The first time I came to Shumei, the room type we lived in was simple, but the indoor lighting was bright and it felt good. But only the shower has no bathtub to take a bath ⋯ I don't know why the mobile phone signal here is very poor, and the WiFi message in the room is also very slow. There are movies to watch on TV, and it rained heavily after check-in. It was not bad to watch two movies.

The location is great. Food, accommodation, and travel are all available here. Walking to the Bie Me Shang Shu and the South Yard of the Forbidden City is enough for a day of fun. The hotel overall feels comfortable, from the lobby to the facilities to the rooms. The beds are oversized and the bedding and bathtubs are of high quality. The breakfast is pretty average, but the beef soup and turkey rice are quite special, and there are many types of bread, all of which are great. The room is located in the south courtyard of the Forbidden City on the 13th floor. The view is amazing, you can enjoy it at night and during the day.

I booked accommodation for a temporary business trip. The location is opposite the South Courtyard of the Forbidden City. If you want to visit, it is very close. There is a parent-child game room on each floor, which is suitable for bringing children to have fun. The room I live in is diagonally opposite the water dispenser, and the sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of other tenants using the water dispenser outside the door, and you can also hear the clear cry of a child in the corridor at around 6 o'clock in the morning. But the overall accommodation experience is very good👍There is a large parking lot (free parking at the accommodation)🅿️It takes a little detour to find the entrance. There is a supermarket near the entrance of the hotel, and there is a Japanese restaurant nearby that is so delicious that you have to queue up (reservation is not possible)

This is my first stay at this hotel but I love it. At the first sight, I didn’t think this is a hotel as it is packed with people enjoying their railroad bento boxes. In fact, it is a gem for many reasons. First, it is conveniently located on the “old street”, where souvenir shopping, train station and restaurants are all within walking distance. Secondly, the rooms are very unique. There are two wings for the hotel. Wing A has all the rooms in the Japanese style, even with the wooden bath tub, Japanese style bedding, tea table etc. The hotel is so environmental conscious that the interior design of the rooms use a lot of wood and bamboo. Though there is water boiler in the room, it is better to go to the front desk to get the boiling spring water to make tea. Thirdly, the hotel has complimentary tour guide services. The tour guide is a local lady who proudly lives in Fengqihu and knows the town in and out. I ventured out to see the forest, bamboo and firefly. In fact she also works as a volunteer at the local tourist information center. She really loves the nature and passionate to share stories while reminding us to appreciate but not destroy the beautiful nature. Fourthly, the hotel offers a lot of freebies such as a bento box as lunch, dinner in the basement and breakfast coupon from Seven Eleven on the 2nd Floor. It also has great Taiwan tea and fast internet. With all these, how don’t I fall in love with this hotel?

This time, I chose the luxury room type in Alishan Indigo to spend a wonderful birthday for my wife. First of all, there is nothing to say about the service and facilities. They are all five-star scale. There are too many good reviews. It should be the place that needs improvement. I list a few problems below 1. Cleanliness needs to be improved. First of all, after the car stopped and landed, there was a large brown oil stain in the parking lot, just next to my parking space. This oil stain was still there until I checked out. Before I checked out, I heard that there were other people who had just checked in. Remind the passenger to the counter (meaning that there is no perfect awareness of the cleanliness of the environment, which does not meet the standard of a five-star hotel) Next, in the corner of the balcony of the room, I found that a cigarette butt had not been disposed of. This is a bit exaggerated, and this is really completely unacceptable. 2. We did not inform passengers about the room type in advance. We chose a luxury room type that costs NT$15,000 per night on weekdays. There is a floor-to-ceiling window in front of the double bed in the room. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the photo of the room type should face the mountain view. When I checked in When I open the floor-to-ceiling windows, I see an industrial road with cars, people, and wild dogs on the road. The distance is less than 50 meters, which means that there is no privacy at all when I open the curtains. I only found out after I informed the counter that this The room types are all facing this industrial road (feeling a bit fooled). I originally wanted to downgrade to a boutique room, but there was no room type with a double bed that day. 3. The quality of the dinner, Alishan Indigo only has one restaurant to choose from, the unit price is 3000 yuan per person + 10% service charge, the unit price is quite high, the ingredients are not bad, the restaurant decoration is very general, unlimited red and white wine Drink freely (red and white wine is not very good), there are few self-service choices, only about a dozen choices, the point is that during the meal that day, there were actually a few flies flying in the self-service ingredients area, and after telling the waiter, I only got ”Because it was cleaned up today Water pipes, without any gestures to comfort the guests, I think it is very inferior to the standard of dinner at this price. Summary The scenery of the facilities is really good There are many features in the room, just solve the cleanliness problem Privacy issues in deluxe rooms should be confirmed with passengers in advance The environment, catering and price of the dinner really need to be improved

In the middle of the tea garden, the scenery is excellent, the room facilities are novel, heating, and the breakfast is good, it is worth the night!

The location was really good and i think it is good value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are okay...sound-proofing could be better as you can really hear the conversation of other hotel guests talking along the corridor. Within walking distance from the bus station and the forest train station. But overall, a rather pleasant stay.

There were several areas where I felt the service and amenities could be improved. Firstly, lack of a lift and the need to climb up to level 4 was challenging, especially with heavy luggage. Additionally, the counter staff I encountered during check-in were unfriendly and did not provide a welcoming atmosphere. Another issue was lack of security measures for guests' belongings. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that there were no numbered tags provided for luggage left in the lobby, which could have potentially resulted in items being lost or stolen. While the gentleman who assisted us with our request for extra pillows was helpful, I was disappointed to find that our room was cleaned without any notice the next day morning before check out. We had planned to return to the room after our breakfast and were surprised to find that the cleaning staff had already cleaned up the room without informing us. If our value belonging were still inside the room when it was cleaned. Who will takes responsibility for any lost or stolen items in such situations.

For the price you'd think they'd spend some of their huge profits on upkeep of the rooms. The bathroom was full of mould, the bathtub had been siliconed to the walls, but have pulled away. The entire bathroom needs renovating. The bedroom was on a very badly installed floating floor. There were electrical wires hanging loose from the night stand. The WiFi and set top box were jamed between the TV and wall. The lights didn't work properly, one flicking for minutes afyer the switch was off. The walls are super thin and guests should be reminded to be courteous of other guests, as I was woken at midnight by loud talking and laughing which didn't stop until 230am, and I was getting up at 345am for sunrise. The owner/reception needs to learn manners and how to operate a hotel, because (1) leave a note in English that when reception is unattended to go next door, (2) don't deny early check-in with the pretence the rooms weren't ready, because I checked all on the ground floor and all were ready, plus when I finally got to my room at 5pm the floor was wet in the bathroom and bedroom. (3) Learn some manners, which seems odd in Taiwan as everyone is well mannered, so maybe that's why her attitude stood out so much as she's surrounded by well mannered people. (4) Understand that travellers want peace of mind for left luggage, do at least pretend to make it secure. The room door was damaged both inside and near the lock on the outside. Provide a bathmat, well a few, coz the bathroom flooded so easily.
