Hotel Aroma

Please do think twice if you are about to book a room here. I stayed here for a night after a nine day vacation to all the famous destinations in Himachal. But unfortunately I had to end my vacation with a disaster and horrible experience. I had to negotiate a lot before booking a room for an exorbitant price of rupees three thousand five hundred per night. and we were offered a stinky room which we denied. Later we were moved to another room which was equally horrible but less stinky. Little did we know that they have a new property next door which they never recommend. They have all the things which you don’t want to see during a stay such as leaking taps, cockroaches, stinky rooms, stained bed sheets, shabby rooms. My son started to have vomiting and stomach upset after having the dinner here. Highlight is that for breakfast they serve sandwiches, chicken sausage gravy, pastry and they call it is Indian breakfast. I wonder how if Idli, dosa, puri, wada have been considered as foreign cuisine. Adding to the confusion they have bread toast on one end and butter on the other end.. Forgot to mention the best part, their room service number never gets attended and if you drop a message or a request for room service at the reception it will never reach the room service or house keeping section. And the management was so negligent enough that my early booking was for two nights but after this bitter experience, when I informed about checkout, they didn’t even enquired about why I am leaving early. Worst experience… This is not a heritage property, it is just a old building which was never renovated or upgraded with time.

I was vying to stay in this hotel for a very long time, and I did not miss the chance this time in last December, 2022. I would say that the stay was fantastic. 1: The check-in experience was very good. I had checked in at around 11 p.m., and I was greeted with a smile. My room was alloted almost immediately . 2: Food and hospitality was great . I loved the spread offered during breakfast and dinner, and it tasted awesome. The room had all the gadgets and furniture toprovide a comfortable stay to its guests. There are 3 points that led me to deduct the stars. 1: Room was stuffy. The reason could be that it was a tad small and had a lot of wood pannels , paintings etc. 2: The hotel should work on their geyser. It takes very long to heat watwr, and their shower fixture was very tricky. I had to seek help. 3: The restaurant had a common door with an external food court that was accessable by normal shoppers in that area. In my view , during dinner time, the restaurant was overcrowded, and room guests, including me had to hunt for a table. I was, however, helped by a waiter .

Rude staff. Bad service. At a great location, has great restaurants adjoining hotel. Linen was dirty.Room very darty and night manager very bed person he don't know how to treat guest very bed service Very bad experience!
