Find the Cheap Blackburn Hotels

The room was clean. However there was no microwave and no plates or cutlery. The bathroom needs a working exhaust fan. The queen bed had only two pillows with one extra in the cupboard. The pillows were very flat and each person really needed two pillows. It was quite hot and we would have loved to sit by the pool but there was no shade. However we heard no road noise and enjoyed pleasant sleep.

I stayed in the appartments across the road for a work course. I arrived at 8am just to leave my car for the day (pre arranged) and my room was ready so I checked in. From the moment I checked in I had no issues. The lady at reception was friendly and said they upgraded me to a 2 bedroom apartment, although I was by myself I didn’t mind. Very spacious and clean. Car parking was great! Wifi was good. The bed was comfortable. The only suggestion would be a small TV in the bedroom would be good. Overall the 3 nights were great for what I needed, I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a business trip. Has been a great place to stay, nice English/European traditional decor and furniture, very clean room near to everything. Room has all the amenities: iron, ironing board, hair dryer, lots of towels, chairs, table, desk, arm chair, comfortable bedding and pillows, air conditioning, free wifi. Function rooms look great. Near shopping centres and restaurants

Facilities: Complete facilities and easy to use. Cleanliness: The room is clean and tidy. Environment: The room is bright and comfortable, and the viewing balcony can overlook the distant mountains and close views, which is refreshing. Service: The front desk staff is not on duty 24 hours a day, which is not very convenient for people who leave early and arrive late. Fortunately, Ms. Zhang Zhuo, who is in charge of guest room cleaning in this store, is very enthusiastic and provides considerate service. Not only does she keep the room clean and tidy, but knowing that we do not understand English, she patiently demonstrates and explains to us how to use several household appliances. Because we came to Australia to travel, we did not stay in hotels continuously for nearly a month, and we needed to store our luggage in the hotel at any time. Sometimes because we traveled early, the hotel front desk person had not yet gone to work, so Zhang Zhuo took the initiative to help us find a way to solve the problem. The front desk staff helped us with storage after work, which made us feel particularly warm and guaranteed our travel. We will continue to book this hotel in the future.

This property definitely has some positives. The price is cheap for an apartment and it's very close to Box Hill Central and pretty close to Box Hill Hospital. The staff were able to get us in to our room early which was also very handy. The negatives, the amenities feel cheap, the double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses pushed together, and the mattresses were very thin. The couch was the same it just felt cheap and poor quality. The other negative with this property was the odor in the corridor which smelt like a mixture of cigarettes and stale cooking smells, although within the apartment we were in there was no odor so that was a positive. If you need somewhere for a short stay in and around Box Hill this property is quite ok, but be realistic about what you are expecting at the price point

We booked a superior two bedroom for 3 adults and one kid for 6 nights. Overall was good, more like self service hotel, if you need to arrange someone to clean your room, you will need to pay extra Aud 20 each time. The price was reasonable with such a spacious room, nice city view and facilities were pretty good. Will book again if I go to Melbourne again with family.

There is no kitchen. It is more like a domestic express hotel. The bed is more comfortable, but there is no washing machine and dryer. It is OK if you are a couple, but not recommended if you are traveling with a family.

Yes, the room is a little dated but it's very well priced so not an issue. Booked the room via booking.com ... but first rang the lodge to see if they could match the rate so they'd get all the income. However, they wouldn't ... go figure. Stayed five nights at the last minute (husband suddenly in hospital). No weddings on so parking was easy. Gardens are quite lovely and at night they're very pretty with fairy lights. I was really comfortable, felt safe, had plenty of space to move and put my gear, car park right outside, quiet spot (amazingly) and good snoozy bed. Loved being able to watch TV from a sofa (rather than a bed) and I used the desk to draw or use my laptop. Also had a spacious bench to make breakfast or snacks. Getting in and out of the motel onto the main road was easy (school hols so roads are much less crowded). It's a solid half hour walk to the nearest train station and a pleasant (although somewhat noisy) stroll. There's also a bus along Middleborough Rd going to Box Hill station which would be worth looking at . However I worked out where to park close by Laburnum station without paying, so was relatively easy to get into the city and back without needing to take out a parking mortgage. Reception staff pleasant. Didn't use breakfast facilities, air conditioning or wifi, not that I was provided with a password. Every time I needed access, it was after reception closed so gave up. Definitely stay here again when we need accommodation in the east. Was very happy. Keep your expectations realistic and you'll be fine.

There is a tram 75 to the Melbourne CBD near the hotel. The train station is far from the hotel and it takes 30 minutes to walk. There is a large supermarket near the hotel and shopping is very convenient. There is a parking lot. No breakfast, good health, very quiet, good service.
