The Study at the University of Chicago

We enjoyed our stay. The best part were the employees. Very pleasant, always smiling and ready to be of assiatance. The restaurant breakfast was served fast and hot. You could not acessed the rooms without scanning your key card in the elevator so the security was good. I would visit again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Study! Great boutique hotel located conveniently to UChicago. The restaurant is great and the interiors are charming and well designed. The fitness facilities were nice and spacious. We had a beautiful view of the campus and would highly recommend if you need a location close to UChicago!

I stayed at The Study for 2 1/2 weeks following total knee replacement surgery at UChicago Medicine (I am from out of town and needed to do initial recuperation in Chicago). I had family here for the first week who also stayed at The Study. The staff was incredibly kind, understanding, and went out of their way to inquire about me and my needs. They provided me with a succession of ice packs for my knee and bottles of cold water. Fortunately, my recovery was rapid (my UChicago surgeon was super). My stay for the last several days was a pleasant vacation. Desk staff, including Kenya and Demark stood out as especially helpful, but every single staff member went above and beyond to be supportive. The chief from the hotel restaurant came over to where I sat in the lobby to inquire as to how I was doing. Staff is close and enthused about their jobs. The hotel is super clean and modern. I look forward to returning to The Study to meet my good friends among the staff for another visit to my Alma Mater when my knee has healed. My family, who stayed for the first week, also had highly positive views on their stay.

Beautiful hotel, great rooms, nice views, lovely staff. So much green space. The restaurant is nice. The campus is magical. Great experience end-to-end.

The front desk staff were super friendly, which made for a great first impression. Our room was lovely—clean, modern, and minimalist in style. We had dinner at Truth Be Told, and it was excellent! I didn’t get a chance to use the gym this time. The location is perfect for visiting UChicago, with plenty of free street parking nearby. I chose to park in the garage behind the hotel, just to be on the safe side for overnight parking. PS: there is a nice cafe nearby - next to the Robbie House.

This was an excellent and very pretty hotel. I stayed her for a conference and found the staff to be incredibly helpful and professional. The common areas are beautifully designed and the rooms are streamlined, light-filled, and spacious. The hotel restaurant was delicious too.
