The Garden Suite was large, beyond well appointed and “Charleston” through and through. Parking right outside the suite was a big plus. The owners and staff were welcoming, thoughtful and full of great recommendations, like dinner at Chubby Fish, a short walk away.

For what you got, the price was way out of range. Instead of a 5-star experience, we got a 3-star at best and we may be a little too generous. We were not pleased with the level of service, location and just feeling while we stayed there. The pictures were fantastic and we were excited. By the end of the trip, we were less excited with where we stayed.

Excellent traditional southern-styled property. Friendly staff and modern spacious rooms. Just 10 minutes from the main high street with many very good restaurants nearby. Would definitely return. Charleston also extremely friendly place to visit.

This is a very comfortable, luxurious and convenient place to stay in Charleston. Very comfortable bed. Nice linens. High end furniture throughout. Excellent coffee in the morning, wine in the afternoon and chocolate at night. Excellent communication throughout our stay. And a great location. Walking distance to upper King street, private parking out back and easy access to the highway for outside the city sight seeing. Some day they may have a pool.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here as part of our "babymoon" and it was the perfect stay. The rooms are exquisite and so much attention to detail is paid. The pictures hardly do it justice. The provided continental breakfast with homemade everything and the 5pm wine and cheese hour are all added perks. It is close enough to walk everywhere, but also on a quiet side street. The inn keepers are very attentive and even kindly upgraded our room as a nice surprise. I'd also pay to learn what they pump into the vents because it smells like orange or jasmine and it's wonderful.

Absolutely fabulous! Rooms, breakfast, pool and most of all the staff. Loved the wine and cheese hour too. It’s like a little oasis in Charleston. If you’re looking for a quiet, unpretentious and low key luxury boutique retreat this is your place.

Do yourself a favor and book a trip to beautiful 86 Cannon! They say love is in the details, and that is certainly evident in this spectacular place. Quiet location, yet convenient to shopping and restaurants. Impeccable staff, beyond helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful, true to the charm and history of the buildings, yet with every modern updated convenience. Daily breakfast on the veranda was a highlight, as was the complementary wine and cheeseboard from 5 to 6 daily. We took advantage of every nook, in every common area, of which there were many- beautiful, interesting, comfortable settings, from the courtyard gardens to the third floor lounge, to the verandas. We enjoyed utilizing the sweet bikes for a short ride around the area. We also particularly appreciated having a designated parking space. The linens, the decor, the bath amenities, all superb! Many thanks and much love to 86 Cannon, until we visit again!

Beautiful place! Room was amazing - very comfortable beds! The concierge services provided were perfect. We enjoyed the extra perks of breakfast and afternoon wine. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy morning coffee on the patio or just to relax and get away, 86 Cannon is the spot!

My favorite place to stay in Charleston! Love the attention to every little detail. The pool is gorgeous! Fantastic staff! Walk to all the best restaurants and shops with King Street just a few blocks away. And you can park right on the property with no valet. Super easy!
