast was delivered outside our room at 8am, and we collected it on the trays provided to eat in the comfort of our room. There was plenty for all of us. Loads of fresh blueberries and strawberries. Talton Mill was literally 6 minutes' drive from here, and we had plenty of space in the car park. The owner was lovely and chatty, telling us all about the local area. Shower was hot and powerful, WiFi was also great. Would stay at this beautiful place again. Thank-you.

This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in my trip to England, very value! The room is large, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the facilities are complete, the parking is free, and the breakfast is superb! In fact, it should be an old manor transformation, the garden is super large, reminding me of Downton Manor. The little brother at the front desk is super humorous and has a rich expression.

Our second visit (see my more detailed revue September 2021). Delighted to have a good excuse to return. This time we brought friends, put them in the fabulous Village Room while we had Old Beam. Both rooms are at the front of the pub, looking out on a little village green and pretty cottages across the road. Almost no traffic. The Village Room has a sofa, armchair and a large bathroom with tub and shower over (as per my previous review), also plenty of natural light. Old Beam is a bit darker, has two armchairs instead of a sofa, and a shower, no tub. If I could choose I would prefer the Village Room. Nonetheless Old Beam is full of character and perfectly comfortable, and we were sad to have only two nights. Great value for money. The beautiful beer garden is still there and the food as good as ever. Fabulous breakfasts and gorgeous meals in the evening. Lovely decor, great service. Both the restaurant and bar get busy in the evening. Plenty of parking. Excellent location for visiting NT Hidcote (lovely gardens) and other North Cotswold attractions, and about 20 minutes to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Stayed for 1 night to ”get away from it all” and left exhausted we paid close to £200 for one night we placed in the coach house the room was nice when we first looked high ceilings and lovely window however after being in there a little while we noticed it was very dirty, there was a boiler in our room which must have supplied the block with hot water which noisily refilled throughout the night , my partner hardly slept at all, the spa facilities were also dirty and reminded me of a average public swimming baths, the decking was mouldy, there were so many missing tiles in the pool , the gym equipment was unsafe the bench press not being fixed to the ground , dinner was not a great experience , staff were very friendly but the starter that came out was completely different to what was described in the menus and actually inedible when we told the waitress she just ”oh sorry ” and took it away , We have emailed the hotel manager Herman to tell him how disappointed we were , but he hasnt responded

This hotel is well suited to the old phrase ‘fur coat, no knickers’. The main reception rooms are beautiful, but the actual accommodation leaves a lot to be desired. £229 felt like a huge sum of money for a random night in October, in a tatty room, with stains on the walls, chipped paint work that in places was more chip than paint, blackened grout in the bathroom, 1950s metal & single glazed prefab style windows and a door which looked as if it had been bust open at some point (nothing like making your guests feel safe). Also deciding to give the spa a swerve, on the basis that a quick look didn’t inspire much confidence, we were truly disappointed with this hotel & would not recommend it to anyone based on our experience. The stay was supposed to be a treat, but the decor is in dire need of a serious face lift. Interestingly, the person who checked us out did not ask if everything was satisfactory, or if we had enjoyed our stay. It was as if she knew it was a total rip off. For somewhere which oozes polished antique charm in its public rooms, Alveston Manor seemed somewhat hypocritical and grossly over-priced behind the scenes.
