Hotels near Posh Concept Store in Cebu

This is a budget friendly choice if you need to a short stay in Cebu city. Its ideally located near JY so transportation will not be a problem. They also have a resto called Tamp but its on the pricier side. Other restos/cafe just across the street as well. I had two overnight stays both booked on Agoda. The second stay, I decided to walk in however the front office desk agent advised me that they did not have availability. Strange. I booked a room via Agoda on the spot and was able to get the room and a good rate. Room pretty basic but it had the necessary amenities like coffee/tea making facilities. Also toiletries. Have to mention that on my 2nd stay, I was given a room that did not smell fresh. It was clean and all but the linens smelled like they did not dry properly so it was annoying. I did not raise an issue with front desk because it was just an overnight stay All in all, they offer better rates than the Yello hotel just across the road. They have long stay and day use rates as well.

One of the Best Hotels in Lahug offers quality accommodation that fits your budget -a walking distance to Cebu IT Park for freelancers/IT (if you are senior, has physical limitations, just chillin', on vacation with love ones/family/buddies, a freelancer- this is a safe, clean and quiet place) more than an hour ride to the airport. Lobby area is fair size with two very responsive staff receiving guests at the front desk during the day and awesome graveyard staff at front desk. Rooms are of a spacious (Deluxe Twin Room wherewe stayed with my family) size, separate doors for the bathroom and the restroom. Colors of the room are pretty relaxing (yellow for Yello Hotel). Decent speed for the complimentary Wi-Fi internet access (stayed at the sixth floor). The restaurant is located at the roof deck (they have three sets of working elevators) and offers variety of foods and drinks (they have a mini bar) at the roof deck. Free secured parking is also available. For public transport- taxi or grab ride. Will definitely recommend this place 5/5. When in Cebu, it is worth to give it a try. We are definitely coming back! OYO 18 Suites, a great new hotel close to JY Square in Cebu City, offers super clean and spacious accommodation at very reasonable rates. Staff are always friendly and helpful and management strives to keep their guests satisfied as we found out when a couple of issues arose on our last stay there. Both issues were resolved promptly and to our satisfaction (Thanks to Ms.Emily!). Rooms are indeed basic, but very comfortable and good-sized by any hotel standard; so too are the bathrooms which feature hot and cold water showers only. Each room comes with a good-sized window and blind to keep out the strong afternoon sun. We prefer rooms on the JY Square side as the sun is not so strong. Each room has an excellent A/C unit and a small table with two chairs which are adequate to sit and eat at. None of the rooms have balcony access. No pool or gym facilities are available, but recently a restaurant has opened up on the ground floor and operates separately to the hotel. We have not tried the restaurant as yet, but it does offer a plated breakfast apparently. There are many places (fast food outlets, canderias and restos) to eat in and around JY Square at the end of Sanson Road, about 5 minutes walk away. Banks, money changers and jeepneys are also available in the same stretch of main road. JYSquare also offers a medium-sized supermarket. Mango and Fuentes Osmena Circle are 15-20 minutes by taxi/Grab. All in all, a good-value-for-money hotel outside of central Cebu City and highly recommended for short stays. We keep coming back every time we visit Cebu.

I love the water dispenser idea to reduce plastic use. Can take hot, normal and cold water from the machine near my room 605. I felt so familiar when I decided to book a night here. When I went into the room I opened my email to see that I stayed once on 21 March 2019. Room is very large and comfortable although not new. The charming of the hotel and staff are still the same. Breakfast is set and simple. Restaurant is closed at 21:30pm so we had to walk outside to have dinner. Easy to find places to eat around the hotel. Near 2 Robinson malls at the roundabout and near a convenience store. Deposit 1,000 Peso. 7th floor has very high walls around so views are blocked. If they renovate, hope that they would make glass fences instead.

The location is good close to Ayala Cebu and the suite was clean and decent size. However there was no internet signal throughout the stay in the room. Complained numerous times to the staff but they weren’t able to resolve the issue.

The room is clean as always. Bathroom is spotless and no smell. Its good for budget hotel and location is accessible, although it is difficult to catch taxi when you are in a hurry. Overall it is a cheap and nice place to crash from traveling.

Third time staying in this hotel. No slippers provided this time but it’s fine. Overall stay was great, the staffs are polite and helpful. We had so much fun

Good location near Ayala Center mall, although walking there is a bit hazardous. The outdoor common areas with the restaurant and pool are good. The gym is exceptionally well equipped for a hotel, although average cleanliness. The security policies are a little weird, not letting people leave without clearance at certain times (while letting people into the aforementioned common areas freely).

This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.

I would give it a 3/5 for my 3 nights stay! The rooms were clean and quiet. It is away from the loud music or noise from elsewhere. The rooms are new as well. It is cheap so you get what you've paid for. Staffs at the Front Desk can be a little more welcoming to be honest. They will just look at you when you pass by the Reception especially during the afternoon time shift girl and guy and the 2 guys in the Morning are the coldest person ever. I think that what is lacking! They find it hard to greet you even a hi or hello! They should learn from the staffs in the 3 star Hotels in Bohol or Palawan. Despite their Hotel is not new they even out the experience with a sincere and welcoming smile. Could have also been better if they provide a minibar or a water kettle to have some coffee or something. If you are on a budget and no issues with unwelcoming staffs in the Hotel, This Hotel is recommended!
