This little hotel is very modern and a nice place. We booked a private double room. The only complaint I can think of is that at 9 o'clock in the morning, when we were still trying to sleep in, the cleaners came in to clean the room! It would be nice to have a Do Not Disturb sign or have a cleaner knock on the door before entering. The location of the hotel is great, only a 5-minute walk from Memorial Bridge and restart mall. When you truly understand this city and then visit it, you will find how strong the emotional color of the whole city is. This hotel is perfect as a base.

Perfect location for exploring on foot. Apartments are very well-equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils. Handy to have washer and dryer too. A bonus was the dishwasher. I had a studio unit on the 6th floor which was warm, light and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Studio very quiet with no traffic or guest noise. Good lighting for reading and sewing - definitely not always the case in accommodation. Supermarkets, shops, galleries, Botanical gardens etc. all within walking distance. Reception and housekeeping staff were very professional, helpful, polite and friendly. Ahmed, on the front desk, was excellent.

Hello Ibis Christchurch Manager, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my appreciation for the wonderful setting and location of your hotel during my stay on Jul 23rd. The Central Business district location, coupled with the fantastic array of shopping and dining options mere meters away, truly made my experience enjoyable. I must commend your front desk team for their warm and friendly service throughout my stay. They were attentive and accommodating, making me feel welcome and valued as a guest. However, I regret to share that my experience with the housekeeping teams left me feeling disappointed. My Friend and I had made a specific and personal request, both directly with the housekeeping staff and through the front desk, to have our room cleaned during our stay. Unfortunately, upon returning to our room, we were shocked to find a ”do not disturb” tag hanging on the door, indicating that the room had not been attended to. I understand that errors can occur in any establishment, and I believe this was a process oversight rather than a deliberate neglect. Nevertheless, I felt the need to bring this matter to your attention. These small irritants can have a lasting impact on a guest's experience, and I sincerely hope that your management will take this feedback constructively to prevent such incidents in the future. I truly enjoyed my overall stay at your hotel, but I believe that addressing such issues will elevate your services to an even higher level of excellence. I stayed at this hotel again principally because it is an Accor property in the CBD (as I am an ALL Platinum) - but that is really about it. The hotel is passable for what one expects of a Novotel, but it is getting quite dated and the carpet stains in the room are too pointed a reminder of the hotel's age. The bed is soft and the generous number of pillows and cushions make for a very comfy night in. While it is in the CBD, it is a fair walk from most places of note in the city. Since my previous visit, the reception staff have improved in service and manner. I was disappointed that as I left a shirt in my room's cupboard, I had to call a few times to follow up on its search as the promised return call did not come until I called again (the shirt was never found). What is most disappointing is the restaurant. While the quality of the food is acceptable, it is quite overpriced for Christchurch and the restaurant's setting. Despite only having a handful of tables for dinner, I had to approach the wait staff when I wanted a table, to order, get a drink, or receive the check. Similarly, the bar staff are not as proactive as one may expect to come to tables and take drink orders, even when one is the only patron at the bar. My biggest complaint is the breakfast. On one of the mornings I even had to set my own table. Empty juice dispensers are not refilled for quite some time; the only eggs served are scrambled, the only non-meat ”hot” offering are potatoes and beans. Perhaps there is is a concern that some patrons are allergic to tomatoes, green leaves, salad, vegetables, and mushrooms? After two nights I moved to another hotel in Christchurch and am much happier.

Comfortable hotel in Heart of City. Booked a room using points as a Gold Elite. Requested quiet room and was appointed 3rd floor over traffic lights so receptionist kindly moved me to a room on opposite side. It was quiet however the walls are thin and I can hear a lot of noise this morning - a lot of noise. Room service eggs were excellent, as was bar service last night. They know how to make a good drink. I was a bit annoyed as mini bar knocked this am and said she thought there was “no one in the room” whilst I was on a call. Not so professional. Can recommend as a good hotel in Christchurch (I’ve stayed in quite a few)

Accomodation is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Second time staying, last visit was 5 years ago. This time we stayed with our 2 young children. Advertised as having ‘air-conditioning’ which one would assume was heating. There was nothing like an air-conditioning unit in our 2 bedroom apartment. A small fan heater plugged into the wall was all. Not ideal with small children. Dangerous and also our apartment was freezing - especially being June. Thankfully beds were warm and comfortable and an extra blanket was provided for both bedrooms. Door to bedroom 2 was locked with a key from the outside. Which meant we had to call reception after one of us shut the bedroom door and couldn’t get back in. Staff attended immediately which was great, they were able to unlock the door however door knob was jammed which meant you could not shut the bedroom door or you would be locked in or out again. Had to place a bag at the door to ensure it wouldn’t be shut. Otherwise it’s a convenient place to stay. If you care about aesthetics it’s a little dated and bathroom grout is a bit mouldy.

Room was very comfortable and clean. good facilities. TV was amazing. Lots to choose from on it. Microwave for cooking supplied. Fridge also. Washing facilities if required and all Free! Staff were amazing. So very accommodating. Listening to all your needs and running with all your requirements. Very friendly team. Beds are very comfortable. Situated within walking distance of hospital and lots of places to eat around as well. A mall is not far away. Prices to stay were excellent.

Just by the road, not far from the airport. Check-in is simple, just report the name, free parking, good front desk service, delivered a box of milk, recommended a good local western restaurant, not too far from the western restaurant, supermarket, the supermarket is near the Chinese district, but the supermarket is 19 o’clock It closes around. The room is not big, there is no closet, there is not much place to put clothes, it is clean, there are cooking, bath supplies, towels, no slippers, coffee, shower nozzles are not very watery
