The Homestay has recently been renovated and the rooms are smartly presented in a modern style (I forgot to take pictures until the last day).
The bathroom is small but well equipped and there is a plentiful supply of hot water.
The location is quiet and within easy reach of the main attractions within the old city. It also feels safe with a locked lobby door as well as good security on the rooms. The owner is friendly and helpful although you really do need to be a Chinese speaker like my wife to communicate effectively.
The only real negatives are the lack of wardrobe space, the TV projector which can only be viewed with all the lights off and the curtains drawn and the slightly irregular room cleaning/supply replenishment. Other than that well recommended.

The hotel is located conveniently near the ancient city. There is a locked door to the street, which gives a sense of safety. There is a projector for watching programs which was fun to play with. There isn’t a room service on the second day. It could be cleaner. The amenities are basic, as expected.

The room was very nice,
You can make tea in the attic.
The room is quiet, and it's quiet in the middle of the bustle of the ancient city.
Very suitable for people who like quietness
You can walk to the city gate and the river to see the night view.
The rice rolls for breakfast at the entrance of the alley are also very good.

The room is small, quiet, clean, and the service is friendly. At the end of Pai Fang Street, a little further by bus. There is no elevator. I live on the third floor. The lobby is on the first floor. It is a bit hard to climb the stairs. Fortunately, the boss helped me carry my luggage. Just one night.
