Family-friendly Hotels in Chiayi County

Room is spacious, clean and well equipped with toiletries. Walking distance from Shouzhen temple when we asked for direction to Sacred Tree Station back to hotel. There is even shuttle bus from Zhushan station back to hotel but not FOC which we are not aware of. We’re pleased that we can have refund(not full amt) on train ticket and pay for the shuttle bus service. Hotel price is on the high side. Would have stayed one more night to spend more time on forest trails.

Watching the sea of clouds, sunset, sunrise, hiking along Mianyue line, and walking on the routes of the Forest Recreation Area at or from this Hotel, very likely is your best choice when visiting Alishan National Forest Recreation Area.

Location: excellent! It is near to the park entrance, 7-11 and restaurants (less than 5 mins walk). Room: Small but clean. Other reviewers mentioned about sewage smell from the toilet. It is true and we suspect it is due to the wet floor (my daughter slashed water on the floor accidentally). There isn’t any smell when we keep the floor dry. There is a bathtub made of tiles but won’t suggest u have a soak in it as it is looks relatively dirty and tiles bath tub is not the easiest to clean if u want to clean thoroughly the space between tiles! Do note that there is no hot water from 11am-4pm , room heater is turned on when temp drops to 10’degrees. It gets pretty cold when it rains and hence, do bring a jacket. It was rainy days and the temp hits 16-17 degrees and lower should u wish to see the sunrise at Alishan. Amenities: basic amenities in sachets and slippers are provided (very thin slippers). Service: the counter staffs are not the most friendly. They are not rude and will answer your questions. They are generally helpful. The cleaning staff was more polite and friendly as we requested for dry towels (we stayed 2 nights and did not request for room cleaning but needed fresh dry towels). There is a shuttle service to drive u to the Alishan bus station to catch the bus back to chiayi. Do inform the hotel staff earlier. Otherwise u will need to walk to the bus stop , perhaps a 10-15mins walk with your luggage and I think it is a slope Food: breakfast is at the plaza, less than 5 mins from hotel. The shop staff will dish out the dishes for u as requested. There are porridge, noodles, vegs, buns, coffee , preserved pickles/nuts etc to go with the porridge . For lunch and dinner, u can eat at the restaurants around selling Zi char eg fried rice/noodles/chicken/beef etc or hot pots. I would love to eat hotpot in the cold weather but husband is not a fan of hot pot. Personally I find the food too salty for my liking. Alternatively you can grab bento or cup noodles or bread from 7-11. Suggestion: pack some warm clothes, prepare your own slippers/amenities if u are more particular of the quality of the products . Can bring along a water bottle for the walking trials and to refill the bottles! They have water dispensers at each floor.

The road around the hotel is empty, and opposite is the South Yard of the Forbidden City and the Parent-Child Farm. There are few shops around, and there are Japanese restaurants around that have a high CP value. If there are many people, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. There is a 7-11 around the corner of the hotel for convenient last-minute shopping. Guests can park for free in the basement of the hotel. Just go downstairs, park, and tell your license plate when you check-in at the counter. The lobby is bright and bright, and the front desk staff are friendly. They were assigned to a side room on a high floor that day, although it does not face the south side of the Forbidden City. The courtyard has a wide view and is quiet and not noisy at night. The interior of the room is clean and tidy. The air conditioner does not get hot or cold. It is an environmentally friendly accommodation, so no toothpaste or toothbrush is provided. Other supplies include towels, bath towels, hair dryers, tea bags, etc. You can enjoy free drinks in the refrigerator and snacks on the table. The TV is a MOD channel. , it’s a pity that you can’t directly play videos on the mobile projection screen (you need to use an HDMI cable to connect separately). The bed is moderately soft and hard, and the pillows come in a set of soft and hard ones. The bathroom is separate, with a flush toilet seat. The bathtub is large, and you can use it on the same day. It’s a great pleasure to take a bath with powder. To use other public facilities, you need to register in front of the counter on the third floor. The overall feeling is comfortable and diverse, but it would be better if the sauna can be used for free! Breakfast the next day is in the cafe on the second floor. There are many types of meals, including Chinese, Western and Japanese. In addition to the basic bread, there are multi-grain flavors. The peanut sesame paste among the jams is Chiayi’s own brand, rich and delicious. Chiayi cold noodles, Local snacks such as chicken rice and duck soup are available for guests to use themselves. The overall stay experience is very good :)

All aspects are above the standard. If you come to the South Palace Museum, it is very suitable for living. It takes more than five minutes to drive. I will come here next time and it is convenient to go to Parkzi.

Oriental Pearl Hotel is located about 10 kilometers away from National Highway No. 3. After getting off the highway, you can have a bowl of chicken. Parking is available outside the hotel, and there is a FamilyMart convenience store next to it, which is convenient for eating at night. The hotel room is not very large, but it is neat and comfortable and in good condition. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, the Chinese stir-fry dishes are quite good. Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel if you want to go to the scenic area of ​​Alishan.

The location of the hotel is only within ten minutes from Renyitan Reservoir. The room (4 people room, 2 double beds) is spacious and equipped. It is suitable for small families. The comfortable mattress can lie down at ease and the lighting is bright. From the window, you can overlook the green mountains. From time to time, there are mountains and clouds, as if in a fairyland, after eating, leisurely walk on the Renyitan Bading Trail near the hotel, 1.5 kilometers of trails are straight and spacious, from the top of the dam to overlook the rural scenery of Panlu Township, there is an unspeakable pleasure and comfort in my heart. The evening breeze is caressing on the face, enjoying the quietness away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a short life of small luck, it is lingering!

Was there for friend’s birthday weekend gateway. We were warmly welcomed by Burton and Jakub (the GM), nicely decorated room with Tsou tribal touches. We were lucky to join their very first rough top pool party, and witnessed the lovely sunset, moon rise and sunrise. Due to limited dining venues nearby, we decided to stay and dine at their one and only restaurant….. semi buffet with great selection and free flow wine. For those who don’t need to drive they have sparkling wine served at breakfast hours 😂

Meiyuanlou Landscape Hotel ~ very close to the faucet viewing sunrise platform, this is their ㄧ big advantage, except this, very general! Hotel room ㄧ so-so, cold winter day, no heater is provided, you can borrow electric blankets, but single electric blankets, very narrow ㄧ! Hot water took over the project to improve, so I opened more than ten minutes of hot water to take a hot bath! Meals ㄧ like, dinner group meals - actually steamed fish first, wait for everyone to eat enough, only to go to Dongpo meat (this order of dishes is also very strange)~ Breakfast buffet style, also ㄧ like, the hall sells a lot of agricultural products, but they are very expensive~~
