The Bealey Quarter

This hotel is very good. Big room and there is a car park. Close to Christchurch city centre.There is a space behind the room. This hotel only about 12km from the airport.

I had a bad experience here before, but this time it was much better. The location is good and very convenient.

My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

A decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.

Good priced hostel overall, but the kitchen is really small for the capacity of the hostel. Only one oven, 3 stove tops, only 5 forks(you read it right 5 forks, 5 spoons, and 100 knives). 3 fridges that area always full, no real lounge area and as a conclussion no much socializing. Only two shower heads off 6 had good pressure, the rest were more pissing (at the 2nd floor bathrooms). On the good side, the beds are comfortable. Overall ok for a quick stop in Christchurch.

The rooms is nice. Good location for wandering to the city. Definitely worth it.

The Bealey Quarter is located in a quiet area but it is about 25 minutes walk to the City Centre. Breakfast was basis with cereals, toast, danish and fresh fruit.

It’s relatively keeping clean and not noisy. In terms of the building, it looks like new. Only one thing that I didn’t like is too far from the inter city bus stop. All in all, I like the place.
