We had an excellent one-night stay at Mercure Chengdu Chunxi. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms Yuki at the front desk, who not only handled our check-in efficiently but also went the extra mile to recommend a good local restaurant for lunch and suggested nearby places of interest such as Kuan Zhai Alley. She also helped us understand the travel distance to Tianfu International Airport, which was very helpful for planning our departure.
As we were heading for a morning visit to the Panda Base the next day, we were pleasantly offered a late check-out, which made our schedule much more comfortable.
The breakfast at the 30th floor was a highlight: delicious with a good spread and a fantastic view.
The hotel’s location is also very convenient, especially with easy access to Chengdu East Railway Station.
Overall, a short but truly enjoyable stay with great service, convenient amenities, and excellent hospitality. Value for money and highly recommended.

This place is on the river, right next to the nightclub and bar areas of lan kwai fong and jiuyanqiao. They're very bustling areas late into the night every night so you will hear some bass but it's not unbearable (and I'm a light sleeper who's sensitive to noise). Also the hotel provides earplugs.
The hotel is also walking distance from the shopping areas, chunxi lu, taikooli and IFS as well as some cute residential areas, scenic streets and night food streets.
I booked the riverside room and the view of the bridge and river was gorgeous both day and night, just like in the picture. Overall the room was comfortable but as others have noted the building it's in is definitely shabby and the floor in the room itself could benefit from a deep clean.
I was also surprised that there were no usb-a outlets and I hadn't brought a plug with me so I went to mini so and bought one for 20 yuan. But would be nice if the hotel provides that.
One nice perk was the daily coffee included in my room, it was actually not bad coffee and would cost a lot to buy at a cafe. Also the foot soak tub was nice.

Not sure why the hotel needs a different name when the lobby and reception is under its main hotel. Makes it confusing. Also it is quite a walk to what is actually the annex building. However, the location is very good. The staff are nice and helpful. I did find my room dusty and there’s a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. We aired the room, came back and the smell was still there throughout our stay. Found one of the towels had a stain as well…

The location is very good, close to the city center. The place is relatively quiet due to a secluded location (as in the name of the hotel). The staff is very polite and competent, fluent communication in english possible with some of the staff (others will help using translator and they are also helpful). We were catched there in a pouring rain but the experience was very pleasant with the sound of water droplets and smell of wet grass. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat full breakfast due to leaving very early but it is possible to get a breakfast bag from the reception desk. There is even a car, which can take you to the Chengdu Great Panda Breeding Base. The hotel was renovated - the bathrooms are new and well-equipped. Although rather not as clean as other hotels we visited (stains on the toilet side wall, limescale/mold in the newly renovated shower).

There is 3 Atour hotel within range of 2km so please make sure you got the full address before hop on the cab. Their laundry service is free, and got extra detergent and anti bacterial to use. The hotel only got 1 working lift due to construction reason and they got mini robot help to deliver food and stuff, so convenient so advanced, good job China

The location is excellent being opposite Chunxi Road and IFS, around 15 minutes walk. There are many eateries and restaurants, and few convenience stores located around the hotel. Service is prompt and staff are generally friendly. There is also a variety of food selection for hotel breakfast.
It would be good if they provide a shelf to store toiletries in the shower room for guests who bring their own toiletries. For those who dont, the hotel does provide shampoo and shower foam for use.
It's a hotel that I will recommend families and friends to stay in Chengdu.

I would say i picked this hotel is my smart move. The location excellent! MRT train station nearby within 5-10 mins walking distance. The train line (line2) can go direct to Taikuli and Chun Xi Road where the climbing panda and 3d tv is. Travel to one end of this line 2 can change to Dujiangyan. Hence the location is convenient for using local public transport. Few places of attractions nearby - Wide Narrow Alley, Renmin Park, Kuixinlou Street. Local eateries opposite or nearby this hotel. You can have cheap n good local food by crossing the road.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They have done up a short map indicate how to travel from the hotel. They are resourceful and able to advise you how and where to the places of interest. This is first hotel I encountered their laundries are free. You can morning time pass them your dirty clothings and collect back at night. The cleaners of my room very understanding and observant. I have bought extra mineral bottles from convenient shop. In the next few days, they gave us extra mineral water for us to consume.
I like to thanks the reception staff 三毛； 李骏宇 n 邹登清. They have given us lots of advises and help during our stay.
So many good feedback on the hotel, here are some design issues on the hotel
1. There is no lightings in the staircase. Can’t imagine when there is emergency situation in the night, not sure how to see the route fo escaping.
2. The toilet design lack of consideration. No clothes hanger on the wall. The sharp edge of the shower side will make you painful if your feet accidentally hit on it. I think the interior designer of the hotel room needs to wake up that not to focus just on outlook, also to deep look into the practical use.

GGuest User”Create the wilderness in the south, stay humble and return to the countryside”, the name is full of poetry and picturesqueness, but I went there because of the zero negative reviews. I thought what kind of B&B makes everyone like it so much that I can't bear to leave negative reviews. Stayed for one night and it was a really different experience. Simple, ancient style, ancient charm and a bit of Zen. If you wander around the courtyard for nothing, you will find a lot of ingenuity, such as throwing pots, shooting arrows, teasing the parrot that can only bark but cannot speak, and writing calligraphy; you can also watch Meditate, meditate, relax, and forget the troubles of the world with eyes full of green. In front of the hall, there is a cactus owned by Mr. Gu, who is over 80 years old, and it makes me deeply moved. I ate breakfast while smelling the fragrance of books. It was a really different feeling. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and rich, and many arrangements surprised you. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home, all in all a pleasant trip.

The hotel is new, and my room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.The location was also a huge advantage, conveniently close to attractions like KuanZhai Alley and Shufeng Yayun Opera House, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, great service, and an exceptional experience!

JJackie travelI arrived at homestay 闲时依旧 from 毕棚沟at around 8.40pm . We were looking for the entrance and was there it was second floor and we had 4 heavy luggages 2 large and 2 small.
we didn't know there are 2 ways to get to the homestay 1.climb the ladder and 3 .elevator behind .
anyway ,we climbed the stairs🤭
Once we reach the Aunty was there she was smiling and not a lot of Thai stayed here .
The homestay has no elevator inside so you need to climb the ladder to your room which might be on second floor .
I was about to carry my heavy luggages one by one but Aunty suddenly took the heavy luggage for me and I told here no it is too heavy for lady but she insisted and carried it to the front door of my room.
she is so hospitable .She don't need to carry my bag it is too heavy for lady! I was at the same time ashamed and also impressed with how much she wanted to help.
I was grateful for that .Upone entering the room .It was cozy ,cute and we have a balcony which we used to have breakfast with view of the old town .
I really like this place .
Moreover, I was super impressed with the room facilities.
It is my first time in my life to see a homestay or hotel using CELLULOSE DISPOSABLE TOWEL .
WHY I CARED SO MUCH ABOUT IT?

AND CELLULOSE FIBER HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE INNOVATION THE INDUSTRY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LAUNCH IT TO THE MARKET .

THE HOMESTAY TOOK ME BY SURPRISED AND THAT IS SOMETHING I WANTED TO SAY ,YOU ARE BEYONG INNOVATION AND YOU HAVE COME TO THE POINT FEW PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO INVEST .
IN ADDITION, THE WATER THAT HOMESTAY OFFERED US IN ROOM THERE IS 1.5 LITRE AND 2 0.5 LITRE AND IT IS PETRIFIED WATER .WHICH IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT WE USUALLY SEE .I have been travelling and staying thousands of hotel even 5-6 stars no places offered such expensive water!!!!

We have a great night sleep souch that we got up a little late .So we rushed out to Panda Selfie and the spots we planned .
we asked the Aunty owner for information how to go and she was very vigilant and happy to tell us she even walked out to point us the way .
I cannot say how perfect our stay was bed was soft ,clean pillow is perfectly supportive . Amenities are not those cheap amenities ,all usable and have a price .
Soup is good ( normally I don't use any soup if it is not my own).
The hot tap shower have digital heat and cool control with Celsius Digital you can turn 33 ,34 35, ,23 ,24 ,25 Celsius accurately.
All these are something meticulously thoughtful .And invested for the pleasure of the visitors.
Since we love the stay so much and we love the city.
we decided to stay 1 more night in Dujiangyan .Also because we love 青城山 ，but when we visited there it was already 3pm too late to enter and enjoy the nature .
so we WeChat to aunty and told here we will stay 1 more night .And she upgraded for us to bigeer room with 2 beds very spacious .with the same price because the room type we booked was full.
You see how good she is ,the next night we stayed in spacious room with very clean beds as usual.
All I can say if I can give full star of 10 I wanted to give

GGuest UserHotel building and property are huge and well located if you want to visit panda breeding center. Free shuttle is also provided. Breakfast is ok, but nothing exceptional, no fresh juice and coffee poor quality. Overall English knowledge is very low. Unfortunately smoking is allowed and it ruins totally experience when you enter the spa and the staff is talking to you whilst smoking. Just unacceptable.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, a mini bar in the room, welcome fruits, online hotel services, and the butler is always attentive to your well-being. There are also many free projects in the hot spring center. The holiday experience is very good and I will come again if I have the chance.

GGuest User1) Subway station is 30 seconds right across the road.
2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm.
3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best.
4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible.
5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose.
6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out.
7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron.
8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes.
9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.

The service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. English is spoken at the check in desk and foreign guests shouldn’t have any issues with staying here hassle-free.
The breakfast is fairly varied, possibly geared more towards the locals, but there is plenty for international palates.
Bedroom was spacious, comfy and quiet. Some of the hard furnishings might seem slightly worn, perfectly normal for the age of the hotel. My only gripe was the non-functioning holder for the bathroom shower head which wouldn’t hold the shower head in place as it was broken. However, the overhead shower curtain worked perfectly and was a substitute for the actual shower itself.

CCeeVieAreThis is my first visit to Chengdu and Qionglai city. This hotel or courtyard stay is affiliated to Wyndham Garden along Wenjun Street i.e. big square with various shops for shopping (sports attire brands, yinshion, Miniso), dining and decors perfect for social media posting. Dining options include McD, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chagee, Naixue, Heytea, Mixue and local brand dining or beverage operators. Outside the square/Wyndham Garden there are Lawson, Family Mart, 7 eleven and local Hongqiao marts(prices lower). Local mini restaurants selling Sichuan food, noodles, dumplings, snacks are also available outside the square/garden, opposite AllAboutLove bakery and Naixue outlet.
Qionglai city is closely associated with a historical female poet called Zhuo Wenjun. Her residence and Wenjun well built during Han Dynasty is located 10-15 mins walk from Wyndham Garden. Look for Bank of China branch and walk across the street to reach China Construction Bank branch
Then walk straight down until you see a public toilet on your right and cross the street. Walk until you see an open space carpark and go in the carpark you will find Wenjun Residence on your left, entry is free.
You may book a car to Qionglai city from Tianfu airport but be prepared to pay RMB400+ equivalent using trip app. Going back to Chengdu city by car is about RMB200. Standby with some cash if you encounter QR code scan problem. There are also buses and trains options to reach here.
1 -0.5 hours drive you can visit famous Tiantai Mountain, Pingle Ancient Town, Bamboo Canyon Scenic Area ( went there and love it❤️❤️❤) , Yuanwozi winery, etc. ️
My stay was very refreshing and Manager Ma was very helpful and accommodating to all my queries. My travelling plans to nearby attractions was fulfilled despite unfavourable weather, drizzling 2 days non stop. I would recommend for atleast 2 night stays to enjoy 1 day outskirt trip + 1 day chill in the room and enjoy backyard outdoor onsen to relax. Breakfast buffet include western (cereal/salad/eggs/sausages/ham/fries/bread), dimsum, soup, cakoi and soya bean, 3x types of porridges and condiments, local breakfast ( starter or salad, fried rice, meat and vegetable dishes), deserts, local fruits and cut fruits. Hotel staff can also help to order takeouts for you.
