They need to be upfront that this is not a functioning hotel at the moment. It is “under construction” with renovations. It’s dirty, but the main issue is that there is one working elevator, and right after we got there, it stopped working. After struggling to find the stairs, and walking up 12 flights to get to my room. I thought, “If there was a fire or any emergency, we wouldn’t make it out of here.” So, I called the front desk, explained that we wanted to leave, and they were understanding. They gave me a refund, and we left. It truly does not feel like this hotel should be open until they get some things sorted out. For the same price, we were able to get a room at a much much nicer hotel across the street.
