Lanou Hotels in Chaozhou

If you are looking for a quiet hotel in the area well connected to the train station, this is it. Everyone in the hotel were genuinely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and specious, although if you are a non smoker better inform the hotel to prepare a room without the cigarette smell. They have Chinese style breakfast. During the weekdays, with only few guest, there weren't much choice, but everything was good. During weekends with more guests there were a lot of options. Only if they have real coffee, not instant... Hot Springs Area was additionally paid 88 per person, open 14-21. It was a very nice experience, but expect a lot of people during weekends. Unfortunately while inside, you cannot to go to the hotel restaurant to eat something, but you can order waimai. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and big thanks to the front desk staff for all the support 😊

You can go to the hotel from the airport bus line no.6 (to Chaozhou ) at the bus station no.2(chihu bus station) and walk back about 150 meters, cross the road and you will see the hotel. The location was nice. They have the mall near hotel(Buliding A, B, C) and the KFC really close to the hotel and we enjoy about heytea and chagee too. Staff don’t speak english, but they use a translator for communicate us. They were nice and don’t hesitate to help us although we don’t understand for each other. The real lobby is on the 5th floor. The breakfast was great. They have a cook noodle so you can use 3 noodles for them cook. And the soup was great.!!! And they also have a congee, fried rice, some stir fried meatball and vegetable, dim sum, salad, yogurt and bread zone. It’s so various.

Hotel is clean and the staff are super helpful. The little play area kept the kids entertained for hours. There's a cute little library with a selection of books. Good selection of local food for breakfast.

Food and amenities are good, but disappointing service given the price paid is double to triple of the amount charged by other options in the city. Specifically: 1) Bought a package which included dinner set but they refused to acknowledge that dinner was included until after a series of negotiations and after we contacted agent who pointed out to them that they did not see the terms and conditions on the slip from agent to hotel. 2) Request for birthday surprise through agent was not received by hotel. When asked to note the birthday surprise, it was sent to the wrong room. 3) During check out, the deposit was not returned within 10-15 minutes as suggested by the staff at check out. Had to call long distance to sort out the issue (though they sorted it immediately upon receipt of my call). Perhaps more staff training would help to improve overall service quality.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in recently. Although it takes about 40 minutes (via Didi Car) to travel from Chaosan Station, the hotel is nicely located opposite West Lake/Park and near major tourist attractions (Kai Yuan Temple开元寺, GuangJi Tower/Wall/Bridge 广济桥), shops and eateries (Paifang Food Street牌坊街, XiNan Food Street 西南路). There are a few decent restaurants just beside the hotel too. Art Hotel Han Si XiHu lives up to its name as the hotel is beautifully decorated with art pieces, especially at the lounge area where there is a nightly Chinese string instrument (Guzheng) performance (except Tuesdays). A shoutout to the hotel staff : - the warm and helpful reception staff (Miss Chen 陈小姐 and Miss Li 李小姐） - the excellent housekeeping staff who thoughtfully supplied extra coffee bags after knowing I drink coffee - the service staff who did not just walk past me but greeted me and also introduced me to the free Chaozhou dessert (evenings only) and tea provided at the reception lounge The hotel room we booked was very spacious and the amenities were adequate and of high quality (think there isn’t a room safe but no biggie). There was even a complete tea set to make a proper cup of Chinese tea. A room air purifier and dehumidifier are provided. The bed is big and comfortable with adequate pillows. The aircon here works perfectly unlike other hotels’ useless control settings. I like the huge projector screen entertainment system except there isn’t much to offer non-Chinese guests. Soundproofing-wise, we could occasionally hear neighbouring room doors close and people talking in the corridors but it wasn’t a big issue. The shower and toilet area is large but the entire floor will become wet & slippery after a shower as there isn’t a screen to contain the spray from the shower. The hotel does provide a floor mat and bathroom slippers to prevent slipping.

We had a wonderful experience at 桔子酒店（潮州古城人民廣場店）. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Full of orange flavour in hotel such as hand wash, body wash, shampoo, hair conditioner, candies and snacks.

The hotel is in a good location, with convenient restaurants around and underground parking spaces. It is a little far from the ancient city, but it is also convenient to call a taxi. If you drive, try not to live near the ancient city. There are many people and cars, traffic jams, and food is expensive. It is more down-to-earth near the hotel. There is a sashimi restaurant opposite Shengji Beef Hotpot. You can order takeout and taste it together in the hotpot restaurant. The beef tastes good, and the sashimi is also good. It is about 500 meters away from the hotel. Xie Bing, the front desk clerk, gave a warm thumbs up!

Hotel is 4mins drive away from the ChaoShan Station. We took the pre booked free shuttle to the station, the service is punctual and good. Around the hotel, there are many restaurants and mini mart, very convenient. The room is spacious and the bed is firm and comfortable, the air conditioner is accurate and cozy. The toilet and bathroom is of good standard, the towels are thick and comfortable. room is quiet. Included breakfast buffet is adequate and of good quality. Dinner we ate in a local mutton soup stall opposite, cost about RMB 50 per person, very reasonable Price of HKD370 during CNY is very reasonable too.

The hotel is located in the middle of food street with plenty restaurants a few steps away. Just round the corner is Paifang Street and the river a short walk away. Room was clean and has all.i needed. Will book again if back.
