Hotels in Wenshu Monastery/Longhu Shangcheng Sky Street, Chengdu

It was my very first experience with a Chinese hotel and I did enjoy my stay there a lot. It’s located in a pedestrian zone next to Wenshu monastery with a lot of food and shopping options nearby. In the night the area gets rather empty, so the guests should not worry about the street noise. Metro station is about 7-10 min away. I loved the traditional Chinese courtyard architecture of the hotel, the breakfast was nice, primarily Chinese with a couple of western food options as well. Quite appreciated the stuff, they were very helpful and spoke English fluently which is not always a default in China.

This hotel is a total steal for travelers! Its prime location offers easy access to nearby attractions. The front desk's handy DIY travel guide map is a lifesaver – you can follow it to avoid getting lost. The bright lobby feels cozy, and the staff's attentive service is a real plus. The best part? Don't miss out Huaxiting Seafood buffet dinner at 198 yuan, over 60 at 158 yuan. The hotel automatically sends you an electronic invoice when you check out, saving you the hassle of waiting. With such great value for money, I'll definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely kind, the room was very comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. There was one day that we were going to leave before breakfast, and the hotel accommodated us and allowed us to have hot breakfast early. We would definitely recommend staying here in Chengdu, and if we were ever back — we would definitely stay again! We wished we could have stayed longer.

A nice stay spoiled on the last night. The water in my room stopped running on the last night of my stay. Couldn't flush my toilet when I'd just used it, couldn't wash my hands, couldn't shower, and couldn't brush my teeth. It was too late and inconvenient for me to move rooms so I had to shower elsewhere. This was just a disaster, there's no other way to put it. So your experience with the amenities may vary. Apart from that this is a nice hotel in a good location.

I recently spent four nights at Louise Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. The service stood out from the very beginning; staff members were consistently helpful, accommodating, friendly, and polite, which created a welcoming and stress-free atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. My room was clean, modern, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. One of the highlights was having my own private pool, which added a luxurious and relaxing touch to the stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, allowing for restful nights, and the amenities provided were of great quality. While the overall experience was excellent, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The location is not as central as I would have preferred, meaning I had to travel a bit to reach restaurants and shopping areas. In addition, breakfast was not included, so I was unable to enjoy it at the hotel and had to rely on takeout. Despite these small issues, Louise Hotel exceeded my expectations. It offers remarkable service, affordable rates, and modern, comfortable rooms that make it an outstanding choice for travelers. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cost-effective yet memorable hotel experience.

The facilities are excellent and meticulously maintained. Rooms boast smart control systems, high-thread-count linens, and rainforest showers – the amenities are truly impeccable. The gym is outstanding, often quiet and uncrowded. However, its core appeal lies in its service. The staff are well-trained, genuinely warm, and possess a perfect sense of discretion. The overall experience far exceeds that of hotels in the same category, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travel.

Amazing customer service proficient in Chinese and English! Upgraded our single rooms to double room for free and was welcoming for a late 1am check-in time. Very clean and modern rooms with a delicious breakfast buffet. Staff willing to make coffee for us each morning, free umbrellas, a small garden courtyard to wind down, probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for this price range! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city but away from busy streets, tucked in near a temple and side street eateries yet only a 10 min taxi to popular attractions. One flaw: No designated car park for taxi. Have to walk 20 metres to a side street, not a big deal but please be aware as it might be hard to find. There is a sign but we didn’t notice at 1am haha. It was a great trip to Chengdu, though for 4 days only. My stay in hotel 西遊里 is satisfactory. It is nearby a MTR station. The hotel lobby is beautifully designed with enough spaces and comfortable. Complimentary coffee and fruits provided there. The room is spacious, new and AI control for all amenities in room.. Good services at front desk, easily communicated with them by wechat. The room is cleaned well as well. All in all, satisfactory stay.

I was very pleased with this stay. Firstly, the front desk team promptly addressed my needs. Having stayed at this hotel many times in Chengdu, I particularly appreciate its excellent location, which is incredibly convenient for both public transport and taxis. Secondly, the hotel consistently upgrades my room. Having a suite with a small living room is incredibly convenient, especially for longer stays. I sincerely hope they can maintain this high standard. It will undoubtedly be my top choice whenever I visit Chengdu in the future.

For our family's self-driving trip, we booked two twin rooms. Fortunately, one of them was upgraded to a panda-themed family room due to a booking system glitch. Even before we arrived, the concierge proactively contacted us to confirm our arrival time, which was a very thoughtful touch. **Location**: It's a tranquil oasis nestled in an alley near the old Baima Temple site, reminiscent of a traditional *machiya* I once stayed in Tokyo. We parked our car in the backyard, and the staff even brought our luggage to the lobby. **Ambiance**: The dry landscape garden in the courtyard is both exquisite and grand, incorporating all my personal favorite design elements. The lobby entrance and front desk feature beautiful walnut wood decor. The staff are all incredibly gentle and professional young women, dressed in elegant, uniform new Chinese-style robes. Their attention to detail is evident everywhere, right down to the fresh lotus flowers and pods in the vases. **Service**: During check-in, we were offered refreshing cold brew white tea, with its delightful floral aroma and coolness. Our family room was on the second floor, and the twin room on the first. We had quite a bit of luggage—five or six suitcases—all of which the staff kindly helped us carry to our rooms. The rooms are simply and tastefully decorated, combining understated elegance with high quality. They feature high-end fixtures like Kohler faucets and rain showerheads, and the family room even came equipped with Jellycat toys. After checking in, we went out for dinner. While waiting for our car in the courtyard, the staff suggested we wait inside the lobby. However, we preferred to sit outside, and noticing this, they thoughtfully brought us mosquito repellent, concerned about insects. This small gesture truly made us feel even more cared for. Upon check-in, each room received two packets of tea – one black tea and one jasmine – which we enjoyed with the complementary tea set. It was perfect for a calming late-night drink after a meal that was a bit too spicy and salty. In the evening, they had sweet soup reserved for us, which was delivered to our rooms past 11 PM. We received four bowls of delicious, sweet, and refreshing mung bean soup. It was so good, though there was so much we couldn't finish it all, which was a shame! Overall, despite only staying for one night, I would absolutely choose to stay here again on future trips to Chengdu and wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and family.
